"The game is over." Kyle looked at the changes on the pitch, muttering to himself.
He could probably guess what was happening.
Maybe they were influenced by the commentator, or because Snape was also watching the game. For the first twenty minutes, the Slytherin team had indeed been holding their breath, trying to create a miracle.
So, they played with all their might.
But when they realized that even with all their efforts, they still couldn't surpass Hufflepuff's score, their breath left them.
Simply put, they had tried... and it was useless... they were giving up.
Besides, in their opinion, it was a pity that their house couldn't win the championship, but they didn't want to see Gryffindor win either.
Since they couldn't surpass Hufflepuff by three hundred points, they might as well make things difficult for Gryffindor and give Hufflepuff a few more points.
In the final, every point they gave away today could be the spear that shattered Gryffindor's dream of winning.
That was enough.
Slytherin started to play badly on purpose, but they weren't stupid. They couldn't openly act in front of everyone. They only made a few small mistakes at crucial moments.
So, most of the students didn't notice anything wrong. They thought Slytherin was just unlucky or their stamina was low, and their reaction times were slow.
But not everyone was fooled.
On the Gryffindor stand, Charlie angrily punched the stone steps in front of him, "Damn Rosier, I thought they had changed!"
"This is cheating!" Fred and George were also furious. They shouted, "They're throwing the game! They should be disqualified!"
Although Fred and George were shouting their lungs out, their voices were barely a ripple compared to the deafening cheers around them.
Nobody else could hear them, except for the few people standing nearby.
After realizing that their shouting had no effect, Fred and George exchanged a look and walked towards the commentator's booth.
It was impossible to cancel the match. They just wanted to expose Slytherin's despicable match-fixing behavior to everyone through the commentator.
But as soon as they approached the commentator's booth, someone stopped them.
"Weasley, what are you doing here?"
Professor McGonagall looked at them seriously, "This isn't where you're supposed to be. Go back and watch the match."
"But Professor McGonagall…" Fred shouted loudly, "Slytherin is throwing the game! They're losing points on purpose!"
George also shouted, "They're doing this so that Gryffindor doesn't win the Quidditch Cup! Aren't you going to do anything?"
Professor McGonagall was silent for a moment, "That's just your speculation, Mr. Weasley. There's no evidence that they're losing points on purpose."
"But…"
Fred was about to say something, but Professor McGonagall interrupted him.
"Go back and watch the match." She said with a stern face, "During a Quidditch match, nobody is allowed to touch the microphone except for the commentator. That's the rule."
"But…"
"Forget it, Fred." George pulled on Fred's robe and shook his head slightly, "Sorry, Professor McGonagall, we'll go back now."
Professor McGonagall didn't speak. She just nodded slightly.
Before leaving, the two of them turned to the commentator, with their last bit of hope.
They had been very loud just now. He must have heard them. If he could help…
Fred and George stood there for a minute. But the commentator just kept passionately commentating on the game. He didn't stop.
They gave up completely and returned to their seats in silence.
They understood. A commentator, naturally, knew Quidditch very well. How could he not see such obvious match-fixing? They didn't need to remind him.
He had chosen silence, just like Professor McGonagall.
When they got back to the Gryffindor stand, Lee Jordan quickly came over, "How did it go?"
Fred and George both shook their heads.
"Despicable Slytherin. Cowardly and incompetent commentator. How could they do this?"
Lee Jordan was furious, "I was going to try for the Seeker position next year. But I've changed my mind. I'm going to be the commentator."
"Go for it!"
"We support you!"
Fred and George put their hands on Lee Jordan's shoulders. "We need our own voice!"
On the pitch, the Hufflepuff players also noticed something strange about Slytherin.
Harris glanced at the other team's goal. Hesitation flickered in his eyes.
A moment later, he suddenly took a deep breath. His eyes became determined.
Then, led by Harris, the Hufflepuff team also slowed down. They stopped trying to attack and shrank their formation. They were playing defensively.
"These idiots!"
Rosier gritted his teeth and threw the Quaffle towards the Hufflepuff goalposts.
With a crisp sound, the Quaffle hit the rim and bounced off.
Harris caught the ball and leisurely flew to the other side of the pitch. He also hit the ball against the Slytherin rim.
"It's a pity. It seems Hufflepuff is making mistakes too after playing for such a long time."
The commentator said in a light tone, "Now it's a contest between the Seekers. Whoever catches the Snitch first will win the match."
Kyle was no longer interested in the rest of the match.
He silently walked to the back of the stands and took out a piece of parchment from his robe pocket.
The Marauder's Map. He had specifically borrowed it from Fred and George before the match started.
Kyle took out his wand and lightly tapped the parchment.
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
Unlike Fred and George, who only knew half the password, Kyle had the complete one.
Actually, Fred and George had already found seven words. With their IQ, if they had wanted to, they could have guessed the whole password a long time ago.
But they didn't. And when Kyle tried to tell them, using an excuse, they refused.
They were very adamant about this. They wanted to find all the clues, not guess.
But Kyle didn't care.
As the ink lines spread, the real Marauder's Map unfolded before him.
Kyle first jotted down the locations of some of the secret passages. For example, the one that led to the eighth floor, and the one that led to Honeydukes' cellar. He would need them later.
After writing down the locations, Kyle turned his attention to the Hufflepuff common room.
