1 Don't be boring

She stood at the terrace staring at the clouds above her. All the things she'd been through and all the secrets, she had to keep started replaying in her head. It wasn't easy for her to behave normally after all she had been through to get this far. To be the lady she is now. All the time she was alone, she always remembered what happened in the past. Even at times when she wasn't alone, she kept on remembering about her life. She heard thud of boots on the floor. She didn't bother to turn around to see who it was. She just wanted to get some fresh air before she could go inside.

"What's up are you alright", Zack pats her shoulder. He didn't like seeing her in that state. Always excluding herself to be thinking of whatever she was thinking of which they had no idea of. 

"Nothing much I just wanted fresh air", she lies with a faint grin on her face. She couldn't inform him about her problems and what was making her be sad.

"Sure... If you don't wanna share now, am here to hear you remember that", her sweet best friend offers. He didn't like seeing her in that state. He just wanted to see her happy.

"I think it's my cherophobic nature", she states with a slight grin. Even though she knew that she was cherophobic. She tried her best not to be over paranoid over everything.

"Stop it. Just enjoy this moment. Let's go back in there and have some fun", he held her hand in a tight grip dragging her back to the club. As they entered inside the club,

the beat was vibrating off the walls. There were people yelling and screaming cause of excitement. The drinks were flowing across the tables. The dance floor was filled with sweaty bodies swaying to the beat.  As they approached the table they were sitting on. Brianna was still sitting drinking her wine slowly as her eyes were glued on the people who were dancing. Brianna is also the best friend of Cat. And she's also her roommate.

"Girl... I think this is the best place for you to find a boyfriend. I mean you have never had one in your entire campus life", Brianna mentions as she points at a guy who was across their table. He was alone and seemed relaxed considering the kind of environment they were in. 

"What has that guy done", she lifts a brow confused. She had no idea of what she was talking about.

"I want you to go and join him. If you can ask for his number. You know that you need a boyfriend now", she wasn't joking. She always wondered why Catina had never been in any relationship since they met. 

"Hell no, I can't do that he's so serious. It's embarrassing", Cat hastily denied. She couldn't do what Brianna was telling her to do. 

"Just stop being boring for once. Do something exciting go and approach him girl go...", She insists. Cat knew she had to do it whether she liked it or not. Her friend wouldn't let her depart that place until she did what she wanted. 

"Oooh fine I will go your so annoying at times", she scoffs as her heartbeat pounded faster. It was her first time to approach a guy in that way. She didn't know how she would do it. She just had to do it. 

"What should I tell him. Where do I start", she questions. 

"Just be like 'hey handsome can I join you' then sit beside him and start the conversation. Be quick before he leaves this place. This guy is so handsome don't let him go", Brianna insists. She wasn't making this easy for her. 

"Oooh, your so irritating", Cat pouts like a child as she heads to the guy. 

He looked like a male model. His looks appalled her. He lifts his head to glance at her. "Hey handsome can I join you...", She asks exactly as how Brianna told her. She didn't know how to do it. 

"Yes you can", he slightly grins at her. She wasn't expecting him to be so welcoming. 

"Why are you alone", Cat raises a question.

"To relax", he informs her glancing at Cat's friends who were laughing so hard staring at them. 

"Ooh, nice. Am Cat", she introduced herself. At least for a starter, she tried to be calm and approached him well. 

"Wow Cat that's weird", he scoffs. 

"It's Catina", she says her full name. He doesn't speak and stares at her intensively. 

She starts to creep out as he does this. She didn't know what he was thinking of or maybe he thought she was just a hooker. 

"You are so beautiful. Why don't you have a boyfriend", he lifts a brow at her. She never expected him to ask such a question. 

She swallows hard before answering him. "Cause have a never found a boyfriend", she lies.

"Am here can be your boyfriend I don't mind", he winks at her. 

"Aaah I just come here to have a simple conversation", she wasn't comfortable with how he was staring at her. 

"Oooh fine. So you have now won the bet right...?" He just had to inform her that he heard everything they were talking about. 

"You heard us talking. Shit... this is embarrassing", Cat smiles faintly at him embarrassed. She wished to vanish in that instant to get away from him and her crazy friends. 

"Nah I don't mind. Your such a pretty girl ain't offended", he smirks at her. She tries to catch her breath as he moved more closer to her. 

"You can call me later. I have to go pretty girl", he says giving her his business card.

"Oooh, what just happened. Did he walk away", Brianna asks.

"No, he said he had to go somewhere. He gave me his business card", she shows her the card in her hand. 

"Wow... He even gave you his business card. I think that guy likes you. You just did it", Zack mentioned. 

"Did what...", Cat pretends to not know what he was referring to. She was also happy that he didn't turn her down. 

"You secured your first boyfriend", Brianna answers. She had always pestered her to have a boyfriend. Now that the chance to have one emerged. She tried her best to make her have a first boyfriend. 

"Hell no, you are exaggerating everything. That guy knows you pushed me to do it. So I can't say he will be my boyfriend later. I don't even want a boyfriend now", Cat points out.

"Bring that card now", Brianna commands her taking the card by force. "We will reach out like a week from now. Maybe he's your prince charming". 

"Tell her... better to try", Zack backed her up. 

"Oooh no, what's up with you guys. I don't want any prince charming", She frowns at them. 

"Don't say you didn't like him. He's a cutie", Brianna mentions. She was pretty determined to see Cat in a relationship soon. 

"Yes he's cute but haven't crushed on him", she states. 

"So you view him as your bro like I....", Zack chuckles. 

"Yes like my big brother", She nods. She thought they were just exaggerating everything. The guy just gave her his card nothing more.
