9 Inescapable

"Taehee ran away?" I asked scoffing. I glared at the terrified guards standing before me. "W-we were standing right in front of his cubicle, he was taking too long and when we opened it, the cubicle was empty." they said hanging their heads low.

I get up from my seat, stuffing my hands inside my pocket, laughing at them sarcastically. "So you both mean to say, he disappeared from the cubicle? Even when both were there?" the guards didn't dare to male any kind of eye contact as they nodded their heads in agreement, shamelessly.

"So what are you doing here? GO FIND HIM!" I screamed at them, as they scurried away. Kim Taehee, if you want to start this game, I'll make sure to end it well.

TAEHEE'S POV

"How did I end up like this" I whispered as I heard the man in front of me laughed while accelerating his motorbike. "Don't worry, I'll leave you safely with your hyung." he said as I sighed. "But what about " I trailed off as I saw him smiling through the side mirror. "As much as I know Jeonghoon, he probably knows where you are right now." he said as my eyes widened. "But seeing that I am not being followed yet, its clear that he wants to play the game." he said taking a turn towards the right. "W-What GAME?" I said holding onto him tightly as he sped up.

"Lets go to your hyung first." he assured me as loosened my grip. "You asked me so many questions, but not my name?" he said laughing. Realisation struck me as I smiled at him awkwardly.

"Jung Hyunshik." he said halting his bike.

SUNGJIN'S POV

I somehow managed to get Hyunshik help sneak Taehee out of the airport. I don't why, Taehee has that effect on me. Whenever I see him, I feel the need to protect him.

"Hyung!" I heard a familiar voice which made me turn around immediately. I saw Hyunshik smiling wide with Taehee beside him. "So you really think that..." I tried asking him again as he cut me off. "I don't think hyung, I'm sure of it." Taehee looked at me smiling. "Even after everything he did?" I asked him as he laughed.

"I must be mad hyung, mad enough to fall in love with a person who never treated me as human. Someone who just treats me like any other object that he owns. But I'm still attracted to him hyung. And I don't know why." he said as tears threatened to fall off. I immediately hugged him as he collapsed into my arms, crying his heart out.

"Taehee... Love is something that doesn't need a reason. It just happens. But can you tell me everything truthfully, I don't want you to get yourself into any kind of trouble." I said slowly caressing his cheek. "As long as you hear it out completely..." he said looking at me with puppy eyes.

"So he basically bought you, abused you, and you still..." I was about to burst out when Taehee held my hand tightly to calm me down. "He saved me from those human trafickkers, fed me, gave me shelter, even a decent job, what more do I need." he said as shivers ran down my spine. I glanced at Hyunshik as he returned me an equally tensed look.

"Deja vu hyung." Hyunshik said chuckling sadly. I smiled back as his voice rang through my ears "He loves me hyung, what more do I need" I felt Taehee staring at us confused as I quickly shrugged off all my thoughts proceeding to eat.

"Hyung, Where's Mrs Kim?" Hyunshik asked as I looked around. I asked a maid to call my mom downstairs for dinner. "Hyung, I'm actually full now. Can I go for a walk outside?" Taehee said as I nodded my head continuing to eat. "Just around the lawn" Hyunshik reminded before taking another spoonful of his curry. Taehee laughed as assuring us that he'd be back soon and headed outside.

"That kid." a familiar female voice spoke out as I turned my head. "That's the kid, I was talking about, Taehee." I said as I pulled out a chair for her to sit. "His smile is weirdly familiar to me Sungjin." she said still staring at the closed door.

"And I thought I was the only one." I said giggling. "Your dad had a boxy smile too." she said pulling out a plate for her. "No wonder, it felt as if he was my own brother." I said serving her some rice. "I guess so." she said sighing.

"Hyung, Aunty I'm done. Thankyou for the meal, I'll check on Taehee while going out." Hyunshik said slowly getting up. "Just send him inside." I said looking at the time as he nodded. "Hyunshik you can stay overnight here, What's the rush?" Mom said looking at him dearly. "Thankyou so much for asking, but I'll have to go home. A kitten is waiting for me at home." he said wheezing slightly.

"When did you buy a kitten? or did you adopt it?" Mom said as I chuckled at her innocent question. "I adopted him recently." He replied trying to laugh hard looking at me. "Alright, I'll go now, I'll send Taehee inside." he said as we both nodded.

We both continued having our meal, until we heard the door bang open. Our eyes quickly diverted away from the table as we saw a panicking Hyunshik, "Where's that kid?" my mom asked noticing the worry on his face.

"I can't find him anywhere hyung." Hyunshik replied as I freaked out. I was about to run out to look for him myself, when my phone rang. It was a notification. I wasted no time and clicked on it.

It said:

"You're not the only one who knows to sneak him away. The game is on hyung."

I sighed as I sat back on my chair, pulling my hair in frustration. "Hyung Taehee.." Hyunshik was about to ask as I cut him off.

"Jeonghoon"
