1 Origins

On the plains of the Keisai continent, a bloody battle battle was waged. Overlooking the hellfire of the war and the powerful energy attacks slung by both Demon, and Angel alike. A fight smaller in size but also holding the greatest consequence, a battle between two Generals and their partners in battle.

Sha Eyun flew with his demonic wings to hover next to his battle companion Yinying, a silver crowned shadow hawk. They stood in the air far above the main battle as they faced off against the angel general and his partner, another female angel.

"General Eyun, I suggest you give up now else something regretful might happen." The angel General said in a snarky tone.

Sha Eyun looked at them with contempt. "Ha, regretful? You should not speak bullshit, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Do you really think that I would cower in front of such pitiful opponents such as you."

"You may not, but you should." The angel said with a vicious glint in his eye as his arm swung out with speeds untrackable to the untrained eye. Following the slash of his arm was a crescent shaped blade of white and golden energies that slashed towards Sha Eyun leaving a trail of white light.

With a harrumph he waved out his own arm in a much more relaxed way followed by a large claw made of a black energy that left a trail of smoke. The two attacks clashed with each other causing shockwaves to reverberate throughout the whole battle and even kill a few soldiers who were on the last legs of their lives. During the clash the two partners also launched into action, Yinying flashed towards the angel woman as nimble as a shadow before striking out with a clawed foot that was met with twin white daggers produced by his opponent.

In the first exchange of attacks the angel general's light crescent actually came out on top as it pushed Sha Eyun's shadow claw attack back a bit before they finally canceled each other out. A small frown appeared on his face after seeing the outcome of the first test of strength, while the angel general wore his own smirk.

In battles between combatants of high levels. Even if it is only a small disadvantage, it will continue to grow and eventually leave one in a state of peril.

Sha Eyun harrumphed as he rapidly flung out blades formed from his demonic essence that was created in his demonic core. His attacks were matched by the angel generals own angelic essence. They matched each other strike for strike as their battle quickly turned into one of endurance.

Yinying was quickly gaining the upper hand in his exchanges as the female angel seemed to be weighed down by something.

Yinying's attacks continuously slipped through the defense of his opponent like flowing snakes causing superficial wounds. Although small cuts, in numerous amounts they would eventually lead to a bad situation for the partner of the angel general.

Eventually the angel general noticed the outcomes of the skirmish between his partner and Yinying, and he grew enraged and his attacks became more ferocious. In their trades of blows they had moved downwards and were now only a few meters above the ground

Sha Eyun felt like he was fighting an uphill battle as he sent out stronger blows to match those of the angel general. He saw his opponent preparing an ultimate attack, thus forcing him to ready his own.

In front of the angel general his angelic energies began to surge out of his body forming into a giant glowing white sword in front of his outstretched hands. With an internal shout from the angel general the giant sword shot out towards Sha Eyun at insane speeds, Holy Lord's Swift Blade!

At that moment, large amounts of demonic energy pooled to form a giant pitch black spear. With his own internal shout he swung his arm sending the attack to meet that of the angel general, Demon King's Abyssal Spear!

The two ultimate attacks collided. Where one was fast and ferocious the other moved slowly with boundless strength like a massive grindstone.

The collision of attacks caused an explosion that left the land around them destroyed, and leaving a large crater

Sha Eyun struggled to fly above the crater as he coughed up black blood. There was a large wound cutting open the left side of his abdomen where a fragment of the light sword struck him. The angel general wasn't that better off as his left shoulder was pierced through by the remaining energies of the black spear, rendering it useless.

Sha Eyun didn't get a chance to respond as the angel general quickly moved in front of him and landed a powerful kick to the wounded side of his waisted launching him towards the ground causing his wings to be crushed beneath him on his landing.

From the blow to his pride and the loss of the wings the both angels and demon treasure dearly, he let out a roar towards the sky. Yinying instantly heard the cry and quickly landed a strong attack to the right arm of the female angel before rushing to Sha Eyun's side to protect him.

Yinying and the angel general both went to their partners sides to protect them. As Yinying landed next to him, Sha Eyun could already feel his soul weakening. He weekly patted his lifelong friend on the shoulder causing Yinying to stop trying to frantially help him and look into his eyes.

After looking at each other for just a couple seconds they had already come to an agreement. This was the strength of their bond.

Yinying flew and took a defensive stance in front of Sha Eyun, letting out a shrill cry at the sky as the angel general and his partner flew up in front of him.

With a merciless look, the angel general swiped out his good arm launching a blade of light towards Yinying. It easily broke through Yinying's counter attack and slashed across the bird's chest knocking him to the ground beside Sha Eyun, crimson blood began to see between his feathers causing a sharp contrast on the ink black plumage. Yinying looked over at Sha Eyun for a moment before closing his eyes and his breathing slowly slowed to a stop.

Sha Eyun's eyes were steeled with resolve before he closed him and began his secret attack with his dying soul. He focused of the directions of the ancient skill before his spoke out quietly in his mind, Soul Walk.

Invisible to the eye, an ethereal black orb rose from between Sha Eyun's eyebrows and floated into the air. 'If I can't defeat you i will drive you insane by killing what is dear to you.' he thought before he moved his soul towards the angel generals partner. He planned to destroy her soul using the remaining energies in his own.

He directed his soul walking skill to move towards the woman's forehead but he began to be uncontrollably drawn lower towards her navel. Only a soul could see another soul, and when Sha Eyun looked through his soul he could feel the dull white golf ball sized soul in the woman's mind sea, located in the head. But he could feel something else below her navel. As his soul was drawn closed he eventually came to see another soul. 'What, how can she have two souls?'.

There was something else about this second soul, it was only the size of a marble. The marble size soul radiated white light like a lustrous pearl. 'And.. How can it be so pure? Even if it's this small, my weakened soul won't be able to take it over.' destroying this soul would be simple in his normal state, but after his battle his soul was weakened to just ten percent of its it's normal strength. 'It seems this will be the end for me.' Sha Eyun sighed as his own black soul came in contact with the white soul creating an invisible flash of black and white light, knocking him out of consciousness.
