"Open the door now, Yulin!! You're so dead today!" Li Rou shouted through the door.

Most of the time, visitors weren't allowed to come up by themselves in Secret Sanctuary. But ever since Bai Yulin lived together with Ji Haishan, he had put Li Rou's name as one of the privilege members who could visit whenever she wanted.

This was so that Bai Yulin's work wouldn't be hindered with the troublesome security at Secret Sanctuary. And she could meet her manager everytime they needed to discuss things.

"Come out or I'll skin you alive, Yulin!! Don't forget I have a black belt!" Li Rou exclaimed in anger. Thick veins popping out of her forehead.

Ji Haishan struggled to open the door but he eventually managed. Behind him, Bai Yulin was no longer in sight as she had escaped early on. She left him alone to deal with Li Rou while she had her girly retreat.

"Ms. Li- no I mean, Rou.." Ji Haishan forced a smile. Beads of sweat were beginning to form on his skin.

Li Rou managed to hear his slip of tongue and she smiled. One where it didn't reach her eyes.

"Oh..? So you're calling me Ms. Li now? Why so formal? You finally remember that I'm not just your friend but your manager too?!" her voice boomed through the entire hallway.

Ji Haishan gasped and frantically craned his neck outside to look left and right. He needed to make sure Li Rou wasn't being too loud since his neighbors might hear her.

Even if Premium residents had their condo units far from one another, Li Rou's voice was too loud and it could even pass across the street!

Li Rou stared at 'Bai Yulin' as she tapped her foot impatiently. Then she sneered "So you're checking if I'm being too loud? Well screw that since I'll give you the meaning of 'loud'!!!"

Ji Haishan balled his hands into fists to hold himself back from lashing out at Li Rou. He had to endure and remind himself that he was acting as Bai Yulin. His smile was strained and his face muscle was starting to hurt from clenching his jaw tightly.

He was never a very patient man but he surprised himself by taking in all of Li Rou's anger into deaf ear.

'I'm going to make you pay, Bai Yulin!' he swore to himself.

"Well, you're not going to invite me in? Or you want us to fight here in front of the door?" Li Rou glared at Ji Haishan and he instinctively bobbed his head vigorously.

He almost shrieked due to a reflexive fear in Bai Yulin's body.

When they were seated in the living room with Li Rou across him, she didn't even beat around the bush and begin her lecture.

"Your bold act has caused nothing but a pain in my ass, Yulin." she started. Even her mannerisms while talking had changed.

"Why didn't you discuss with me first? Look- I know I can't dictate your relationship with young master Ji. I was supportive of you. But what about the agency? You should know that you're a contracted model under the agency! They're demanding me answers as to why I never brought this up to the higher-ups!" Li Rou huffed her displeasure in one breath. Her voice was laced in frustration and even disappointment.

Ji Haishan stayed silent but he was listening to Li Rou very intently. He didn't know how to react and just utter a word of apology.

"Sorry? You think I can forgive you when you went around telling others your relationship? That too without consulting with me first?" Li Rou heaved up a heavy sigh.

"I was called in to give an explanation to the top brass about those massive amount of comments on Weibo about you and young master Ji. I didn't know what to explain because your interview with Time Line was five days ago! You decided to announce your relationship five freaking days ago, Yulin! And during these last few days, you never told me about it?! Even when you obviously had a chance to?!"

Ji Haishan pursed his lips and forced himself to eat everything that was thrown at him. He never thought that Li Rou could be this angry. He was busy with arranging his PR statement that he even forgot to ask Bai Yulin regarding her own countermeasure.

He realized Bai Yulin could be a scatterbrained at times and he regretted not asking her about it. At that time, he just thought that they should immediately fulfill the penalty within the time limit. And he unfortunately got careless.

Ji Haishan could understand Li Rou's point and why she was so angry. She had to be the one to face the higher-ups because of Bai Yulin's unprecedented action. Where in this case, she was kept in the dark about Bai Yulin's decision to reveal her dating status until the last minute.

"I'm sorry, Rou.. I forgot.. I really forgot to tell you about it. Please forgive me." Ji Haishan tried to pacify Li Rou as much as he could. He hoped she would soften up faster.

"So that's your excuse, I see.." Li Rou nodded dryly and put one leg over another, crossing them in a dominant stance.

Ji Haishan chose to stay silent again and put his head down, gazing at his own feet and making himself look pitiful. If only he didn't forget to plan things out in correct order, then Li Rou wouldn't be so angry with Bai Yulin now. He somehow felt he was also at fault.

Now that he thought about it, this revelation was supposed to be a penalty from the paper doll. He should've known better. A penalty was a penalty! There was nothing easy about it!

Now that the higher-ups were angry at Li Rou, she was being bitter about it and couldn't seem to find a solution. She had always reminded Bai Yulin to take care of her image and actions but Bai Yulin usually wouldn't listen or would just forget.

Ji Haishan recalled about Bai Yulin's modelling agency as he racked through his memory. If he wasn't mistaken, it was one of the big three modelling agencies in the country.

It was a prosperous company which had nurtured many talented models in the international level. And Bai Yulin was one of their biggest assets for the current years since her debut.

If only he could make a phone call right now, then he would personally strike a deal with the agency's director. Or if he was lucky, he could just purchase the whole company and put it under Ji Group as one of his subsidiaries.
