*FLASHBACK CONTINUES*

I don't know why Ashley said that I will win this competition, when I asked her about this matter she didn't told me. They both gave me lot of confidence and by looking at their confidence I also felt that I can do something. I informed my mother about this and she became very happy about it and my father doesn't care about it as always because according to him it's so childish and he only wants me to focus on studies.

25 Days went in a blur and I got selected for fashion competition even though panel committee doesn't give me good remarks, may be it has something to do with Ashley and Sophie. Tomorrow is going to be the big day as tomorrow is competition and I have to do the best, mom brought me the one of the beautiful dress of yellow color and it has a little bow in it.

I arranged everything in hanger from dress to accessories and my mom is very excited for the competition because in her school days she won it so she expects me to win it as well. I am confident enough that I will win tomorrow because Ashley told me that his brother's friend is one of the panel members and she has a talk with him, I know it is cheating but at least I get to win and people may start liking me. I dozed off to sleep early so that I can look good tomorrow

NEXT DAY

I wake up with a beautiful sound of birds chirping and today I have different sought of confidence I think I will made it today, competition is going to be at 12'o clock and it is 10'o clock now. I brush my teeth and have a bath after that I wear my regular clothes and pack the clothes which I am going to wear at the competition.

I had my breakfast and my mom and dad said all the best to me, mom wants to come to see the competition but I denied them because I want to surprise them when I will take trophy to home. My mom persisted to come but I said no and left the house. I directly go to green room where Ashley and Sophie is already waiting for me. This is the common green room whenever we have any competition in our school; all the preparations are done here.

"So all ready" Ashley asked me in excited tone

"Yes I am all set and thank you so much for training me, I am feeling so confident and I know today I cannot make any mistake" I thanked both of them because they have given me all the sought of training

"Do you know what I brought for you" Ashley asked me

"What?" Sophie and I asked in unison

"I brought a makeup kit for you and I have learnt it from the internet about how to apply it" she told me excitedly, Ashley's mom is makeup artist

"It's a very good idea" Sophie said and I also nodded my head in agreement. It's my first time that I am going to apply makeup

"Okay now it's only an hour left, you wear the dress "she said to me so I go to washroom to change, I came back wearing my yellow bow dress.

"Oh my god, you are looking so pretty, this dress looks awesome on you" Sophie said to me and I look myself into the mirror, my dress is actually looking beautiful and it's my mom choice.

"Okay now sit, I will do your makeup" Ashley said to me and make me sit on the chair in front of mirror then she take out her makeup box and spread out the products on table. She takes only 15 minutes to complete my makeup and then I saw the mirror, I have never looked this beautiful , all my freckle are hidden and she added a glow to my face and the pink lip-gloss is actually complementing me, she adds a clip to my side partition.

"I am looking pretty thank you so much Ashley" I said hugging her

"I am sure you will win without any favor" Sophie said to me and the announcement of names gets started then enters shale in the room, her eyes met mine when she enters and she seems to be shocked for a second

"Oh the ugly duckling has done some makeup" she said to me and she is wearing a shimmery dress that is complementing her skin

"Anyways you are not going to win whatever you do" she said and gave me a look

"Okay we will see that" Sophie kind off challenged her whereas I and Ashley are only listening to that. After that the names started to call out in the mike, Sophie and Ashley left me alone saying good bye to me. I am impatiently waiting for my turn and I keep on checking on my makeup. And finally my name announced, I get up from chair and straighten my dress and advances my step towards the stage, I crossed my path with the shale but I ignored her

"Oh my god, Eva look at your dress your zip is open" she said to me and I panicked

"Don't worry I will help you" she said and I can't believe she is helping me

"Thank you so much" I said to her for her help and she smiled at me then I go towards the stage. I walk gracefully this time without any tripping but when I was in middle of stage I felt something ripped from the back then I felt that my zip is broken. I cried and run backstage.

When I reached backstage I notice that both sides of my dress have little holes in it too but it was perfect when I wore it here. Shit I am a loser I can never win anything. My dreams shattered and I couldn't help myself from crying, it's not in my destiny to have at least one perfect day. My whole life is mess then I looked myself in mirror, my makeup is washed away in tears and I am back to being ugly duckling
