102 Chapter 102 - On the Other Side

A month later, somewhere on a continent named Essos, Daenerys stood amidst flames, watching as the khals who had just boasted about violating her were consumed by the fire. Cries for help and the wails of pain filled the tent.

Emerging from the flames as if untouched, Daenerys presented herself to all as the true ruler of the Dothraki. As the people gathered to worship in this solemn moment, the earth trembled.

"Boom, boom."

The world shook twice, and a powerful quake brought everyone to the ground. Daenerys, though barely standing, distinguished herself among the onlookers, elevated even further above the rest.

As the Dothraki people, in this moment of reverence, fervently prayed to their equine god with bowed heads, only Daenerys understood that this upheaval was not of her making.

The Dothraki Sea – a prairie where earthquakes were unheard of. Although Daenerys was unfamiliar with earthquakes, what she didn't know was that the Dothraki Sea suffered the least. Due to its geographic location, deep within the continent and far from the ocean, the tremors were less pronounced than in the rest of the world.

While the Dothraki praised their new queen, catastrophic events unfolded in cities and states across the globe. Buildings crumbled from unprecedented phenomena, waves over 25 meters high submerged ports, carrying most ships and sailors who hadn't yet retired to sleep.

The situation was even worse in Westeros, with a larger population and taller structures. In King's Landing, Cersei, almost in hysterics, witnessed one of the southern towers of the castle collapsing into the sea. Throughout the city, buildings collapsed, and fires erupted from lamps knocked down during the shaking.

In the North, at the Black Castle, an alarm was sounded as Jon Snow thought that the White Walkers had finally attacked.

Further to the north, the Night King, seated on his horse, gazed at the sky. While his face revealed no traces of emotion, his eyes betrayed doubt, as if he couldn't comprehend why the stars in the sky had changed. In a forest, a three-eyed raven attempted to make sense of the ongoing events, frequently inhabiting various ravens worldwide.

Meanwhile, at the academy, scholars used every method to extinguish the fire in the library.

Earthquakes emerged even in the original magical world. But to prepared wizards, such a quake didn't seem too serious. At that time, Asmodeus stood near the window in the central tower of the mages.

He noticed the buildings trembling slightly, but due to the protections and fortifications from the wizards, not a single structure was harmed. Despite this, observing the intensity, he discontentedly remarked, "Hmm, some world consciousness. You promised that the merger would be smooth! If it weren't for the preparation, a third of the world's buildings would have crumbled!"

While he complained, he felt a familiar suction. "Huh? Again?" Before he could accept or refuse, he found himself once again in the dark space. Familiar with the situation, Asmodeus turned around and saw the familiar ball of light, noticeably enlarged.

"Well, hello. What's going on? Why did you summon me again?"

"Problem with the second part."

"What do you mean? Can't you devour the second world?"

"I can... it's just... I don't know how this world will affect you, Verumis."

"Alright, alright. Explain. What's the issue with the second world?"

"My part has been in a state of spatial damage for too long. It's permeated with passages to different dimensions, worlds, subspaces. Moreover, due to these tunnels, external beings have entered the world."

"So, what's the problem? Is the local population too powerful? Do we need to wipe them out?"

"No, the issue isn't the inhabitants, as I mentioned, the space there is riddled with holes. Once I start consuming it, a certain part of these spatial rifts will transfer with it. Although I can close the rifts for a certain period, I can't track which worlds they originally lead to... And closing these passages will take at least a couple of years."

"Well, if you're so indecisive, you must have a solution that you consider the best."

"Yes, until you completely conquer the territories of the first world, I will keep holding the second world and prevent it from escaping. In any case, I've already consumed the consciousness of both worlds."

"What can you tell me about the world that has merged with ours?"

"They were the most barren lands in the original world, magically speaking... As for potential threats, as amusing as it may sound, this little world managed to birth a god."

"!!!?"

"Don't look at me like that. Your friend Odin could wipe the floor with this pseudo-god. What's there is not a real god, just a pseudo-god, in fact, a mage who learned to harness a certain aspect of the power of faith. I sensed his existence during the consumption process. But I'm not sure he's the only one there."

"Alright, is there anything else?"

"Yes, about the merged world. I scattered four continents around the globe. The largest one is now beneath Europe but over Africa. Don't worry; the sea separates you. So, there will be enough time for exploration."

"Okay."

Asmodeus once again felt himself being thrown out of the dark space.
