4 Ugh, You Can Be So, Ugh

It lasts longer."

"Hey," a voice spoke from behind me making me jump in place.

Turning around to see the owner of the voice I found the dark haired boy with light brown eyes and olive skin, the one whom I had met the day before.

Did he hear anything?

"Noah, is it?" I questioned him.

"Yeah," he nodded, "unlike some people I actually do remember your name," he jokingly said.

Feigning shock I said, "I was just making sure."

Noah chuckled at my response.

I guess he didn't.

"Didn't my brother tell you to stay away from me?" I reminded him, lifting an eyebrow as a smirk was etching on my face.

"Well, you did tell me you knew how to calm him down, and from what I heard he's no longer your brother," Noah answered, widening my eyes I looked over at him.

He did hear.

Quickly composing myself I tried to act genuinely confused, "Whatever do you mean?"

"Oh cut the crap. I heard what you two were talking about, you didn't even look around to see if anybody was around, I mean I was promptly sitting on that love seat over there," his finger was pointing over to the seat not too far away from where we were standing.

Sighing I gave in, "Can you just not tell anybody. Please," I begged.

Noah stayed silent just thinking to himself, before his face brightened as if an idea had popped into his head, "If you go on a date with me."

"Look, let's get this crystal clear," I started, "I'm not interested," I deadpanned.

His face was full of shock, "What- why? You don't even know me, if you were to go on a date with me you'd get to know every inch of me."

"Yeah, still not interested," I shrugged, making his mouth fall wide open.

Making my way back to where the rest of the people were, I could sense that Noah was right behind me following like a lost puppy.

Spotting Isabella close to the beverages, she felt my gaze and smiled back before her eyes landed on something behind me.

Turning I said, "Get lost."

"Blair, just give me a chance, come on it's not an everyday thing for me to go out of my way to chase a girl," Noah tried to convince me.

"Well, you're just wasting your time. Just go look for someone else, Noah," I advised him.

Pursing his lips, he did as I said and left me all alone as a blonde caught his line of sight.

Rolling my eyes at his player antics, I just began my way over to a stunned looking Isabella. She seemed as if she had seen a ghost.

"Wait. What?! Was that the 'Noah Smith' I just saw you talking to?!" Isabella said exaggeratedly.

I don't understand why people start the names of the 'important people' with 'the'. Like what is it with them and overreacting over a person.

"I guess," I rolled my eyes at her reaction.

Gasping she exclaimed, "You guess?! You guess?!" Taking a deep breath she babbled, "He's one of the most hottest guys in our school! And he was just now talking to you, of all people, you," I took noticed that she empathized the word 'hottest'.

"Trust me, he knows damn well that he's hot, that's why he uses it as his advantage," I divulged, "I mean he's a player Bella, all he does is sleep around."

"How would you know that, you've barely entered the school days ago," she replied, denying the fact that I was right.

"Because I know guys like him, they're all the same,"  I answered.

Rolling her eyes she asked, "So what was it he wanted to talk about?"

"He asked me on a date," I shrugged, not really caring.

"You said yes obviously!" She clapped happily at the new found information. She won't be happy for long after what I'm going to say next.

"You must not heard me right the first time, he's a player, a fuck boy, someone I would never go for. I especially don't like being tossed around like nothing," I responded.

"Ugh, you can be so, Ugh!" She yelled, "you know what?! You can go home! Do whatever you want, I myself will go have fun with friends who understand me! Be the same old boring girl who nobody likes!"

And like that she stomped away like a little girl who didn't get the toy she wanted.

What the fuck? What did I just witness?

"What was that all about? Is she PMSing or something?" A deep voice pointed out.

"What?! What is it you want from me?!" I exclaimed turning around, "Don't you have someone else to spend time with, for example that one brown haired girl who is currently sending daggers over to me with her eyes."

"Is someone jealous?" Jayden teased wiggling his eyebrows, as he saw that he wasn't getting any type of emotion out of me, but irritation he added, "Your brother asked me to look after you."

"And you listened?" I replied.

"Well, I mean, he is my best friend and I'll do anything for him," he confesses, "After all if you didn't make him act like he doesn't know you, none of this would have happened."

"I'm sorry that I don't want attention forced onto me," I said sarcastically.

"I thought you loved attention," he replied with a big grin on his face, rolling my eyes I didn't answer him, "So after the little scene between you and your friend, are you gonna stay or..."

"I think I'll stay for a little while," I cut him off.

"Sounds good," Jayden smirked, winking over at me.

Rolling my eyes at his flirtatious ways, I realize he wasn't moving from beside me.

"Won't I bore you?" I broke the silence.

"What do you mean?! I never get bored with you!" He replied offended as if I had just told him something completely rude.

"Oh really?" I said sarcastically, "Cut the crap, Jayden, it's just the two of us, stop with the nonsense."

Gasping he put a hand over his heart, "You hurt me deeply," suddenly his face changed, from his normal smirk to a genuine smile, "I'm not lying, Blair. You're actually quite different from the rest of the girls."

"I hope that's a good thing," I commented, making him chuckle lowly.

"Of course," he affirmed with yet another of his enticing smiles, making his right dimple make an appearance, "I mean your looks are a plus one," his player self was back.

"You sure know how to flirt, Jayden," I admitted, "No wonder you have so many girls following you everywhere you go."

"What can I say, I'm a natural," he grinned, "You know now that you've brought up this topic, why is it that you don't?"

"Don't what? Follow you like the rest of the girls?" He nodded, "Well, I'm just not the girl for you, aren't I?" I questioned him.

"There's no girl for me," Jayden answered, "And as if of right now, I'm not looking for relationships."

"Why not?" I found myself asking him, quite interested to know what had caused Jayden to be disinterested in dating.

"I guess it's just not fun, having a girlfriend will only stop me from living my life to the fullest," he shrugged, I thought to myself trying to find a meaning behind it, a loop hole, "Blair, don't try finding a reason, it's hopeless," he sighed.

"It's a party, come on let's have some fun. How does that sound?" He chimed bumping his shoulder with my own, smirking over at me.

"How about you go have some fun while I just stay here," I tried to bargain, key word tried.

"Nah, I'll stay here with you," he smiled over at me, "So what will it be? A drink? Food? Or a dance?" He questioned, wiggling his perfect eyebrows my way, again.

Chuckling I replied, "A drink will be fine."

"You sure? The last option is still available," he recalled grinning.

"I'm sure," I asserted.

Frowning in mock disappointment he went to get a red cup to fill it up with some punch, I watched intently as his arms flexed while pouring the liquid into the cup.

Realizing he had his hand stretched with the cup on one hand I coughed to cover up the fact that I was staring at him.

"Thank you," I said taking the drink from him, one of my fingers grazed his hand sending tingles throughout my arm.

"No problem," he replied, looking directly into my eyes, diverting his eyes from me they wondered around, "Um, I'm going to the bathroom I'll be right back."

Nodding my head I let him leave.

Taking a tiny sip off of my punch which I was pretty sure was spiked, I mean what was I expecting it was a party after all. A college party at that.

"Aren't you too young to be drinking?" A familiar voice asked.

What is it with people wanting to talk to me in this party. Especially my brothers friends, did he send him too?

"Aren't you too dumb to be talking?" I countered, a smirk playing on the end of my full pink lips.

Noah's smirk faltered after hearing my reply, "Why won't you just accept my offer, I mean it's not everyday I grant a girl to spend a day with me," he tried to once again get me to agree to a date with him.

"No," I blurted out, "don't you know the definition of no, not at all; to no extent will I go out with you," I finalized.

As I thought that I had gotten it through his thick skull, I smiled in achievement.

Boy was I wrong.

"Smart and sassy, I like it," he smiled over at me, "It's refreshing."

I was in utter shock, I mean, any person would understand the meaning of 'no' after being heard multiple times already, but this guy right here, seemed like he didn't take no's and he found it somewhat challenging.

"How about you just go back to blondie?" I began, looking over at the girl he was with after I denied his offer, "It seems she misses you," I fake pouted his way.

"What? Is someone jealous?" He teased, with a full blown grin etched onto his structured face, "We haven't gone on a date yet and you're already mad I'm talking to other girls?"

Rolling my eyes I said, "Look if someone is desperate here, it's you, after all you are the one who's obsessing over a date, that a matter of fact won't be happening, ever."

Chuckling he said, "We'll see about that," with a wink at the end, before starting to walk away saying, "See you around, Princess!"

How can someone be so full of themselves? And princess? I know he did not just call me, princess.

"What did I miss?" Jayden finally made an appearance.

"Not much," I replied, "What took you so long? Something went wrong in there?" I questioned raising one of my plucked eyebrows.

"Actually," he started, "I think I might need you to check if Jayden junior is okay," he smirked my way.

Jayden junior?

Then it hit me, "You disgusting pervert," I scrunched up my nose in distaste.

Laughing at his own perverted 'jokes' he explained himself, "I stopped to talk to a couple of friends before coming here."

Nodding my head I said, "You know, you can go talk to your friends. There's no need for you staying with me."

Shaking his head he denied, "As I said before, I'll stay, I prefer your company much more."

Just as he said that, a girl who seemed tipsy, tripped over her foot, but before she could hit the floor. Jayden's hands shot out and held her.

"Oh, thank you," she started, "you're such a gentleman, I wish there were more guys like you in this school or even better, in this world," she slurred.

Jayden chuckled as he brought her up to her feet, "Well, thank you, it isn't everyday a girl appreciates my chivalry."

The dark haired girl in front of us, was surely drunk, but she was in her right mind to notice how hot he was. I mean she was practically drooling.

As if she had remembered of something, her face brightened with a huge smile.

"Oh my god! Do you guys want to play spin the bottle?!" she suddenly shouted from in front of us.

"I don't think..." I was cut short as she grabbed my arm saying, "Nonsense."

Dragging me, we passed the dance floor and then we made a stop at a door, the girl opened the door quickly before pulling me down the stairs.

As I paid closer attention to my surroundings, I noticed we were now at the basement of this house.

A couple of people sat around in a circle in the middle of the room, two couches decorated the place off to the sides not too far away from the circle made.

A TV was hung on the wall, close to the couches, and video game consoles were placed neatly on the glass table against the wall.

There was a pool table at the far back, as well as a mini bar, black stools decorated the counter.

"Those are all the people that want to play?" A guy with blonde hair question, it was the same guy Isabella was dancing with.

Looking around the circle, I saw her there, sitting next to him. As she saw me, she gave me a tight lipped smile before looking away to talk to the girl on the other side of her.

"Yeah," the girl who was still holding onto my arm replied, "So let's begin!"

Finally letting my arm go, she scurried off to the formed circle.

Where's Jayden?

Looking behind me, I found him walking down the stairs.

"You know we don't have to play," he informed me, as he moved closer to me.

"No, come one, it'll be fun," I replied, dragging him with me just as the girl had done to me the past couple of minutes.

Sitting next to the dark haired girl, Jayden sat on the other side of me. Going onto my knees I got comfortable as we were about to play spin the bottle.

"Wait let me finish this," the girl seated next to Isabella said, tipping her beer bottle up and downing it down in seconds.

Placing it in the middle, she said, "So who's starting first?"

Everybody stayed still as they waited for someone to volunteer. Suddenly Isabella perked up, "I'll start!"

Leaning over to get closer to the bottle, her hand grasped it before spinning it fast. Later on the bottle started slowing down, until it stopped in front of the guy seated next to Jayden.

Isabella looked over at him and her cheeks flushed red in a matter of seconds. The guy just sent a smirk her way, before starting to crawl over to her.

Isabella looked over at the blonde guy she was seated with and he looked quite mad as he glared over at the smirking guy.

The crawling stopped as soon as the guy was inches away from Isabella, puckering his lips, Isabella thought about it at first before moving a little closer to him and pecking his lips.

Deciding that was enough she backed up and sat herself down.

With that motion the guy went back to his spot, the smirk never leaving his face as he looked over at blondie.

I could tell there was some tension between them by the way they looked at each other.

The game kept on going, and before I knew it, it was my turn.

I was actually rethinking everything I mean, I didn't know any of these people, expect for two, Jayden and Isabella.

Well, don't get me wrong it's not like I have never played this game, but this is college now and I was trying to keep a reputation and seeing these people here it seemed like they were from the crowd I was trying to avoid.

The good thing was that they were pretty much drunk so maybe they wouldn't remember a thing.

"Blair?" A voice broke me out of my thoughts.

Looking over at Isabella I raised my eyebrows in question, "It's your turn," she reminded me.

Widening my eyes, I nodded before going over to the beer bottle. Just as the rest, I gripped the bottle, turning it fast, making it spin around.

It was as if everything was happening in slow motion, the bottle's spinning was slowing down and it was getting closer to where I was seated. And just like that, it stopped in front of the one person I would've never expected.

Jayden. How cliche.

As if he had barely realized his eyes widened, just like my own. We stared at each other for a while, which felt like hours.

Up until I decided to grow a pair, and moved over so I could be facing him.

My heart was beating rapidly and I'm sure he could hear it. Inching closer to him, our faces were merely close enough. I could feel his breath fanning my face, the smell of mint and beer lingered around us. Looking him directly in the eyes I noticed how his blue orbs were staring down at my lips.

As our faces inched closer, my breath was caught in my throat as Jayden's nose brushed against my own. My eyes unexpectedly moved down to his lips as he ran his tongue over his bottom lip.

Resting his head against mine, his eyes were now staring at my green ones before they once again slipped down to my lips as I passed my tongue over them. His breathing became heavier at the action, a groan resounded in the back of his throat that didn't go unnoticed by me.

Suddenly I felt a warmth at the nape of my neck as he had placed his calloused hand there to bring me much closer.

His Adam's apple bobbed as if rethinking his actions. As if closing the distance was going to be like crossing the line.

Looking at his once bright blue eyes, I found myself staring back at dark blue ones that were filled with an emotion I've never seen him ever use, especially with me.

Before I knew it, he broke us apart, placing a tender kiss onto my forehead.

I was beyond shocked, and I'm sure he noticed as my eyes were wide open. Quickly composing myself, I shook the feeling of hurt.

Hearing him clear his throat I looked over at him, but wasn't able to look into his eyes, "It's late, we should probably get going," his voice came out hoarse even after he had cleared his throat.

Nodding my head in agreement, I backed away even further from him.
