7 Chapter 7 Handsome but unlucky

Jing Yue had decided to stay home as he was supposed to meet the nanny that was going to assist the twins. He would have preferred that they remain with Ms Fang but the woman had done a great job in raising them since day one and she needed some rest. For a while now, he had been sitting in the study while finishing some work as he constantly looked outside the glass wall as he saw the twins swimming.

When little Huan left the poolside, he concentrated on his work and the next time he looked again, he saw her being carried by a young woman.

He realized that she was the pretty auntie she had been talking about. Looking clearly, she looked ordinary, wearing regular sweater pants and a Tshirt. Her long black hair was tied into a messy bun and he saw how Little Huan was happy being in company of the woman. From what he had seen, she looked innocent and nothing about her was suspicious but he doubted such a young woman could take care of children.

"I came moments ago and little Huan directed me here," spoke Tang Ning as she put her down. "Alright. You will stay here and watch over the twins as I go inform the young master that you're here," replied Ms Fang. "Of course. It has no problem," she replied as she rested her purse on the seats. When Ms Fang left, she helped little Huan get into the water and after, she walked over to Juan. "Hey little Juan. How are you doing?" she asked him with a smile. "Fine," he replied with a poker face.

The smile on her face didn't leave and she said," I am Tang Ning. I want to be your friend." He took a while to respond,"Okay. You are my friend now," he replied.

"Thank you little Juan," she said and Huan came swimming towards them then said,"Juan Juan, pretty auntie is going to be our new nanny!"

He raised his eyes to look at her before saying,"I want Aunt Fang."

Tang Ning smiled at him and she was yet to say something when Ms Fang came back. "The young master is ready to meet you in the living room. I will take you there," she said and Tang Ning got up before walking towards her purse.

"I will be waiting for you pretty auntie," said Little Huan who was in the water. "Alright. I will be sure to come back," she said and she followed Ms Fang.

Getting inside the house, she took a deep breath and she released it through her lips as they made way to the living room.

The moment her eyes fell on the man sitting in the living room, she halted in her steps. Is he Mr Jing Yue? She couldn't believe it! She had seen the man a number of times at the cafeteria where she used to work.

He used to come often and order a cup of coffee before sitting in the extreme corner alone. She always noticed that he was sad and many times she had thought of going to talk to him but she left it in the end. And thus, she had nicknamed him ' handsome but unlucky ' because it felt as though his life was messed up. And right now, he was going to be her boss.

"Tang Ning," Ms Fang called to gain her attention and she smiled before saying," I'm sorry. My mind went somewhere." "He is right there and he expects you. I will go back to the twins," she said before leaving.

Tang Ning took a deep breath before continuing to walk forward. Reaching the living room, she realized that his eyes were fixated on his phone and she wondered what she should do to gain his attention.

Luckily a while later, he raised his eyes to see her and said," Have a seat." She walked to the opposite couch and took a seat facing him.

He dropped his phone and looked at her before saying,"You are?" "I'm Tang Ning," she replied observing his facial features.

"Tang Ning. You are welcome," he said and she realized that he called her name casually. "Thank you Mr Jing Yue," she replied. "Alright. I first of all want to thank you for helping my daughter at the mall. She told me about it," he said.

"It is nothing Mr Jing Yue. Anyone would have done the same for her," she said.

"I want to thank you still. Because of that reason and the fact that my daughter is fond of you, I will give you the job," he said and she couldn't help the smile that spread on her lips. "Thank you Mr Jing Yue," she replied. When he looked at her, he realized that she seemed farmiliar as if he had seen her somewhere but couldn't remember.

As he was still thinking about it, his phone rang and he checked to see that it was his friend, Jin Liwei. "Excuse me," he said before answering, "Hey man."

"Hey, how are you doing?" asked Jin Liwei. "I'm alright. How are you?" "Not good. We need to talk," he said. "What happened?" asked Jing Yue furrowing his brows. "I'm waiting for you in our usual spot. Hurry up," he said before hanging up.

Looking at the lady, he stood up and said," I'm sorry but I have to head out now. You will finish everything with Ms Fang where she will tell you all you need to know and ask all you want to know." She nodded and he walked away, probably heading to his room.

As she left the house, she couldn't help but wonder where his wife was. The possible explanation was that they had separated, probably divorced.

Walking back to the pool, she found Ms Fang and told her about the little conversation they had. "He told me to ask you all that I need to know," she said. "Alright. First of all congratulations on getting the job." "Thank you." "Well, first of all I have raised those kids, since the time their mother left when they were newborns until now," she said and Tang Ning was shocked.
