2 Vol1 Chapter 2: Kimura Shin

[December 27, 10:29am]

The door opened.. The old geezer was seen smiling warmly at him. "Can I come in?" The old geezer didn't wait for his response and made his way inside the room.

"Eeeckk!" The old man covered his body with a towel and started shivering because of the cold surrounding the whole room "What are you doing? Close the windows young man! Do youngsters these days love the cold?"

The boy closed the windows obediently.

"Anyways, what is your name young man?" The old man asked

Recieving no response, the old man laughed "Haha.. I haven't introduced myself yet but I'm already asking for your name? Where are my manners? My name is Kimura Eijiro! What about yours?"

The boy still didn't answer him which confused old Kimura, "Can you speak young man?"

"Hhm.. I-I don't know my name" He finally spoke!

"Huh? You don't know your name? Did you forgot? How can someone forget their own name? Or maybe.."

"I don't remember anything.. I just.. woke up there"

"By 'there', do you mean in the forest?"

"Yes"

Old Kimura didn't know what to say.. At first he thought that the boy was lying to him but soon, he realized that, that might not be the case because just by looking at the young man's eyes, he could tell that he wasn't bluffing.

"Hhm.. So what am I supposed to do with you young man?"

"I don't know.. Maybe throw me out?"

Old Kimura's right! If this young man lied so he could stay in his house then why would he tell old Kimura to just maybe throw him out?

Old Kimura stayed quiet for a while before sitting down on a chair near the table. He looked at the young man from his hair to his toes.. 'He's quite handsome isn't he? His body structure is also great.. I can tell that he's an amazing fighter or.. a mage?'

'He's blessed and there's only 1 academy here that trains blessed people like him. But before that, I should make sure that he's really blessed right? I don't doubt my eyes but.. '

"You are blessed right child? Can you show me your ability?"

The young man nodded his head in reponse. He looked at the pillow on the bed which confused old Kimura. Old Kimura moved his head and looked at the pillow as well.

'What is he trying to do?'

The pillow suddenly exploded! It happened so fast that Old Kimura needed a few minutes to realize what just happened. Old Kimura didn't know what the boy did and all of a sudden, old kimura's eyes turned blue and his pupils were gone.

As soon as he did that, he was able to see black particles around the boy. He also saw a strange black aura surrounding the whole room! Old Kimura immediately closed his eyes and tried to digest what he just saw. He was sweating.. Not because he used a lot of mana but because he got scared!

Frightened by the amount of power he saw! Not just that, he felt like the aura he saw will get bigger in the future. He sighed and imagined how terriyfing it would be if the pillow that exploded because of the young man wasn't a pillow but an actual living thing.

Old Kimura was forced to surppress the anxiety he felt. He gulped his dry saliva and tried to look at the young boy in the eye but failed because, earlier, he felt like he was starring right into the endless void and he didn't want to feel that feeling again.

Old Kimura looked down and asked "So, why do you look a little sad?"

"Sad..?"

The young man's voice was soft, low and calm however, it was cold and horrifying.

"W-Well yeah, you look a little bit sad" Old Kimura stood up and walked towards the door

"Hhm.. Maybe because of the guy on the tree"

"Huh ??"

"He was getting laughed at. I thought everybody should respect each other?"

"Oh" Old Kimura sighed as he approach the window where the young boy stood. The guy on the tree immediately caught his attention. "Sigh, not all people gets respected especially if you're the weak one of the bunch."

"..?"

"You see, that guy is Okumura Fumio. He's quite famous for being able to make someone float in the air with his mind. It's similar to Telekinesis but it's not excatly the same. Well, Telekinesis is the ability to move objects or change it's shape only using the mind but in Okumura's case, he can only make something float for a short time and on top of that, he can't control it."

"Telekinesis allows the user to move objects and control it but Okumura can't do that. He can only make them float for a very.. very short time and sometimes if an object's mass is too much, he couldn't even make it float. He's blessed but he can't use his ability well which made him the laughing stock" Old Kimura continued

The young man stayed quiet

"Oh!" Old Kimura shifted his gaze from the window to the young man but he didn't looked at his eyes directly "I finally figured out what to do with you young man!"

"Hhm..?"

"Let's say that you're my grandson and since you're blessed and I've seen your ability, you'll have to go to the school with other blessed! We'll just have to wait for spring to come so I can introduce you to everyone."

"Introduce me when I don't even have a name..?"

"Oh right! I completely forgot about that young man. Well since everyone will soon see you as a grandson of mine, then you should have my family name! The only problem now is your first name. Hhm.."

After thinking for a while, Old Kimura spoke "What about Shin?"

The young man's aura is very deadly so Old Kimura thought of the word 'Shi' which means death but he can't just call him death right? So he added 'n' at the end and got the name Shin.

"Kimura Shin" The young man murmured "That sounds bad"

"What!?" Old Kimura said with a surprised face "It doesn't sound bad okay!? Uh whatever.. You're name is Kimura Shin from now on"

Old Kimura sighed and went towards the door, "Come down and eat Shin" He said before leaving the room

Shin looked at the boy on the tree again before also leaving the room.

Shin ate his lunch and after that, he sneak out of the house and ran.. The weird thing is that, no one noticed his presence as if he's using the skill stealth even though he wasn't.

He reached the group of guys making fun of the man on top of the tree in no time. It was cold outside but he didn't mind.. he wasn't even wearing a jacket.

Okumura was still on the tree holding for his dear life when Shin got there. The guys got surprised to see him but they didn't mind him that much because they thought he was there to laugh at Okumura as well.

"I can't believe you guys stayed here for more than an hour laughing at him. I guess boredom can get you anywhere.."

"Such worthless people.. no wonder all you can do is cause trouble" Shin looked at the guys without a single emotion

"Did you just call us worthless!?"

"How dare he..!?"

Okumura shivered "H-Hey you down there! You should jist leave before they.. do this to you too!"

"Hey keep your mouth shut!" A man with leather armor shouted at Okumura before facing Shin

"Who even are you kid?"

"I'll give you a 3 seconds to run but if you don't, you're gonna go home dead"

The guys prepared their weapons while the guy on the middle with spiky hair and ripped clothes started counting
