"So how's your study?" Ji Zhang inquired. His old wrinkled face was lit up by a small smile. The three of them were having a good time chatting with snacks and tea.

"It's going well. I've submitted my research papers and I'm just waiting for graduation now." Ji Xia answered before she continued.

"And Ke Mu's been helping as well since he has graduated eight months ago." she said.

"Yeah, I don't want to leave jiejie alone in Toronto. Who knows if she wasn't finishing her thesis and was playing around instead? So I acted as her watch guard." Ji Ke Mu said smugly.

Ji Xia eyed her brother and pursed her lips. How dare he assumed that she wouldn't be studying?

"Anyway, jiejie really did take so long just to finish her thesis and I bet- ouch!!" Ji Xia stomped on Ji Ke Mu's foot before he could even continue.

He turned to face her with a glare but she didn't give him a chance to retaliate. She pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes dangerously. Ji Ke Mu instinctively gulped down his own spew and stopped whatever his complain was.

His plan to piss her off seemed to backfire so he just shut himself up.

The patriarch stared at the two with gentleness in his eyes. These two twins were troublemakers when they were young. Who would have thought that they would grow up into fine adults responsible for their own education and life?

He still remembered that one time when Ji Ke Mu had skipped school for a whole month straight. He was hanging out with some older punk guys who were also gangsters. It created such a mess in the school that it brought shame to the Ji family name.

Thankfully, Ji Ke Mu wasn't involved with drugs or something dangerous. He was just in his teenage rebellious phase. He had been lonely because of the divorce between Ji Ye Qiu and his wife.

Ji Ke Mu and Ji Xia were both 11 years old at that time. And Ji Haishan was 13. It was three years after Ji Haishan became a household member of Ji family. So he and the twins weren't that close yet.

After that incident, Ji Ke Mu was grounded in his room and he wasn't allowed to go out for a few weeks. During that time, he would always sneak out at night and accidentally saw Ji Haishan in the kitchen.

The young Ji Haishan during that time, was practicing cooking late at night. The butler and the maids were sleeping so he used that opportunity to execute his cooking without anyone interfering.

Ji Ke Mu was always acting skeptical around Ji Haishan because his father Ji Ye Qiu, told him not to associate with an outsider like him. He was merely following his father's order.

But after that one night when he saw Ji Haishan cooking, Ji Ke Mu couldn't stop himself but get closer to him. Ji Haishan was cold at first, but he later warmed up towards his new cousin.

For the first time in three years, they finally had a decent conversation together. Soon, Ji Xia also followed. The three of them became inseparable ever since.

Little did the twins know that after Ji Haishan's father Lu Muxing, married into the Ji family, he had so little time to spare with his own son. He was always glued to his new wife, Ji Ye Ran. He was crazily whipped.

It made Ji Haishan feel left out by the only real family member he had. So his first three years of living in Ji mansion wasn't exactly good. Thank goodness he finally made friends with Ji Xia and Ji Ke Mu.

"Ke Mu, have you met Haishan in the company?" the patriarch suddenly asked out of nowhere.

Ji Xia looked at the old man whose smile was now gone with the mention of Ji Haishan. Instead, his face showed longing and mild guilt.

Her heart clenched when she saw the expression of her grandfather that she loved so much. Despite her having her own incarnation's memories back, it didn't mean that living as Ji Xia was fake. She was now two, Athena and Ji Xia. And neither was any better than the other.

Ji Ke Mu also felt the same. This life was real and it was a totally different world than the land of Eden. Their reincarnation bodies lived here as themselves and they weren't bound by the past and any other world line.

So his original feelings as Ji Ke Mu was still alive despite having recovered his memories as Hephaestus, the god of fire. He loved his grandfather just the same.

Ji Xia and Ji Ke Mu were nothing more but mortals now. And their feelings and attachments towards this world were justified.

"Yes, we met at the company during the meeting. And we're going to have a welcoming party for me this Sunday." Ji Ke Mu answered honestly. He saw how the old man raise his brows in anticipation after hearing about the party.

It made Ji Ke Mu feel like asking "Do you want to show yourself at the party, grandpa?"

The patriarch himself was surprised by the question so he quickly shook his head, denying his grandson. How could he appear at the welcoming party of a new vice president? It could create misunderstanding that he was now backing Ji Ke Mu instead of Ji Haishan.

He knew how much gossipy the entire high management was. If words got towards the fellow board members, they might as well create another unnecessary internal feud.

"I'll stay home, Ke Mu. An old man like me doesn't need to go out often." Ji Zhang said dully. If he was disappointed, he didn't show it.

If it was the normal Ji Xia and Ji Ke Mu without their memories, then they would have believed the old man. But now that they remembered themselves as gods of Olympus, they could easily tell lies from truth.

Ji Ke Mu swiftly stole a glance towards his sister, seemingly lost every idea. It was obvious how sad the patriarch was when he couldn't see Ji Haishan.

Ji Xia stayed silent for a while, trying to cook up some good plots. Then she suddenly seemed to have a great idea.

"Grandpa, we've been abroad for so long so I think I want to invite gege for lunch next week. I missed him." Ji Xia smiled sweetly towards the old man.

"Yeah! That's true. I've asked gege for dinner tonight but he said he was busy. So he told me he'll join us next week!" Ji Ke Mu lied.

Ji Zhang's face immediately lit up again after hearing form his grandchildren. He obviously was looking forward to it. Both Ji Xia and Ji Ke Mu eyed each other knowingly. They planned to drag Ji Haishan here next week no matter his excuses!
