8 7. What am I Going To Do?

Annie walks out of the room and spots Toris standing by the door. "Annie." Annie knew what Toris wanted to ask. In a low voice, "I'm sorry. You should ask her about your sister."

Annie walks pass him and left the hospital.

Toris looks through the window. He sees Janie letting out a sigh. He wanted to ask her but he knew she wouldn't speak the truth of his sister's death. He turns his heels and head to his secret hideout.

As he got there, he re-examine everything which he had on Janie's file. He opens the oldest file, he grabs the file and head to the place where Janie grow up, the place where she becomes a prostitute.

He walks in and every women fell in love with him due to his muscular body. He speaks up, "I want to talk to the owner of this place." Every women were all shocked and one of them steps in. "What's this about?" "Janie."

She stares at Toris then nods. "Follow me." She turns to the ladies. "Ladies. It's alright. Continue your job." Toris follows her upstairs and enter a room.

She sits down and light up her cigarette. "If you're following for her, she's no longer here." "No. I have a few things I wanted to ask about her." "That is?" "What is she like? Is she willing to kill someone?"

She then press her cigarette into the ash tray. "Janie is very sweet gal. Her adopted mother dump her here. Janie is very young when she was here. We wouldn't let any man touch her. She's very special to us."

She looks away and look out the window. "Every man respects us and her, except for one. He's very into younger girls like Janie. He...raped her. Janie finds a way to escape from him. She kill him on the spot with a brick. It's self defense."

She looks at Toris. "That gal has been gone through a lot. My sister sacrificed herself for Janie. She told Janie to run. Janie hesitates so one of the customers grabbed her and take Janie away from this place." She lowers her gaze to her hands.

"Janie is like a sister to us. We didn't want her to stain her body with filth. The man came back and said Janie is in safe hands. We wanted to ask but didn't. We thought it's better not to know how she is. She probably blames herself for my sister's death."

She look at Toris. "Is she well?" Toris nods, "she is. She is solving the death of her friend's sister." She nods and smiles, "I'm glad."

...

Toris exits the place and head to the second location. He was lurking around the place. "Hey." He turns around and sees a man who has a scar on his face that was carrying a cane.

"You a cop?" "Yes." "Get out of here." He turns around and heads into the traditional mansion. "Janie." The man stops and turns around to look at Toris. "I'm here to talk about Janie. I know she's not home but I'm looking for the person who took her in."

Before the man could say anything else, a woman's voice speaks, "let him in, Grover." "Hmph." Toris follows the man and he meets an elderly woman.

Toris kneels down across from her and Grover. "Janie, you say?" "Yes." She nods. "What is it you want to know?" "Is it true that she was taken in by you?" She chuckles.

"My late husband took her in. She's very beautiful young gal but sadly she was tainted by them." "Are you in touch with her at all?" "She does write letters time to time."

She looks at Toris, "is she hurt?" "No. It's just...I heard that she's close friends with my sister, Jenny." "Jenny is your sister?" "Yes." She looks at Grover. Grover speaks up, "You....you cane here to find the truth, aren't you?"

"The truth?" "Your sister's death." "You guys know the reason?" The elderly woman speaks up, "I'm sorry. We cannot tell you the truth of her death. She promised your sister. We all promised Janie not to say anything without her content. One thing I can say is that Janie really liked her. She treated your sister as her own family."

Grover then said, "you should leave." Toris bows politely and left the mansion. Toris becomes more curious about his sister's death. (What are they hiding?)

After Toris left, Grover calls Janie. "Hello?" "Jan, it's me." "Grover. What is it?" "That cop has been poking around. He's been asking about Jenny's death." Janie wasn't surprised.

"Jenny was right about him. He won't stop until the truth uncovers." "He just left not too long ago." "Mm. Thank you but how did he find you guys?" "...I don't know." Janie then remembers a place. "I think I know. Thanks, Grover." "Anytime."

The call ends and Janie makes another phone call. "Keep an eye at that place. If he appears again, make him leave." "Yes ma'am." Janie ends the call and let out a sigh. "Toris....you need to know how to stop prying into this matter."

In the other end, Natalie yelling at Michael, "why can't I go and see my daughter?! She must be stealing, scared, for the goodness sake." "Hmph. She should have known what she's going to get into. That useless child."

"Michael!" He turns to her, "What can you do, huh? That person is still alive, but most importantly she She daughter of the Prime Minister! One mistake will cost our lives! There's no way I'm going to jail jus to save that pathetic daughter!"

Michael just walks away. Natalie clenched her fists. "You! After what I had done for you, yet you wouldn't even save Kelly!" Natalie grabs her purse and head out to meet the father of her child.

She got there and waits impatiently. "Just where the heck is he?" Minutes turns to an hour. She walks back and forth. (damn. These men are useless.) Her phone rings. She opens her purse and grabs her phone. (Unknown caller?)

Natalie picks it up, "Hello?" "Hi Natalie or should I say, Mattie." Natalie's eyes widened. "H-how...who are you?" "My name isn't that isn't important right now as your daughter's." "What did you do to Kelly?!"

"Nothing...yet. Depends on your actions." "What do you want?" "....I want to put Michael behind bars...but I need your help." "What is it?" "Simple. Basement." Natalie was shocked. "No. Michael said..."

The voice on the other line laughs. "Hahahaha! Since when you follow his instructions?" Natalie bit her lower lips. "I want you to gather all the evidences of what's in there without being caught. In exchange, I'll have someone help your daughter break out of prison."

Natalie thinks about it. "If you do anything out of ordinary, the deal is automatically off, your daughter will stay in prison for the rest of her life." Natalie grips her phone. "Ah. Right. I have a gift for you." The person hand the phone to a man. "Mattie. Don't do it! It's a trap!"

She was shocked to hear the voice of the father of her child. "Ken." "Two lives are at stake. I'm counting on you." The call ends. "What am I going to do?"
