4 Chapter 4 - The Deal

"Hey, Sleeepy head, wake up already I'm dying of bordom watching your unconscious body," "Ugh" Michio opens his eyes to find a man standing over him, startled he jumps up and rolls away then faces the man. Instantly he recognises the man who knocked him out, hastily he questions the man, "Who are you? Where am I? and where's my mum?" "Wow there ease up there bud it's not like i'm gonna hurt ya, but well it's not like you could react to my attack anyway." Michio realises that the man was right he did it once who's to say he couldn't do it again. Michio also find something strange, 'This is strange I've never met this man but I can feel some kind of connection, I can sense that his reiatsu signature is familiar,' Michio pulls in his fighting intent and calms down as being reckless could hinder him in gaining important information.

"You calmed down now, good. My name is Kisuke Urahara a soul reaper, a pretty good one too," 'What's a soul reaper?' Michio has never heard such a job before. "A normal average soul reaper's duty is to head out to the living, slay hollows and bring stray souls to the soul society before they turn into hollows. 'Hollows? Stray souls? Soul society? What is all this?,' Michio was getting more and more confused, he was only a 5 years old after all. Kisuke sensing his confusion explains, "A hollow is that monster that attacked you, a soul or a stray soul is like Mr.Gou in your house, the soul society is a place that could be considered the afterlife, its where all souls go eventually if they are brought there by soul reapers, some souls can sense reiatsu use it eventually if they hone this ability they can be taken into the inner parts of the soul society and be trained into a soul reaper." 'This is getting easier to understand,' "As for where we are, we are under my shop," "huh! But I can see they clear sky....wait a minute," Michio activates his eyes to improve his vision by several fold, he does not mind using his abilities as Kisuke mentioning Mr.Gou means he was watching him so he must of seen me training this ability.

He eventually sees minute markings in the sky above indicating that it clearly wasn't the real sky, it also wasn't windy and the air was stale also indicating that they were under ground. "And finally your mother is safe and healed back at your house resting, she also has no idea about this place or what I told you before," 'hmmmm, I need to know why he brought me here,' "Then why am I here?" "Even though hollows attack souls the reason is because they want the reiatsu they have and because you have a higher quality reiatsu they would obviously come after you, if I hadn't watched over you and protected people from the damage people could've gotten hurt." Michio had a lot to think about, he caused his mother to be in danger and probably many other innocent bystanders as well.

"But I can't control my power," "That is the reason I'm here, as you grow you will gain more reiatsu, your body will eventually overload because of the amount of high quality reiatsu in your body, even though your body can handle it, it can't control it very well because your body isn't strong enough to handle the infusion of the reiatsu into your cells. I will train you so you don't endanger other people with you reiatsu and also so you can protect those people," this excited Michio as if he could control his power and help people and slay monsters he would be just like the heroes in his stories, but how would he tell his mother or how would he do all this in secret.

"Don't worry too much, you won't be fighting any hollows for a while until I say you're ready, plus your mother will just think that you're doing swimming practice. You must come to my shop every day in the afternoon at 4pm and we will train till 6pm on your strength and control and also your fighting experience." Michio listened intently on the hellish training course that Kisuke had put up for him but he didn't even know it because he has never exercised before. "Now that I've told you what my training for you entails, your situation and who I am, what do ya say Michio? Deal?," Kisuke stretches out his arm for a hand shake, "Sure, Deal" Michio shakes his hand.

Kisuke had his own interests in mind when proposing this deal to Michio: To make sure he doesn't become a threat to people around him, to make him into a soul reaper to help people, to make sure that he was strong enough so other people are deterred from trying to execute Michio on sight as anyone who knows his true origins would either try to kill him or take his power. "Michio I need to test something," "Huh? ok," Michio stands in front of Kisuke, then suddenly in the blink of an eye Kisuke's cane hits Michio in the head and knocks him down, "Ouch, why did you do that?," 'Huh? It didn't work, hmmm, Michio must've used his old body, the Hogyoku, as a substitute soul for his body, but because of the natural properties of his old body, it broke the barrier between the soul and the human body and combined it together creating a new body which would explain his soul not separating from his body.' " Don't worry about it, I just had to confirm something I'll tell you in the future when you're ready."

Michio was annoyed now because of the pain he was feeling, "Kisuke how do I get out of here," "Oh, sorry the ladder is over there, here is a map to get home." Michio was handed a map, he then walked to and climbed up the ladder into Kisuke's relatively small shop he then looked at the map then headed in the direction of home, before he left he saw a small black cat staring at him, 'What a cute cat.
