2 Before The Streets

Before we ended up homeless my family and I had what a lot of people call a normal life we had three cars, we had tvs in every room and we all had laptops we had jobs well my mom brother and I had jobs.

The three of us worked because dad can't work any longer and the reason for that is he's a heart patient a cancer survivor a diabetic and an amputee he did work for awhile but couldn't do it any longer it tires him out more so than it would you or I.

So my mom brother and I worked all different shifts andd them one day my brother was wrongfully fired from his job but no big deal my mom and I were still working and we figured my brother not working was God putting him where he was supposed to be with dad so he could help him out while mom and I were at work.

We were right in thinking God needed him at home with dad you see we had a cat and a dog and when my dad wasn't feeling well my brother would help my dad by taking the dog out feeding him and making sure dad had everything he needed and to make sure he didn't fall because that's another thing dad is a fall risk.

So I would work my third shift and my mom her second and my brother would help around the house with whatever dad needed so he could rest when he didn't feel well we learned to deal with two jobs and dads Social Security so rent was always paid on time and so were the bills no problem now this is how our weeks went.

Friday, Saturday,and Sunday mom worked three days part-time and I worked Friday,Saturday,Sunday,Monday,Tuesday and I was off two days so mom my brother and I would go shopping and sometimes dad would go with us and that was a few years ago we got into a routine work home clean shop live the way everyone does a normal life as some would call it.

We even got into a routine where mom and I spent the two days we had off together and we were done shopping that we would watch movies that is what our life was fun and love and thanking God every day for what he had given us and what he was going to bless us with next.

No we didn't go to church well mom and I didn't but that's not because we didn't want to my hours were insane and mom worked weird hours but we did read our bibles and we prayed we were greatful for everything we had we loved our animals and we love each other even though we get on each others nerves never the less we even found a way when not working or shopping to have family days and go and have fun even if we didn't have a lot of money we didn't care we had a safe dry place to call home food in our stomachs.

So you may be wondering how we ended up homeless if we paid rent and everything on time and there were two jobs don't worry I'm going to tell you I just wanted to show you that we did have what people call a normal life a normal family and never thought we would end up homeless nope none of that crossed our minds in 2015-2016 never once did we think it would happen in that time span.

But what would it have crossed our minds? I had a great job paid OK and I had health insurance so I was good we were doing good were happy and that's all thanks to God but he had other plans for us and yes you will get to see well read what we went thru and how we were able to handle it all.
