1 A New Life.

Ilyas was in his room cultivating when he suddenly opened his eyes and exhaled a long breath that looked like a 5-foot smoke snake.

His eyes suddenly turned gloomy when he remembered his past, Ilyas had a huge secret, he wasn't from this realm, he was from Earth. He doesn't remember how he got here, all he remembers was waking up in an unfamiliar place and then getting a huge headache.

After a headache, he seemed to remember all the memories of this body. He then realized that this person had died and he took possession of this body. He didn't know how the original soul in this body had died. This was something that was bothering him since he arrived here. He was also scared for his life in case the killer came back to find that he was still alive. He told himself he would deal with it when he can and that there was no use worrying about it. According to his memory, this realm was called The Sacred Realm. The place he lived currently was called Heavenly Gold Continent. Unsurprising there was 4 other continents called Heavenly Wood, Heavenly Water, Heavenly Fire and Heavenly Earth Continent.

He didn't know the real reason behind the name and didn't care about it. The Heavenly Gold Continent had 3 Hegemon Sects. Profound Earth Sect, The Holy Sect, and The Nameless Sect.

They each had an expert grand elder watching over them. Then there were high ranked sects, then mid-ranked sects then low leveled sects and lastly unranked sects. The ranking was based on how many experts a sect had. The number of disciples didn't matter too much, the highest rank cultivator of the sect decided what rank that that sect would be.

The only good thing about this situation was that this body was talented, His talent was mid 7 stars. The talent was ranked from 0 stars meaning can't cultivate to 10 star which was peak talent. It was further divided into 4 sub-groups. 1 star to 3 stars was low ranked talent, 4 stars to 6 stars were mid-ranked talent, 7 stars to 9 stars was high ranked talent and 10 star was top-ranked talent. Each star was also further divided into 3 levels, low, mid and high.

There were rumors of 11 and 12 stars existing but it was never confirmed.

Currently, Ilyas was an Outer sect Disciple of Profound Earth Sect. He was a new disciple as he was just accepted to join the sect in the Immortal Gathering 2 days ago, he barely passed the test set by the school, normally the school wouldn't have picked him but his talent added value to him and was finally accepted into the school. His talent really was rare as in the whole profound school had no more than three 8 stars ranked cultivators, and all three were low 8 stars ranked. 9-star talent hasn't appeared in the last 1000 years. So most sects put all their efforts into recruiting 8 and 7-star students. Finding an 8 star was a once in a century occasion and didn't happen too often, so the real peak Elite students were 7-star students.

Cultivators get their talents tested when they reach 5 years old, they go to the nearest city where they are given a pill and after an hour there are tested to see how much of the medicine the absorbed. 0 star was absorbed nothing. 1 star was 1%, 2 star was 5 %, 3 star was 10 %, 4 star was 20%, 5 star was 30%, 6 star was 40%, 7 star was 50 %, 8 star was 60%, 9 stars and above was known by the general masses. When a cultivator cultivates they draw the surrounding energy into their bodies and refine it, depending on the amount u retain, u could progress in cultivation very fast or very slow. But as they say, heavens leaves a window open when it closes a door. There was an event that happens every 5 years which a special area opens, only low-level cultivators can enter. It is said that there is treasure there which can naturally raise ur talent if you manage to survive, the place was called the Rebirth region.
