4 Zealean City

"How was it, brother?" Following Leo, walking around the cobblestone road of the city, Luis asked.

The two of them have just entered Zealean, and they still have no particular destination yet. Bernard gave Leo directions to where he can find an inn, but as of now, he has no plan to follow it; he has much to think about.

"Have you noticed it too?" Leo uttered, "We're not being set up by the enemy or the association. I don't know how we got here, but we're definitely not in our world anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"Everything we've seen so far is not normal."

"That's not enough evidence to say we're not in the same world."

"I asked Bernard the year, and he was not lying when he gave me his answer. It wasn't the date I was familiar with."

"I heard it too... something about a different calendar I don't know about. You're right, it's not normal."

"And what do you think about this city?" Saying so, Leo stops in his tracks to observe Zealean with Luis.

Definitely, it was unlike any city they operated before. Leo has seen the same places before, but at the current date, they all have been modernized. This medieval-era-like city will not be found on any map in the world. The only conclusion Leo can think of is that he was not in the same world anymore. But obviously, he was skeptical about the thought. Luis was the same.

"Unbelievable..."

"Yes, truly unbelievable." They both utter the word as they both marvel at the crowded view.

"Come on, I'm hungry. Let's get something to eat first. We'll figure things out later." Still visibly exhausted, Leo said.

After a few minutes of walking, Leo and Luis arrived at what seems to be the city square. Food stalls exist surrounding them, and in the middle, placed was an enormous fighting ring, where a particular spectacle is shown. While Luis brought food, Leo watches two people duel, using techniques and weapons he was unfamiliar with using himself.

"Amateurs." Leo yawns; bored at the spectacle.

"Here, brother," Luis said, handing him skewers.

After coming back, Luis also watches the show. "Amateurs," He remarks.

"It's not even worth comparing ourselves to these people," Leo added.

"They are still a tad better than the ones we killed."

"That doesn't deny the fact they're weak." Leo denounces as he gobbles on his food.

"How about I try one out, brother? I won't use weapons," Luis said with excitement in his eyes.

"Are you positive no one will recognize us? How about anyone following us?"

"I'd know if there was." An instant reply from Luis, trying to convince Leo.

"Well, we still don't want to raise suspicions. I've gambled enough with Bernard. We didn't know if he was an enemy or not yet we still told him what we did. We're just lucky they don't know about us and he didn't become hostile."

"You said earlier we're not in our world anymore, and I believe that. If that was the case, we won't be hunted down by anyone anymore unless we do a crime. What we did to those bandits was clearly not."

"You really are a brat," Leo sneers, throwing the stick of the skewer to the ground and stomping it as he does. "Do what you want," he said after.

Like a child who was given an opportunity to play, Luis excitedly went to the ring, presenting himself to the winner who was looking for another opponent.

"My name is Luis Chigurh," Inside the ring, Luis introduces himself to the enemy.

At the sight of a fragile-looking teenager who appears to have no experience in a duel, the fighter laughs. "A kid? My opponent?" He mockingly said.

The fighter that is standing on the other side of the ring was a man. He wore different clothes from the ones Luis and Leo have seen the bandits and the guards wore. He was wearing brass armor, everything above the waist was steel; below were mere leather. His weapons were two short swords, and a knife hiding behind his legs. The way he acts is what to be expected, he does not have his guard up since he doesn't recognize Luis as an enemy.

"Look, kid... I don't want to hurt you. I'll give you this chance to run away and I'll look for another opponent."

"You're looking for an opponent, so I stepped onto the ring. We will duel, isn't that how it's supposed to turn out?"

"No, what I'm saying is that you're just a kid." He confusedly replied.

"No, no, no, we'll do this." Luis persistently said, with no sign of backing out.

"Are we really going to do this? I might kill you?"

"That's fine." Luis casually replied.

"And where's your weapon? You can't fight without a weapon."

"I don't have one."

"Do you have a death wish, kid?" The fighter laughs, causing the audience to follow up.

"Oh, come now, bastard, you're just afraid to fight a kid. You have no balls!" Suddenly, a loud voice came out of the audience, silencing everyone. It was Leo.

"What did you say?"

"I said you have no balls!" Leo repeated, this time, with the intention to piss him more off. "I'm tired of waiting, just get on with it!" He shouted.

"Are you related to that guy?" Pointing a finger at Leo, the fighter asked Luis.

"He's my brother."

"Your brother?" He said, laughing once again. "Well, let me apologize beforehand... I'll make him watch his brother get sliced up."

"Oh, he'll be happy to hear you say that."
