2 Introduction to Omegaverse

What is Omegaverse?

Coming from Europe and America we welcome a very special universe for BL. Originally intended as a parody for sci-fi works, it has sort of branch into the 2D realm. In sci-fi, it depicts love between male werewolves, which involves three categories. The alpha, beta and omega. From there, a hierarchy is formed based on the patriarchal system, except with the types of humans. There are then many types of arrangements for the omegaverse, and countless versions of it. Since the originator of this idea is unknown, there is no set canon universe. It's the freedom to do whatever you want with it that makes the omegaverse so enticing.

Features of Alpha, Beta and Omega:

Alpha - The rare charismatic leader type alphas are born with natural good looks and are highly intelligent. Classified as superior type, many alphas are leaders or organizations. They consists of 20% of human population.

Beta - The majority of the population of 80%, Betas are what one would call a "Normal". Human, in terms of physical features, marriage between betas are common, and there is a high chance their offspring will also be Beta.

Omega - A gender where it is also possible for males to become pregnant. While they are respected as individuals who are capable of giving birth to an Alpha. They are also viewed as inferior because they have a mating period. Most Omegas in society cannot obtain high ranked jobs. They only consists of 10% of human population which makes then rarer than Alphas.

Mating Period:

An Omega's mating period happens regularly and usually lasts about a week. During the mating period, Omega releases pheromones which will attract all Alphas and some of the Betas. These pheromones serves as aphrodisiac for Alphas' and Betas' to breed Omegas.

Pairs between Alpha and Omega

A relationship formed between an Alpha and an Omega which strengthen their relationship. During mating season, an Alpha will bite the nape of an Omega's neck to establish themselves. An Omega who has been paired with a particular Alpha will only be able to have intercourse with and release pheromones for that Alpha. If anybody else tries to mate with the paired Omega, the Omega will experience a strong negative reaction. However, an paired Alpha can still be affected by another Omega if its pheromones are too strong. They can also break the paired formed to their Omega and paired with someone else, while an Omega whose pair system was broken their lives will be in danger.

Soul-bonding or Fated Pairs

There are times when an Alpha and Omega's pheromones attract to each other more than other Alpha and Omega. For them, they feel it at first sight and will definitely fall in love with each other. It says that fated pairs is given by the Goddess of Moon, and no Omega nor Alpha could go against their Fated Pairs.
