87 I F***ed Up. Please Read this A/N.

Hey, what's up guys. Ramenbro here, I would like to thank all my readers for their constructive feedback on my latest chapter. Especially – Daoist8sLX7y, DarkestCalling, ZeroTheF0olish_ and LordValmar. These four were the ones who commented and made me realize that I f**ked up big time in my latest chapter but it's still not too late to fix things.

I re-read the chapters many times and thought about the previous ones as well. I came to the conclusion that while I can easily make it work (the harem legalization bill), it might lead to some problems and might break the immersion of my readers as well.

This point was raised by Daoist8s and I agree with him, he also gave a good alternative for it that I think works really well for my story. So, here is his alternative for the new perk that he came up with –

"it'd just be easier if MC's situation became more sympathetic to the world at large the more influential he is.. if he is ever found out, probably quite far into the fic (?), then just make it a personal preference issue. They are all consenting adults, they're not advocating for harems in society at large and they keep it private." – Daoist8s

This was his pitch for how Mark can be given a new perk that slowly minimizes or normalizes the consequences of Mark trying to create a harem. Pretty good to be honest and I can already see how I can create drama and conflicts surrounding this perk and topic in the story.

Thanks for the suggestion and commenting brother Daoist8s. Daoist Ramen, here is very new in his journey to become a writer and I truly need all the help I can get. So, Here is the description of the new perk that I am thinking about giving to Mark –

[«New Perk» Harem King's Privilege —

Grants the user with the privilege to be seen as a special entity and to be treated as one by the world.

This perk causes the world to become more understanding and supportive of the user's eccentric decisions and choices, as he grows more influential and powerful.

Whether it be to create a harem, buying an entire island to create a paradise home, building his own city state or country, or even running for president. The more absurd the decision, the more influential and powerful the user needs to be to gain support or at least not suffer any backlash.]

This new perk doesn't change the past but rather changes Mark's potential future, the options that can take as Mark also widens alot with this new perk. Once again I would like to thank brother Daoist8s it really wouldn't have been possible without his input. Its basically everything Daoist8s said, but I just stretched it to be a bit more OP. I personally like this new perk over the previous one much more.

Now if the feedback were only to be limited to the fact that they didn't like the new perk. Then I guess this note would stop here but I got another feedback that made me realize that maybe I had been a little bit too hasty while trying to implement the new perk into the story. I felt like feedback was quite valid as well, but in the end, I want you guys to decide. So please vote in the poll given below.

BUT FIRST A POLL –

Option 1: Rewrite the previous chapter with this new perk replacing the old one – Harem King's Privilege (HKP) will replace Harem King's Right.

Or

Option 2: Replace it with a completely new perk and give HKP to Mark later on in the story.

If you guys do feel like it's a bit too early to introduce Harem King's Privilege to the story then you guys will need to select a different perk. I had already conceptualised a few perks already so just vote on the one that you think is the best for now.

Even if you guys don't choose the second option, I would really appreciate it if you could vote for the perk that you like the most out of the three that I am going to list below. This is so that when the next time the HK skill evolves I will know which perk will be unlocked for Mark.

When people believe that they owe the user or that the user has done something to help them, they will become increasingly determined to pay you back in whatever way they can. The deeper they believe the debt to be, the more they are willing to do to return the favor.]

2.[ «New Perk» Harem King's Banner —

Causes the user's name and image to inspire fear/worry/unease/anxiety in the hearts of their enemies and inspires their allies (employees or partners) to go the extra mile to prove their loyalty to the user.

If the user's allies are in the presence of something that represents the user, they gain a small buff to all stats and skills and enemies gain a small debuff.]

3.[ «New Perk» Harem King's Speech —

Increases the user's charm when speaking, allowing them to make people feel less guarded and more trusting. By adding a specific phase to your requests, you can slowly train a person to respond to that phrase.

Example – "Would you kindly open the door for me?" can lead to "Would you kindly help me frame someone and send them to jail?" with enough time, subtlety and manipulation.]
