26 Humility

The commander did not know this new guy, but he was sure that Chaos was not a member of the clan.

Chaos lacked the laziness that belonged to the clan mates. When the clan mates stood, they had their bodies bent. This was obvious show of how lazy they were.

But Chaos stood straight and his eyes were emitting strong desire to prove his strength. This was typical example of a battle fiend. Someone who loved battle.

"Who are you?" He asked, as arrogant as ever.

Before Chaos could answer, Rice who was beside him stepped forth and bowed, "His name is Chaos Kid, my lord. He is a new slave."

The commander did not pursue the matter seeing Rice step up for Chaos. Rice had a special status that was not known to anyone else other than him in the slaves.

He was a one in a billion talent for the Vampire Cultivators, but due to his hotblooded nature, he rushed into the battle without the elder's permission.

The elders of the Vampire lands came to the clan and pleaded the Clan Master to let Rice leave based on her relationship between their first primal body.

But the Clan Master was firm and did not let them take Rice away. The elders have warned him to take good care of Rice, while they stayed in the clan.

So he forgot this incident as Rice stepped up for Chaos.

"How long till the end of the year?" He asked the guy behind him.

"Two more months Commander." A Vampire Emperor answered.

"Ah! Two more months until we get to see the clan master." The commander sighed sadly and directly walked into his prepared quarters.

Rice pulled Chaos to the side and scolded him, "they might not be stronger than you. But they are my seniors and that means they are your seniors. You must give them some respect." He said.

Chaos was shocked that Rice could figure out that he was stronger than the seniors. But he was only shocked for a moment, after all there were many things that he did not know in this world.

He also realized that he acted arrogant before and nodded his head. Rice's words touched his heart, and he made a decision to never act arrogant just because he was stronger than them.

Rice noticed his change and nodded. It's good that it was easy to reason with some people.

In the two days he stayed with the slaves, little Chaos worked to construct the palace to their master. He worked beside Rice and enjoyed the rare free time.

These two days passed in a blink and it time for little Chaos to go back and cultivate. He was reluctant but he still chose to leave.

In cultivation, more than aptitude, one's willpower was more important. If he chose to stay because he felt reluctant, then his will power would weaken in the future.

When he was about leave, the commander of the Vampire forces got on his knees and kowtowed to him.

"I did not know senior was a disciple of the first princess. Please accept my apology to my previous rudeness to senior." Apparently someone had told the Commander, about what happened after they gone out to suppress the rebels.

They still believed that their master to be the First Princess, and when the commander heard that Chaos was being taught the way of cultivation by the First Princess, he was immediately scared and came to apologize.

Chaos knew that his master was not the First Princess, instead she was the rival to the second Princess, but he chose to stay silent about that matter.

He bowed sincerely and said, "Rice is my Sworn Brother and you are his senior. This makes you my senior. It was rude of me to not greet you at our first meeting. Please accept my apologies."

The commander was shocked at first but burst out laughing afterwards, "Good child, you are very good child. Go! Cultivate and become stronger." He waved his hands happily towards Chaos.

Little Chaos's mind went into evolution over the period of these two days and he had learned humility. Seeing that being humble has a positive response, he made a mental note act humble in future.

As soon as he entered his cultivation, he dived straight into comprehending the last six major laws.

He took fifty years to finally comprehend everything. Even though he had a primal body, had the best guidance, had the best resources.

This did not mean Chaos was a failure. It just showed how difficult it was to comprehend a major fire law.

These self created laws can either be offensive, defensive or used to enhance his body.

Due to his weak physique, he wanted to enhance his physical strength with the laws that he would create.

"Do I create a major fire law to enhance my physical strength?" He asked the young lady.

"No! You will start comprehending the other major laws. You will now comprehend the Major Air laws." The young lady answered.

"But isn't it a necessity to increase my physical strength?" Chaos did not agree. Even though he was practically about one hundred and fifty years old, most of it was spent on cultivation. He did not know how the outside world worked.

"Hump! There is no need to hasten your growth. As long as you are my slave no one will dare attack you. So why are you so eager to increase your strength."

"If you want to gain more strength with less effort, you are just a fool. Do you think you know better than me. You don't! Just shut up and do what I say." The young lady shouted at him.

For the past few years she had always been a mild teacher who explained things softly, this led Chaos to believe that her character was mild.

He even came to believe that their first meeting, when she acted like a tyrant and smashed him without reason was just a false face.

But at this moment he was reminded that, this was the original character of the young lady.

She does not tolerate anyone who goes against her wishes. Chaos immediately got on his knees.

"It was my mistake. I will accept the punishment." He said.

The young lady noticed the change in Chaos's behavior and nodded. " You will start your comprehension of Major air laws, as for your punishment, I will think about it."

Chaos nodded and started his comprehension on Major air laws. He took the remaining one hundred and fifty years to totally comprehend the laws.

The next day would be the last day of the year, 25,000 of Deity calendar.

This is the day the Clan would be the most active in the whole year and also the day the Clan Master comes out of the palace.
