CHAPTER 3

"Okay let us enter then, they have been waiting for us for a few minutes already." Miss granger extended her hand for Harrison, they hold hands and she dragged him into the most fearful of the ships it was the "HMS Prince", she didn't say why, but after seeing many people near it and waving to the many cabins onboard, where presumably their children were, he more or less understood the reason. Although this made him question the purpose of having a second ship.

They crossed the thin bridge made out of black wood, and then entered the interior of the ship through the stairs next to the main mast of the ship. Harrison didn't have much time to look at it, but he was quite sure he saw a phantasmagoric individual that seemed to glow in a pale blue light holding the ship's wheel.

They walked down two sets of stair and stopped at what seemed to be the middle section of the ship, to the north and south there were many cabins.

"Harrison, those cabins are where the students are currently staying, you can go and choose one to spend the night, it will take some hours until we arrive so you can use this time to study the materials that someone will deliver to you, or to sleep." She then took out a pencil and gave it to him.

"What is this for?" He asked as he observed the pencil, it was made out of white wood and there was something written on it with weird words that he couldn't recognize.

"If something dangerous happens, break this pencil and I will get to you as soon as I can, but remember, only use it if it's an emergency, it is not easy to make one of those."

Seeing that he nodded, she smiled and left, leaving Harrison to look for a cabin to spend the night.

However, every single one of them seemed to have four people already, which was apparently the limit. It took him five minutes to find one cabin that no one was using, which was unfortunate since he hoped to use the company of someone to clear some of his doubts.

The cabin was relatively big, there was a window you could use to look outside, four beds, two on each side of the cabin with a ladder in case you wanted to use the one next to the ceiling, and a little table in the middle of the cabin.

Shaking his head in helplessness he sat down at the bed on the left and lay his head on the comfortable pillow which was already there waiting for him.

Soon someone knocked on the door, it was a being similar to an elf, but for some reason, it was really short, probably less than a meter tall, and it had a grumpy face.

"Are you Mr. Harrison Forgrave?"

"Uh, yes..." Harrison stood up and looked at him with awareness in his eyes.

Noticing this the elf grumped and snapped his fingers making a briefcase appear out of nowhere and fall on the table.

"Your materials are all here." He snapped his fingers once again and before Harrison could thank him the elf had already disappeared.

Blinking his eyes, he could only mutter a "what the fuck just happened?" before turning his eyes to the briefcase. Gulping he took it to his bed and after looking at it for a moment, he opened the lock and took a look inside.

To begin with, the inside was bigger than the outside, there were 3 compartments, the one on the right only had a beautiful black and gold box with the words "Ollivanders" and a note on top of it, the biggest compartment had three sets of robes that reminded him of... well, wizards.

As for the last one on the underside of the box, there were several books.

He took the note and read it.

"Mr. Harrison, it is a pity we could not meet each other and decide physically if this wand was truly the most suited for you, but don't worry too much, our divination usually is right 95% of the time, if any problems happen, please contact the prefect of your future house and ask him to come here for you, and will solve the problems as soon as possible.

The same applies to a case in which your wand gets damaged or destroyed, in those cases, you can still tell the prefect of your house and we will solve this issue.

Fourteen inches, Elder wood, and dragon heartstring, this wand, Mr. Harrison, is one meant for a person who is bound to become the greatest wizard of his generation, as the elder wood scorns to remain with any owner who his not the superior of his or her company. This coupled with the core, dragon heartstring, and its size means that only a remarkable wizard would ever be able to keep it for any length of time.

I hope it becomes a good companion for you.

Best regards

Edward Ollivander

Wand Maker and Owner of Ollivander's wand shop"

He put the note down and took the box, as he opened it what he found was an elegant wand, its surface reminded him of polished wood, and it had deep brown color when he took it in his hand he felt a warm feeling coursing through his body and couldn't help but smile, it felt like he had just met a good old friend.

He stored the wand and decided to wear his wizard robe and study a little, however, just as the ship had started moving and he had finished reading the tenth page of the book on his hands (History of the magic by Bathilda Bagshot), someone knocked on the door and opened it soon after, at the door, there was a white-haired boy, he looked inside and after noticing Harrison, he smiled.

"Hey, can we stay here? The other cabins are full already."

Harrison coughed, he wasn't used to such friendly interaction.

"Ahn, yeah, go on."

"Thanks." He entered and sat down at the bed on the right. Behind came two other people a boy Chinese boy with shaved hair and a white-haired girl.

The boy with shaved hair bowed to Harrison and said. "It is nice to meet you, benefactor, I'm Du Lingtian."

Harrison nodded at him and tried to keep a smile on his face, but he was clearly uncomfortable.

The other two talked for a moment and then the boy turned to him and said.

"It is nice to meet you, friend, I'm Hunter Brooks, and my twin sister here is Anika Brooks."

Harrison shook his hand and replied. "Nice to meet you all. Are you all, you know, born from wizard families?"

Hunter smiled and answered. "Well, I don't know about our Buddhist friend there, but my sister and I are, we came here from Canada."

The girl nodded but didn't reply, it seemed she was too shy to speak.

"I'm not." Du Lingtian replied. "But I don't think it makes any difference after all I was educated with those matters ever since I was a kid."

Hearing his words he turned to Du Lingtian and blinked his eyes, what does that mean exactly then? "If what you said is true, then you were a muggle, like me?"

"Well, yes, you could say so, but why are you asking this?"

The twins and Du Lingtian looked at Harrison with interest, they wanted to understand why he was asking those questions, they didn't felt anything at the beginning but it sure felt weird for someone to ask those things.

"I... discovered I'm a wizard basically a week ago."

"What?" The trio asked him with wide eyes.

"How is that possible? Could it be that you're so weak that the book of admittance didn't allow the quill to write your name until the last moment?" Hunter asked himself with a curious gaze.

"Maybe that is not the case, I mean, the book only waits for enough evidence of magical abilities being displayed, so maybe he only displayed his magic recently." Lingtian refuted his words using his knowledge.

They discussed the matter for some time, making it so that Harrison couldn't ask other questions, having no other choice he went back to his reading. Even without having his questions answered he was still happy somehow for just being able to read a real book, something that he thought only the rich could do.

He was truly immersed in it, the knowledge was fresh and easily absorbed, he was like a sponge in the water. Minutes became hours and before he noticed, of the eight books he received, he finished reading two of them and could vividly remember all of the content in them. Harrison smiled with this, he never studied before and he never had to test his memory, so as far as he knew this thing was just another magic imbued in the books, maybe something to help them study more easily.

He stood up and stored his book in the briefcase, looking around, he discovered that the others were already sleeping, the twins were sleeping together in the same bed while Du Lingtian was sleeping at the bed above him.

Through the window came the light of the sun, and they're just some distance away, on the horizon where a mountain stood, there was a castle that seemed to have come out of a fairy tale, it seemed to be made only out of rocks, and it transmitted a feeling of grandeur.

And right at that moment, the ringing of a bell reached their ears together with the shout of a ghostly voice.

"Stand up ye little brats! Ye journey has come to an end, obey your cap'n and get up here on me deck!"

After hearing that voice, everyone stood up, some a little bit more groggy than the others.

"Who was that?" Harrison asked with confusion in his eyes.

Hunter came to his side and said in a jokingly manner. "Ahoy me friend, that was cap'n one-eyed Jack. But seriously, he is a moody asshole sometimes, you better not defy him, or you'll get in trouble."

He patted his should and left the cabin together with his sister, Harrison nodded and after taking his briefcase he and Du Lingtian followed them from behind.

When they arrived at the deck some staff of Hogwarts was already taking the students' belongings, Harrison had to take his wand from the briefcase and give it to one of the staff composed mostly, but not entirely of elves like the one he met before.

Miss granger then appeared out of nowhere together with a two meters tall man with a cowboy hat covering most of his face and wearing a heavy leather jacket with a short sword strapped to his back. He whistled attracting everyone's attention to him.

"Good Morning everyone, I'm Archibald Black, Hogwarts groundskeeper, I'll be the one guiding you to the entrance of the school, I want everyone to be careful and never leave the group, this place isn't as safe as it looks, I assure you that, whoever disobeys will be punished! Am I clear?" He shouted, and after seeing that the kids all nodded, he smiled and said. "Then, let's go, I'm hungry from all this waiting."

He turned to his back and went down the wooden bridge, the students lined up and followed him closely, Harrison was more or less in the middle of the line, and when he got to the bridge, miss Granger left the ship together with him, and the group followed through the slippery and rocky path between the woods that led from Hogwart's port to the entrance.

On the way Harrison kept looking at a girl, in front who was showing off to her friends, she was slightly taller than him by a few centimeters, she had really short blond hair and her eyes had two different colors, violet, and pink. But he wasn't looking at her because of her appearance rather, it was because he was showing her colleagues how to cast the light spell.

"...See? You wave like this and then..." without a sound, a ball of light appeared on top of her wand.

Hunter who was right beside him noticed that and stared in surprise. "Wow, did you saw that, damn there is already someone so talented? I hope we end up in the same house, it would make things easier."

"What do you mean?" Harrison muttered, trying not to draw attention. "Why do you say that?"

"Well, because there aren't many people who already know how to use spells before entering Hogwarts, they are rare and talented people or one of those guys who comes from pureblood families that do not respect the law."

"Why?"

"You can't use magic outside of school if you are an underage wizard."

Hearing this Harrison nodded, if that was the case then she was indeed a talented wizard. But another question came to his mind, just as he was about to ask what did he mean by house, Archibald stopped the group and said.

"We've arrived!"
