1 Newlywed Husband

Freya heard someone kicking the door open, just as she was about to fall asleep.

She was so startled that she suddenly sat up straight.

After snapping out of her daze, she could see a man swaying as he walked over.

It was her newlywed husband… Gideon Carter.

Even though Gideon seemed a little unsteady, he gave off a particularly imposing aura.

The man was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he was an outstanding man. He was also recently hailed as the most gorgeous man in Ocean City by a magazine of high reputability.

She was just the foster daughter of the declining Keller family, so they were worlds apart.

However, she unexpectedly married him.

This seemed utterly inconceivable.

Freya was in deep thought when she suddenly smelled the strong scent of alcohol. She gathered her thoughts and got out of bed to help him. "Mr. Carter, are you drunk?"

The man heartlessly flung her aside. "Get lost!"

She froze briefly with her almond-shaped eyes wide open. Now, she has woken up completely.

There was a rumor in Ocean City. Gideon was almost 30 years old, but he never had a girlfriend because of a woman called Brenna Davis.

Now that he was forced to marry her, it was only natural for him to be angry.

She stopped trying to touch him and said mildly, "I will prepare a bath for you."

The man narrowed his eyes as he looked at the unknown woman from behind and followed her angrily.

Shortly after Freya entered the bathroom, someone grabbed her by her wrist suddenly. He flung her against the opened door without holding back. "Since you were able to marry yourself into the family, you must know a thing or two about getting what you want!"

Her eyelashes trembled uncontrollably.

If she had a choice, why would she marry a man whom she had never met in her life?

However, there was no sense in arguing with a drunk man.

She struggled a little and attempted to wrest her hands free from the man. Instead, he held onto her wrists even more tightly.

Freya felt as though her bones were snapping.

The man kept forcing her to look at him as his powerful voice echoed in the air. "Answer me!"

Freya lowered her eyes. She looked slightly stubborn from the way she refused to answer him.

Gideon scoffed coldly.

In a split second, the man tossed her into the bathtub altogether. Her back and calves got scraped in the process, so she could not help crying in pain out loud.

Cold water sprayed onto Freya.

Freya looked up and saw the man had turned on the shower.

She anxiously reached her hands out to block the water as she looked at him and said, "Are you insane?"

Gideon could no longer hear what she was saying. He held her face and lowered his head to kiss her.

He called someone's name while he was kissing her intently. "Brenna."

Freya was stunned. Sadness suddenly emanated from her eyes.
