Strength and Power I
Kasa Gerb pov:
"Mother I will be heading out" I ran out saying my goodbye.
Grabbing my spear and shield I went to the forest where the hunting party was gathering.
"Kasa were here!" I tall lanky young lady was waving at her.
Today was the hunt, were groups were separated into teams to go out and hunt animals.
There was a point system in the hunt and it was based on the weight of the meat.
"I'm here!" Kasa ran towards the group of people.
Her group consisted of four people with assortment of weapons from spear to throwing spears and hunting bow, The girl that was yelling at her Taima and the twins Mare and Mia. It was an all girls group that they formed when they were children.
"Hi guys" Kasa hugged everyone in the group.
"Hi beautiful" Taiman smiled at her.
"Hey gorgeous","Hey sweetheart" The twins spoke one after the other.
"Bang!Bang!Bang!" A drum started beating and a man with an entourage of warriors walked into the open.
"Today we celebrate the hunt! , It is a tradition a tribute to our ancestors" The leader of the entourage spoke in frenzied voice.
He Arga the chief of the village, many respected the man as a good and humbled chief.
"Bring the sacrifice!" he waved the entourage forward and they brought a goat.
They held the goat down and cut it's throat, the blood was collected in a bowl and the participants were called forward group by group and flicked my by the blood.
"LET THE HUNT BEGIN!" Arga yelled and the rest of the blood was thrown towards the starting line.
My group ran forward and each and every group ran towards their own way, a couple of minutes later we ran a slower pace until it was clear that we were far enough from other groups.
"Whats the plan?" Mia asked everyone once we stopped
"Yea whats the plan" Mare echoed her sister question
"I say we go to old brush, there are always boars there" I answered.
"How do you know?" Taiman asked me.
"My father told me" I answered her back.
I started leading us to the old bush, It's called the old bush because somehow during winter season it was always the first bush to die.
The way there was uneventful and as we got closer we saw signs of broken twigs and eaten berries. Also there was a watering hole near the bush so I decided that we should head over there first to get a drink.
"shhh... look..." Taiman pointed at the watering hole, there was a young boar drinking water by it.
"okay guys...I'll head this way and the rest spread out, I'll scare it with my spear over to that direction" I instructed everyone into position and as I drew I ducked to the closes tree and it decided to look around.
"whoooo!" it was a whistle from one of the girls to say the are ready.
I jumped forward scaring it and it bolted, I chased after it barely keeping up then as it started getting away from me two arrows penetrate it on the side, Taiman came out of its other side throwing spears and hitting it but it kept running.
"Lets go girls, lets follow the blood trail, it will eventually tire of" i pointed at the blood.
Not long after I saw a boar on its last legs.
The twins started shooting arrows on it's hind leg that put it down, I stepped forward and pierced it in the heart.
"YAY!" I yelled and we all started celebrating but Taima wasn't she was looking at another direction.
"Taima are you okay?" I asked her and she pointed toward the sky.
"Smoke?, THE VILLAGE!" I yelled.
Gene Torroch Pov:
"Catch them let none escape!" I commanded the rest of my army.
My army surrounded the village and mounted a surprise attack
Ian blocked all the exit to to the village and were in the process of catching escaping villagers and setting up an ambushed to the hunting party that was coming back.
We interrogated some of the villagers that was already captured and apparently there was an event the villlage was holding and all most were away in the forest then suddenly a party came out of the woods.
"CAVALRY!, CHARGE! CATCH THEM ALIVE IF YOU CAN!" Ian commanded his cavalry to charge.
This batch were easily broken and shattered and were being runned down and supported by spear-man on foot.
Sometime later more and more of them appeared out of the woods trying to save the village they were shattered all the same.
After failing overtime the people in the forest change their tactics and we waited not long after a band came out the woods consisting of over sixty people and were in battle line.
"To me!" Ian yelled before I could and he charge straight into the enemy lines.
I was deeply impressed by the efficiency of The Reinmakers army worked, they were all well trained and anything they did they were fully synchronized.
I watch as Ian charged into the enemy lines and broken it, his crossbowman came out of came from behind the cavalry shooting at the daze attackers and then stopped after two volleys then the spear-men came and it was all over.
Kasa Gerb pov:
We watch as time and time again as the attackers broke us, I looked for the chief and he was already captured then somebody spoke up, it was the head warrior Druf.
"Lets wait a bit, everyone go into the wood and find all the people you can" he proposed.
As our number swelled we formed a line, most of us to the front were carrying spears and shields the middle throwing spears and the back were the archers.
"HERE THEY COME!" Druf yelled
The enemy cavalry run towards us and we held, the spear throwers began throwing their spears only to hit some of the horses and we collided.
"Bang!" I was sent flying back as my I caught my breath and my vision returned I saw Druf fighting a young man.
He thrust-ed his spear towards the horse but before it could do anything the young man reigned his horse to the side and at the same time swinging his spear.
Druf was hit in the head and was instantly knocked out, then bolts started coming towards us and hitting some of the survivors.
I got back up on my feet and looked for the girls, they were fighting to the far side of me, I ran towards them to help but I felt something behind me and as I turned around I saw a horse pass by me and then a boot hit me in my face and I lost consciousness.
