236 David and Goliath

Every time the golem caught up with Mika (which it did, many times), she would have to use all her strength to jump away. Barely saving herself from being crush by its massive arms and legs. 

"Ugh!" Again she was a hair-breath away from her leg being gone forever.

I won't be able to do this much longer, think Mika think!

This battle was tiring her out both mentally and physically. She hadn't used her gifts for much battling, and to using them for the first time like this was exhausting. She could feel the strain on her body.

"How long are you going to run for? You think my pet is going to run out of energy..." 

No, but I wish your mouth would! Mika rolled her eyes at Ms. Ynaselle jeers and kept on running.

"...but she does have a point..." Mika spoke to herself as she ducked from the golem's swinging arm.
