104 Chapter 104 - Geography

Rowena sat at the table with all council members present. They listened to the latest news, which had been pouring in relentlessly for hours.

"....thanks to timely precautionary measures, there are no casualties among citizens in the areas fully under the council's control. One rescuer is injured..."

"Why? Is the equipment not good enough? Insufficient protective gear for the emergency response team?"

"Um, no, Lady Ravenclaw... Due to the earthquake, a small abandoned village house collapsed, and..."

"And?"

"Uh, a member of the rescue team used "Reparo" magic on the damaged wall... and got hit on the head by a brick since he didn't step back in time..."

"..."

The entire hall fell silent. Grindewalt contained his laughter, and others smiled, but Rovena frowned. She had recently taken control of training new divisions of mages, and this man seemed to be under her jurisdiction.

She cleared her throat to hide her embarrassment and said, "When he's discharged from the hospital, inform him that he's deprived of a month's salary and send him for a retraining cycle on emergency response."

"Understood."

The man took the documents and left the hall. As soon as he exited, a new person entered.

"Charlie Bonertham with a report."

"Welcome, Mr. Bonertham. What brings you here today?"

"Lady Ravenclaw, I have preliminary data on geography changes due to the Sphere Convergence."

Sphere Convergence, explained to the public as the emergence of new territories and powerful earthquakes worldwide.

"Proceed."

"At the moment, the report is only gathered from the territories closest to us. Beyond former Germany, there is no data."

"Alright, what changes has the world undergone?"

"Firstly, we know that near Europe, two more..."

His words were interrupted by a loud roar.

"ROAR!"

So loud that people outside the building had to cover their ears. Rovena and the others heard a familiar voice and decided to look. They all stood up and headed to the windows. Peering out, they saw a shadow so massive that it covered entire streets of the city.

Opening the window, Rowena stepped outside, or rather, onto the ground floor. What's the difference between a door and a window anyway? Once outside, she gazed up at the sky and spotted a dragon descending slowly. Rovena could tell from the voice that it was Athena, but she looked quite different from her past appearance.

With the sounds of wing flaps, Athena landed near the hotel. Fortunately, there was a landing platform near the hotel, though it was a bit tight for Athena with her current size. Descending gracefully from the massive creature, Asmodeus approached Rowena.

"Did I miss much? I needed to change my clothes."

"No, we just reached the main part."

"Good. Shall we go?"

"Let's."

Asmodeus took Rowena's hand, and they walked towards the hotel. However, he stopped abruptly.

"Athena, go somewhere for a walk."

"ROAR!"

Athena nodded, and with a flap of her four wings, she instantly disappeared into the clouds. Observing the admiring and shocked looks of passersby at Asmodeus, Rowena whispered, "You seem to enjoy being in the spotlight... By the way, what's up with Athena? Why is she so enormous?"

"Of course, such a handsome fellow should be in the spotlight wherever he goes. As for Athena... Well, she's grown a bit."

"..."

Rovena thought, 'A bit? Is a length of at least 70 meters a bit? How much does she have to grow for you to call it "grew a lot," a kilometer-long dragon?'

Lost in her thoughts, Rowena and Asmodeus returned to the meeting hall.

"How's Athena?" Nicholas asked first.

"She's fine, feeling better than ever, as she said."

"Haha, that's good. We were worried when you left so abruptly," Dumbledore remarked.

"Okay, let's discuss my pet changes later. Rowena told me you've started the most crucial part of the meeting. Geography, right? So, what do we know now?"

Asmodeus gestured for the speaker to continue.

"Mr. Morningstar, we found that two new continents have appeared near Europe. Regarding more distant territories, information is still being gathered."

"Alright, how are the continents positioned? Are we somehow connected to them? Or are they separated from us by seas or oceans?"

"We can't be sure yet. Here's a map drawn by cartographers just before my visit. As you can see, due to lack of time, we haven't been able to explore the borders and sizes of these territories. One continent emerged above England, its nearest point just 180 kilometers from us. The continent has an elongated shape, stretching upwards. We're not certain of its exact size, but it seems to extend towards the North Pole. Additionally, Iceland has shifted several hundred kilometers to the west. It's not the only land that seems to have shifted. The nearest France also moved 50 kilometers southeast. It feels like the world has expanded, not just with the addition of continents, but Earth itself has become a larger planet. Fortunately, we haven't noticed an increase in gravity yet."

"You mentioned two continents."

"Yes, Mr. Morningstar. The second discovered continent is positioned diagonally. It begins 400 kilometers from Portugal and diagonally cuts through the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean. Regarding this continent, we have more information. It ends approximately 200 kilometers off the Brazilian coast. However, we can't determine its size precisely because the entire world has become larger. The oceans have also expanded, and we don't know how long the new continent will ultimately be."

"How did you survey the shores of the new continents? Has anyone ventured further inland?"

"Sir, two squads of Aurors equipped with Firebolt brooms conducted a survey. They didn't go further because the local authorities decided to request your permission before proceeding with the exploration. For the same reason, none of our people have landed on the continents yet."

"Hmm..."

Asmodeus pondered, looking at the peculiar new map. It looked like a child's drawing, as if someone had taken the initial world map, tore it in two places (the Norwegian Sea and the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean), and then drew lines on the edges of the holes. These were just lines, not forming a complete figure. A part of the continent was drawn near Brazil, and a similar part near Spain, but between them was a void that remained unfilled.

The same goes for the continent north of England. A piece is drawn, and beyond that, an unknown void.

What caught Asmodeus's attention is how the beginning of the continent is depicted by the cartographers.

To Asmodeus, this relief seemed familiar.

He tapped his fingers on the table, paused, and asked, "These dots on the map, are they cities?"

'Yes, sir.'

'Hmm...'

Asmodeus couldn't shake the feeling that he had seen a very similar map before.

He set the map aside and said, "I suggest sending an Archmage to each continent. If information about the other continents becomes available, an Archmage will also be sent there. What do you think about that?"

In response to Asmodeus's proposal, Dumbledore asked, "If you're suggesting, does it mean you already have a candidate?"

"Yes. Grindewald and Albus, according to my plan, you will go to explore the one north of England. But it's preferable not to delve into the continent immediately. First, find its borders and start the exploration from the north moving south. The two of you will go there. I have a feeling that strong force might be needed there.

As for the second continent near Portugal... I will go there personally on Athena.

The rest stay in the controlled territories for emergency response.

Rovena is in charge of the academy. The other two from the quartet defend Hogwarts.

Nicholas and Enty, I ask you to prepare a defense line on the territories close to the new continents.

What do you think about this?"

The people pondered.

Only Rowena asked discontentedly.

"Are you implying that I need protection? Why should I just sit in the academy? I am, after all, the strongest in the quartet... I want to explore too."

"Rovena, precisely because you are the strongest after me, I hope that you can handle potential issues correctly."

"What possible issues are you talking about?"

"Primis said that a pseudo-god was born in that world. Although I don't know what it means, I do know that it must be no weaker than me."

"..."

"Well, don't worry; Primis said that Odin can imprison this pseudo-god in a second."

The wizards pursed their lips. Of course, Odin can defeat a pseudo-god, but can we?

"Don't worry, I'll talk to him about it before departure."

"Maybe in that case, it's better to bring Odin with you?"

"No, we can't rely on foreign aid forever. If the situation becomes deadlock, I'll turn to him. If I can solve it myself, why bother an old man over seven thousand years old?"

"..."

"Alright, I agree."

"So be it."

"Okay, bring some souvenirs."

"Alright..."

One by one, council members agreed to Asmodeus's plan.

"When are you leaving?"

"In an hour, I'll talk to Odin and the Ancient One. Then I set off immediately."

"Alright, and you, old folks?"

Grindewald initially wanted to say that Rovena is actually older than him, but seeing a dangerous glint in her eyes, he fell silent.

"Um, I think we can start moving already."

"Good, that's all for today."

People began to disperse and get to their tasks. Asmodeus headed back to the academy.

Returning to the academy, Asmodeus went to his tower, which currently served as the residence for the Asgardians.

"Knock, knock."

"Enter, my blood brother."

"Hello, Odin."

"Haha, Asmodeus, do you want a drink? I'm tired of teaching Loki for the past week."

"Sorry, I came here for business today."

Seeing that Asmodeus was serious, Odin also stopped playing.

"Is something wrong with the merging of worlds? Do you need my help?"

"And yes and no. The world was absorbed by Primis without any issues. The problem lies with the inhabitants of the world."

"What do you mean?"

"She said that there is a pseudo-god in this world, someone who learned the basic use of the power of faith."

"So? Someone like a Zeus wannabe idiot? How do we explain to these fools that the path to becoming a real god has nothing to do with accumulating faith... Well then, what brought you to me? Do you want me to deal with him?"

"No, at least not now. I don't want my people to rely too much on you. Cover them in case of danger, but don't act without necessity. Of course, if this pseudo-god misbehaves, you can crush his head."

"Haha, alright. You didn't have to come to me so formally for such a trifle; you could have just called. You know, I like these beetle phones of yours."

"I came because you're my friend, first of all, and secondly, I came for Athena. We're setting out to explore new territories."

"Today?"

"Now."

"Good luck. You don't need to worry about what's happening here. Even if Hela breaks out of the seal, I can beat her to near death without breaking a sweat!"

"Thank you."
