1 The Old Abandoned Village

This is a very short story and this was a long long time ago in the old hmong days. There were 3 guys and their name was Meng, Cha, and Long. One day Cha and Long decided to go out into another further village to seek for a relationship. They were about to go but then realized that their other friend Meng never have a girlfriend either so they both decided to ask him to go along. The way going to the other village will have to go through the forest then pass by an old Abandoned village which you will have to cross over a bridge and another forest to reach it. It will take like 1 to 2 days to get there. Cha, Long, and Meng will go to the further village to find beautiful girls to talked with and see if they will have a great connections together. As time goes by they all found 3 beautiful girls that was willing to become their girlfriends. One day Meng went to Cha to see if he will go with Meng to see his girl because he deeply miss her so much. When Meng got to Cha's place to asked him to go with Meng, Cha said "sorry Meng I can't go my mother is sick maybe you can try to go ask Long?". Meng just said "alright I'll go and asked Long". Then Meng went to Long and asked him to go with Meng but then Long said "sorry Meng I have to go help out my cousins them with the religious practice (jingle bell) so maybe next time?". Meng felt like he can't wait any longer so he said "it's okay Long", and then left to his girlfriend's village alone. When he finally got there his girlfriend was waiting for him and they both talked all about how much they missed each others. Then when it was getting late he told her that he had to leave because he doesn't have any relatives in her village to stay over the night with. Then he left to go back home when he came across the Abandoned village there is a bridge where he will have to cross over to get to the other side of the forest. As he went on the bridge and pass it to the other side he then saw a shadow swinging from side to side. He then saw a little hole on the wooden tree and decided to peek in to see what was that shadow? When he peeked in to look at it. He then saw a girl wearing the traditional outfits hang down from the bridge smiling straight at him. Then Meng got so scared and took off running home. The next day when his parents woke up they notice that their son Meng looked so pale and skin was cold as ice. They both decided to call over a shaman to come take a looked to see what happened to Meng? The shaman told them that well this isn't a good news but there is still a way to save him before it's too late. All we have to do is just do a religious practice (jingle bell) to change his name into a new name then he will be fine. But...if you call him by his old name again then that evil spirit will find him and take him. So they did everything and this kept their son alive.
