1 Siegfried

Siegfried woke up with a huge headache, like his head was being repeatedly bashed in by a rock. His whole body was in pain, his throat parched and his hands shaky.

Where was he? Why did he feel so terrible? More importantly, who was he?

He remembered his name, but that was about it. His memories were liked broken plate, shattered into many pieces, and stabbing right into Siegfried when he tried to touch them.

"Oh, your awake?"

Siegfried's thoughts were put on hold as a woman holding a glass of water approached him. Wearing an apron above her green dress, her bluish gray was formed into a ponytail that flew in the air as she rapidly approached him.

The moment she handed him the glass of water, Siegfried immediately swallowed it down, like a man who had been stranded in the desert.

Feeling the cool liquid slip down his throat, Siegfried felt bits of clarity returning to him as his thirst began to wane.

"Where am I?"

Siegfried's voice was hoarse when he asked that question. Although he would like to rest more, figuring out his location took priority.

The gray haired haired girl pulled up the edges of her skirt in a curtsy. before saying

"I'm Syr Flova, a waitress in the Hostess of Fertility, where your currently at. Though if you want me to be more specific, we are in a pub located in Orario. We found you nearby, and since you were severely injured, we took you in and healed your injuries."

Hostess of Fertility? Orario? It didn't ring any bells. But considering the state of Siegfried's mind, it wouldn't be weird if he didn't find anything in his memories.

But before thinking about such things, he should express his gratitude first.

"Thank you for saving me. If theirs anything you need, I'll make sure to pay you back."

Siegfried wasn't an ungrateful person, nor was he a person that went back on his words. He was thankful towards the people of the pub for taking him in during such a dire situation.

In reply to his response, Syr smiled wickedly.

"Of course you'll pay us back. Do you know how much healing potions cost? Your in debt to us basically, and Mama intends on having you pay us back in the kitchen?"

"Uhm....okay?"

Siegfried didn't know how to reply to that. He wasn't scared of working to pay off his debt, but he was shocked by how blunt she was.

"But don't worry, we don't mistreat our employees. In exchange for your service, you'll get free meals and a roof over your head. Be thankful that Mama likes to pick up strays, after all, your the first man she has allowed to work in here."

Oh, that's good to know. Whoever this Mama was, Siegfried would remember to her his thanks. It was obvious she was trying to help Siegfried in the guess of having him pay her back. She must be a really kind individual.

"Another maid will come by later to show you the ropes, but for now, it will be just me. The others are working on their shift, and since I'm more of a part-timer here, she asked for me to take care of you. If you need anything, just ask!"

Siegfried swore that heard her say the last sentence with an ambiguous tone, but it was probably just his imagination. He clearly wasn't in the right state of mind.

"I'm fine thank you. I think I just need little bit of rest."

He was obviously very tired, and his body needed the relaxation.

"Fine then, I'll leave you to sleep in peace. But I have a questions for you. Do know were your from? Your definitely not from someone's Familia considering that you don't have a falna."

"I'm definitely not from a Familia, whatever that is. My memories or to blurry for me to understand anything, so I don't remember where I came from. In fact, I don't remember much at all."

"Really? Your amnesia must be very potent considering that you don't even know what a Familia is. Though I do feel bad that you don't remember anything."

She looked at me with a look of pity, but I could tell it was fake. Instead, behind those eyes of hers, I saw the look of fascination, like she had found some rare treasure."

Yep, this girl, Syr Flova, was definitely not your average woman. With his memories gone, Siegfried could only rely on his instincts, and they were telling him that she was more trouble then it was worth.

"Ok, final question before I go, what's your name?" Syr said with a curious tone.

Right, I never did introduce myself. She must have been calling me something weird in her head the whole time.

'My name is Siegfried, Siegfried Yggdmillenia. But you can call me Sieg."
