2 Am I Scary

Riwansa and Xi Xiao strolled by the Mystyshore lake. The vast greenery soothed XiXi's heart. "Now, could you please tell me about them?" XiXi asked with a hint of blame in her voice.

"The Royals are complicated, even to the people here. I just didn't know how to explain it to you, someone who belongs to a completely different world." Riwansa let out a light sigh.

"Let me ask you then. What is the social hierarchy here?" XiXi asked looking at the small swan like creatures swimming across the lake.

"You don't have royals over there, right?" Riwansa asked to which Xixi nodded.

"The elites are at the very top of the pyramid. They are the piller of this world. Which makes them more important than any other being. These elites can be human beings, vampires, warewolves, witches, royals or immortal fantoms like us." Riwansa replied glancing at XiXi.

"Too complicated?" She asked once again recieving no response.

"Nope, this just seems too surreal. You know what, I always fantasized about living in such kind of a mysterious world. Who knew someday my dream will actually be fulfilled?" Xixi grinned happily at Riwansa.

"You are quite weird Xixi. Let's go back for now. ok? We have to attend a party tomorrow. I will tell you more about this world later on." Riwansa said noticing the sun was about to set.

They took the lantern street to return. The after glow of sunset illuminated the surroundings.

The two of them walked slowly. Xixi looked around to like a curious child which made a light chuckle escape from Riwansa.

Xixi immediately gave her a side eyes which successfully made her purse her lips.

"You really resembled a white Lotus bitch over there." Riwansa said with a lopsided smile.

"White lotuses are pretty. I will take that as a compliment." XiXi said covering her embarrassment.

Swish….a blue spark lit up as Riwansa's sword clashed with the incoming tiny flame towards the direction of Xixi.

Xixi furrowed her browse staring deeply at the place where the spark took place. Riwansa retracted her sword as it disappeared.

"What do you think?" Riwansa turned sideways to look at Xixi who was still deep in thought.

She raised her head and said in a calm voice, " It might be something I know." Biting her lips she continued, " It is something that took place during my teleportation too."

"There are too many mysteries." Both of them thought inwardly .

Unknowingly they reached the palace still mulling over their inner turmoil.

As Riwansa was about to enter the inner hall, she turned back to ask Xixi,

"Oh, I forgot to ask you, are you coming to the party next day?"

"I will be there." Xi Xiao replied determinedly after quickly making up her mind. Riwansa gently smiled as seeing the little flower slowly blooming into a charming, determined and strong princess with ethereal charm.

"That's good. I will prepare the dress and jewelleries for you, for now just take rest and focus on the basic etiquettes, chill, don't stress and that's it, go to your room now."

Riwansa's calm tone indeed helpd her cool down a bit, she slowly approached her room in the next corridor.The corridor was dark since it was already evening. The bright moonlight dimly lit the corridor creating a magical show of light and shadow. No one could tell if someone was hiding behind the pillars, if one isn't careful enough.

The circular corridor resembled a befuddling maze, being a novice at directions it wasn't long before Xi Xiao was lost in her tracks. "Need some help?" a sudden deep voice disrupted her nervous brain wrecking thoughts.

She turned back, and her eyes fell over the guy from earlier, the second prince known as Ziran, who was currently standing against a pillar with a mischevious smile on his face. His long legs were looking longer than usual due to the majestic suite he was wearing.

Xi Xiao was dazzled with the enchanting sight, her small mouth slightly open and her body stiffed slightly. 'He looks like a mediaeval prince charming walking out of a painting.' Xixi continued admiring the adonis in front of her. A tinge of pink, shaded her creamy cheeks.

Her blush made Ziran let out a pfft breaking the awkward moment of roses and red hearts. Hearing his laughter rather than composing herself Xi Xiao was even more at a trance. His laughter completely reorganized his ever so stoic image engraved in her heart from Riwansa's gossips and the first time meeting him.

"Hey, you all ok?'' seeing the girl still at a trance he approached her with sincere concern and wavered his hand in front of her doe almond eyes. "Huh, umm..yeah…I…I... am all ok..oh I meant sincere greetings to your highness…I am…I am… I am extremely sorry actually I …I mean.. a.." her muddled inconsistent line of words ( yeah that can't even be considered as a sentence) with a face as pitiful as a person to be slaughtered genuinely confused Ziran.

"Don't cry please, atleast tell me what happened? You want to go to Riwa.. Don't worry, I will take you to her. Ok? Just don't cry please, ok lady?" Ziran's voice was extremely helpless and maybe this was one of the infinite times when the great never yielding second prince famous for his indifferent attitude to people lowered his head and softened his voice.

Meanwhile another handsome figure stood behind a pillar with a goblet of red wine in his slender hands. "Hm..The game is just getting better." He muttered to himself as he took a sip from the goblet. 'The war is going for so long, it's indeed time to resolve the old feuds for once and all.

"Don't get too much emotional." The bottled message that floated near him read this. "Sigh…Deceiving him is too tough. But he is right." The flamboyant figure thought to himself.

"I will find my way back, thanks for your concern." Xi Xiao said in a soft voice and immediately ran away like a deer for its precious life.

"Am I scary?" Ziran thought to himself while tracing his face with his palm for once.
