3 Solving The Werewolf Leader

"Of course not; I'm just reminding you to remember to use the bowl! Don't forget, the boss hasn't come back yet. Do you want the boss to eat your leftovers later?

Have you forgotten the lesson from last time?"

As memories of the last time I was beaten up by the boss for eating food privately flooded my mind, the strong man couldn't help but tremble. He quickly picked up the wooden bowl handed over by the other party and obediently scooped the broth into the bowl. He snorted and drank.

"Today's broth seems to be more delicious!"

Cassatt looked a little strange, wearing a meaningful smile.

"Really? Then you should have more!"

With the third bowl of broth, the strong man had already collapsed on the ground, lifeless.

Looking at the strong man who was easily dealt with, Braun breathed a sigh of relief. Although he still wanted to kill the werewolf boss, he knew it was a challenging task. Relying on himself alone and the werewolf in front of Feila, the possibility of success was pitifully low.

"Let's go!"

Braun said it without the slightest hesitation. The most important thing right now was to survive; half of the revenge had been avenged. Just before he could move, he heard heavy footsteps coming from outside. Braun finally changed color at this moment.

Only these three werewolves knew about this place. The only one who could return now was the werewolf boss!

Huge remorse filled his mind, but he also knew that this was not the time to be upset. If he wanted to survive, he had to find a way!

"Throw this werewolf over the other side! Do your best to trick that werewolf into drinking the broth!"

Time was tight; this was the most effective plan for now. Refill the half-empty broth.

Cassatt was hospitable and ran towards the strong man outside with the broth. Braun hid in front of the dead, strong man, using his body as a shield. He stared coldly at the burly werewolf. It was he who had killed Braun's parents!

"Brother! Why did you come back so early today?"

Cassatt handed over the broth graciously, and Boss, who was indifferent, drank it in one gulp.

"Today's broth is indeed delicious! Third, your cooking skills are getting better and better!"

After a compliment, he walked into the cave.

"Brother, would you like me to serve another bowl?"

Cassatt was courteous on the surface but secretly anxious.

After the giant eight-eyed spider's venom had been diluted three times, there wasn't much left. He was unsure if it would have any effect after drinking it.

Boss waved his hand.

"No need! I'm going to see that guy in the dungeon! If I hadn't gone to Knockturn Alley, I wouldn't have known that the one we killed a few days ago was a wizard from a small, pure-blooded family! You know that no matter how small a pure-blood family is, they have countless galleons in Gringotts! We only need to use that kid to make a lot of money! After that, we'll go directly to another country by boat! There's no need to worry about Fenrir anymore."

With that said Boss became even more excited. With determined steps, he was about to walk towards the dungeon. He didn't even pay attention to the strong man in the corner, who had been lifeless for a long time.

Seeing that Boss had no intention of listening to Cassatt at all, Braun realized he couldn't wait any longer.

"Do it!"

A loud shout caught Boss off guard. Then he felt a sharp pain in his waist and eyes. Cassatt, standing behind him, had stabbed a sharp knife deep into his kidney. The severe pain, combined with the betrayal, made him lose his mind in an instant.

"How dare you betray me! Crucio!"

A wand appeared in his hand, and a red light shot toward Cassatt with little hesitation. Although Cassatt wasn't hit critically, the excruciating, soul-deep pain made him howl in agony. Looking at the green light from the other party's wand lighting up again, fear surged within me.

"Avada..."

Boss's incantation was not finished yet. He felt a cramping pain in his stomach. The severe pain distorted his movements, and the spell dissipated. His face turned pale, and he spat out a mouthful of congealed blood clots.

"That bowl of broth is poisonous! Well done, Cassatt!"

Boss's anger made his eyes turn red. Relying on the werewolf's strong resistance to magic toxins, he fought off the toxins in his body. He believed that it wouldn't take long, and by relying on his robust body, he would be able to overcome the troubles in his body. It wouldn't take too long; half an hour would suffice. By then, Cassatt's life would be worse than death.

Braun also naturally noticed the situation. Without the slightest hesitation, he walked out from behind the strong man.

"Oh, it's you!"

The boss stared intently at Braun. "I knew Cassatt betrayed me for a reason! You promised him great benefits."

Besides this reason, he couldn't think of any other explanation for Cassatt's betrayal.

Braun had no intention of engaging in conversation. Just by looking at the other person's demeanor, Braun could tell that the other person was stalling for time, trying to recover as soon as possible.

"Kill him! Damn it, you worthless trash!"

Braun drove Cassatt away indifferently, showing no sympathy for Cassatt being hit by the Cruciatus Curse. He never valued the lives of others. At this moment, he was just a tool in Braun's hands! Even if he died, Braun would not feel remorse.

"Yes! Master!"

He looked at Cassatt, who was trying to hide his painful expression and rushed towards him with a bone machete. The boss's expression became increasingly grim.

Charms require magic. And the magic power consumed by the three unforgivable curses was astonishing. At this moment, all the magic power in his body was fighting the toxins within it. He simply couldn't use the unforgivable curse again.

"Protego! Reducto!"

One small spell after another shot from his wand. Strangely, his spells seemed to avoid the opponent as if guided by some force; even when he tried to aim through the pain, he couldn't hit his target. As he saw Cassatt getting closer, he finally panicked.

"It's you!"

He inadvertently shifted his gaze to Braun, whose face was pale. Boss gritted his teeth.

No wonder I couldn't hit earlier; it was all this kid's fault.
