308 First Encounter

Braeden sat in the rover waiting for his men to come back out so he could shower off the smell of this place. 

Reclining back in his seat and feeling a little hungry from not eating all day, he pulled out a sustenance bar to hold him over until they are able to get some dinner.

Whistling and monitoring his men complaints on the comms, Braeden felt himself relaxing to the quietness of the city's streets. 

Taking a look at the time and seeing the sun touching the horizon, he decided to check in with his men. 

"Squad leader, come in…"

"Yes, sir."

"What's your status?"

"We have located the panel board in the house, we are taking it out now sir."

"Okay, make sure it works befor-SCREEEEEECH!"

Both sides of the comms went silent.

"Sir…?" The men all froze and looked around the room with their weapons in their hands.

"Squad leader...you heard that?" Braeden scanned his surrounding.
