"Jennifer Wang, I'll ask you a question and you will answer me truthfully." Lucy asked in a firm voice which she never used on Jennifer "What was in drink?"

Jennifer flinched involuntarily by the tone Lucy used on her.

"W-what are you saying, babe?" Jennifer acted to be clueless and Lucy heard her calmly, without interrupting the girl

"There was nothing mixed in your drink. It was just an ordinary alcohol." Said Jennifer

"Alcohol doesn't make someone paralyzed, Jennifer," Lucy stated

"Paralyzed? babe, you felt like you were paralyzed?" Jennifer sounded surprised "It must be because that was your first time drinking alcohol!" she paused for a moment then said, "Or probably because you have got really bad alcohol tolerance?"

"You won't answer." Lucy calmly said, "Alright then, I will go and seek the professional help of a doctor." Then she added, "I'm sure a blood test will be able to reveal everything."

"Hey! why getting so worked up?!" Jennifer said sounding offended

Lucy didn't utter a single word neither she hung up the phone.

Jennifer sighed "Okay darn it! I just added a little bit drug into your drink." Then she added "Just so you could enjoy your life for at least one day!" Jennifer used the worst excuse of the year

She, the super genius Jennifer Wang, Why went to study in Ocean University? Just so she could learn from the same teacher as Li Xuan. Just so she could seat on the same bench where Li Xuan used to sit. Just so she could eat in the same cafeteria where Li Xuan used to eat.

And what happened in the end? This British girl whom she considered as her friend, slapped her first and forever love Li Xuan!

As if it wasn't already enough that Li Xuan started to take interest in this British girl's schedules!

That's why when Li Xuan instructed her to make the British girl drunk, she added some drug as well.

But she didn't expect her to find out!

Lucy closed her eyes, took a deep breath and said "A mistake in your part,"

"Mistake? I did it for you! because I thought you needed to relax and enjoy for a while. And instead of thanking me, you are claiming it as a mistake?" Jennifer gave an award-winning speech to Lucy, then she added in a sad tone "So much for your 'anything-for-friendship' principle." This was always the trump card for Jennifer.

Lucy was getting dissatisfied by every next word of Jennifer and especially that part where she mentioned 'I thought you needed to relax and enjoy'

Isn't listening to your heart is the actual enjoyment? If yes, then Lucy was enjoying her life to the fullest.

She accepted scholarship offer and came to this foreign country for study just because she loved travelling around and learning new cultures.

'And she says I needed to relax and enjoy for a while.' Lucy shook her head in disapproval.

"I still can do anything for friendship, Jennifer." Lucy said, "Just like yesterday, I went to the club and drank the stuff you offered despite it was out of my comfort zone." Then Lucy added in a serious tone "But what you did yesterday wasn't crossing my comfort zone, It was you crossing the boundary I have made."

Why didn't the trump card worked? Jennifer questioned herself.

"Babe, I'll still say all I did was for your sake." Jennifer said "Trust me I had no intention of harming you." then she added, "Please forgive me, I'm your best friend after all."

Best friend... This word reminded her of the guy whose name starts with the letter 'K'

Thinking of Krish made Lucy smile.

"You have some misunderstanding, Jennifer." said Lucy "Friends? yes. But as for best friend... we aren't. We never was. And there is no chance of becoming one in future as well." Lucy added "Because I'm going to end our friendship right now and here."

"It's best for both of us. Before things could take a nasty turn, let's end it." Lucy said and disconnected the call.

People betray, but does it mean we should stop believing in humanity? The answer is 'No!'

Lucy never stopped believing in it, She just started to be more practical. Life is not a movie where a bad guy will turn good just because of that one girl.

And she was more than happy to have realistic characters in her life.

and her baby Omisha.

She looked at Omisha who sleeping peacefully and even in her sleep, the kid didn't let go of her hand.

A smile blossomed on her lips.

Lucy kissed the little fairy's forehead and lay down next to her.

She was supposed to stay awake the whole night since she saw the man with whom she has love-and-hate-relationship, but strange enough, She fall asleep as soon as she closed her eyes and focused on her Omisha's even breathing.

Lucy was asleep but life wasn't going easy on Li Xuan.

He tossed and turned on his king-sized bed but the goddess of sleep has no plan to showing mercy on him.

He got up from his bed and headed to the kitchen, opened the fridge, took out a chilled water bottle and emptied it in one gulp.

And yet, he didn't found the peace he was looking for.

Usually, he always used to fall asleep, right after wishing good night to the picture which

has been engraved in his heart.

But today it wasn't working for him.

He came out of his house and stood right in front of the door which was separating him from her.

He extended his hand toward the door but before it could land a knock, he retracted it back.

And sat on the ground, leaning on the very same door of the person whom he hurt the most.

The level of comfort this door provided him was beyond any description.

Cold wind blew on his face like the soft caresses of her scarf.

It was as if the nature itself was trying to say "She is right here."

And he felt her presence with every inch of his body and soul.

His last word before landing into the most pleasant sleep was something like "Yes, she is right here."
