70 Fears

Young master Joanos was the first to come back to himself.

"Go and alert Lord Tasar of want has happened, send someone to see about young miss Lixiss." Snapping at the guards who stood in a daze, one went into Lord Tasar office while the other went to see about young miss Lixiss.

Holding Kasra in his arms, Joanos saw the bruises on Kasra's neck and could guess that has happened.

A look of loathing appeared on his face before wiping it away when Lord Tasar rush out his office coming to his side.

"Kasra!....Kasra! wake up, what has happened to Lixiss?" Lord Tasar tapped Kasra's face a couple of times but it still didn't do any good. She wouldn't wake up.

Turning to his guard Lord Tasar ordered him to call for a healer on the comms for Kasra before running towards Lixiss' residence.

Following in Lord Tasar's footsteps, Joanos passed Kasra to the guard and he chased after Lord Tasar.

The guard who went to check on Lixiss was pacing back and forth in her living room. Having already sent for a healer the only thing he could do was wait.

Look back towards young miss' bedroom, he didn't know how he should report to Lord Tasar. He hopes he saw wrong, for if the young miss is suffering from what is in her hand, a healer might not save her.

*Bang*

The front door knocked against the wall as Lord Tasar and Joanos rushed in one after the other.

"Where is she?... Is Lixiss all right?"

"Lord Tasar...she is in her bedroom. There was not much I could do, so I called for a healer. They should be here any minute." The guard followed Lord Tasar as charged into Lixiss' room.

Lord Tasar sat beside Lixiss' body, try to see what was wrong. Calling her name and shaking her shoulders Lord Tasar was getting more alarmed by the second.

Standing off to the side Joanos' gaze never left Lixiss' hand since entering the room.

"I don't understand what she causing her not the respond?..."

"Lord Tasar..." Joanos stopped Lord Tasar when he was about to use his gifts by pointing at Lixiss' hand.

Lord Tasar in his panic, overlooked his surrounding and didn't see the sack laying beside Lixiss' body.

"What is...?" Pulling out the vial from Lixiss hand, Lord Tasar popped the cork. Bring it to his nose, Lord Tasar instantly knew this smell.

"Why does she have this!?... How long has she...when did..." Lord Tasar had so many questions but no one was there to answer.

Just as Lord Tasar found the cause to Lixiss' illness the healer walked in.

Saavi sat all morning watching Mika sleep. Kaze had clean up all the blood and equipment from the guest room.

Making sure nothing was wrong with Mika during this time, they had no idea what was going on outside.

"How much longer does she have to be in there?" Kaze was not used to this quietness, even when it was only the three of them for the past couple of months. Miss Mikaela was such a talker and joker that it was never this silent.

The day was almost over and Mika has been sleeping it way, Kaze felt unease.

"She lost a lot of blood, young miss went through gruesome pain for about three hours straight. She going to need her rest."

Kaze knew this but he didn't like seeing the young miss who is so lively in a dead sleep. Kaze didn't know when he became so fond of Miss Mikaela that just her sleeping in a healing pod unnerved him.

"It's going to become night soon, I need to prepare dinner just in case she wakes up. You should take another patrol around the residence. Young miss will be at her weakest during this time."

"En..."

With both leaving her side to finish their task they didn't see the sight movement of Mika's hand.

Mika was trapped in her sleeper cell, she watched Kara and Pace laughed at her demised. The Commander general pushed the button, ejecting her into space. Everything was a dream, she was not reborn. She did not have a family waiting for her. Mika screamed at the top of her lungs in misery.

In the tube, Mika struggled to escape from her dreams.

The sounds of yelling and the beeping from the tube monitor had both Saavi and Kaze running into the bedroom.

Kaze had his sword out searching the room for any intruders, Saavi race to Mika's tube checking over all the readings.

"What's wrong!?..." Kaze came to Saavi's side when he saw there were no attackers.

"She's having a nightmare, and it's affecting her brainwaves. "

"Can't we just wake her up?"

"No. This was one of the things Lady Lyra warned me to look out for. She said there might be some side effects from the anti-venom mixing with the painkillers. "

"The nightmare...?"

"En... If young miss has them, we are to leave her alone. She needs to deal with it on her own. Even if we wake her up now, she'll still need to confront her fears when she does the procedure again. It's better if she goes through the nightmares now, that way the treatment will be easier the next time. Young miss' mental health is just as important as her physical health. That is what Lady Lyra told me."

"So we just wait...?"

"En..and pray young miss overcomes her fears."
