"Hey, what is it?" his voice turned mellow and soft, as if he didn't want to upset her.

Ji Haishan touched Bai Yulin's cheeks and made her face him in the eye. The doll was nowhere in sight. It sure was fast whenever it ran away.

"I'll never let us be recognized as siblings or a pair of god-forsaken parent and child." he told in which made her stiffle a laugh.

"I hope you can trust me that it's better for us to love each other openly. Don't you want to date me outside like a normal couple?" Ji Haishan's words made Bai Yulin think again.

There was logic in his words and the way his eyes were staring into her said that he wouldn't regret it.

Bai Yulin bit the inside of her cheek and Ji Haishan faked a frown.

"Don't do that. It's cute and not like me." he teased.

"Then what's like you?" she chuckled lowly as she grinned. Her mood became better instantly.

Then Ji Haishan heard her say with sigh "I don't want others to look down on you, Ji Haishan. You're a great man and I'm just a nobody."

Ji Haishan narrowed his eyes and glared at her "Never say that again, Bai Yulin. I hate that."

"But it's true! I'm just a normal woman who's lucky to make a breakthrough as a model." Ji Haishan rolled his eyes at her words.

"Where's the bold and beautiful supermodel that I know? Where's that woman who always get what she wants and is always out teasing me however she likes?" he said in a scolding tone. His voice was a bit cold which was enough to wake her up from her stupid insecurity.

"I want that Bai Yulin back. That woman who always crosses the line with a powerful man like me yet is still able to live to see tomorrow." Bai Yulin bursted into a laugh so hard her eyes watered.

She scowled at him for the blunt teasing but her laughter didn't subside. Bai Yulin thought that she fell in love with him again at that moment. There was truth in his words and she couldn't deny it.

"Okay.. I'm sorry. You're right." she nodded as her smile widened. He could practically see her oozing in confidence, contrary to her initial reaction.

Her aura was changing and it made her appear quite daring. Bai Yulin put her arms around Ji Haishan's back and hugged him close.

She then thanked him for his quick encouraging speech at which he just scoffed and made a you-should-thank-me face.

"Cheeky." she pinched on his shoulder and he jumped.

"Don't use so much force! This body of yours is delicate!" he whined.

Underneath Ji Haishan's stern expression, he was glad that Bai Yulin wasn't in too deep into her own dilemma. She was quick to stand back up. And he liked that about her.

Then they kissed again for some time before they parted. Smiles and animation flowers were literally blooming behind them as background.

"I like you, Ji Haishan.. but now I think I'm falling in love too." Bai Yulin whispered in a low voice. Too low but still audible.

Ji Haishan heard her and his heart skipped a couple of beats. He didn't know what to do but just hugged her even tighter.

He didn't reply as he slowly buried his face on her chest. Again, he hated to do a feminine role like this but he didn't want to do nothing at the same time.

Bai Yulin's heart was in a great tremor when Ji Haishan acted as if he was also on the same page as her. She could die happy if he one day told her that he loved her.

The two of them knew the difference between like and love. It brought so much difference and it should be treated as sacred. They shouldn't rush but they should work for it.

Bai Yulin and Ji Haishan just smiled within their embrace. It felt great to just stay silent and not say a word while feeling content.

Suddenly, there was a phone call that brought them out of their stupor. Ji Haishan looked around and said "It's yours."

Bai Yulin reached for her phone and saw that it was Li Rou. She immediately gave it to Ji Haishan as he cleared his throat to answer. He knew everytime she called, it would be about another project and he had to know the details.

"Hello?" he picked the call up.

"Yulin, it's been so long! I'm sorry for not calling you these days." she sounded happy from the other side and Ji Haishan just proceeded to greet her normally.

"I've been busy trying to clear and patch up your schedules. So now you're ready for your next job!" Li Rou exclaimed.

Ji Haishan pretended to pay attention but he already knew everything about Bai Yulin's new schedule from his assistant.

"So tomorrow morning.. you're going to shoot for a cosmetics company under Ji Group. It's for a new makeup foundation that will launch next month." Li Rou explained.

There was a rustling of paper when she added "And then on the afternoon.. I've set you up for a simple interview for our local fashion magazine. You're going to be the cover girl."

Ji Haishan's eyes widened as he didn't have any idea regarding this one.

Li Rou then said "I'm sorry for not asking you first about this one but because we have to cancel that variety show with Qin Ling Zhi, I have to make sure you appear on a different channel for an interview. People were saddened because you didn't appear on that show, you know.."

Bai Yulin who was listening in nodded in understanding. She knew how hard it was for Li Rou to make people notice her and make her name sensational for all time.

Being a model didn't require much publicity like pop stars or artists, but due to her popularity within the fashion industry, Bai Yulin was already counted as a celebrity. A person whom people would recognize when she walked on the street.

She had to maintain this publicity in order to gain more fame in her career as a model.

Before hanging up, Li Rou reminded 'Bai Yulin' to appear on the lobby right on time. She warned her if she still wasn't there at 8 a.m in the morning, then Li Rou would leave her behind. She wouldn't be as forgiving as before.

Ji Haishan winced when he recalled it was his fault that Li Rou was so angry the last time. Thank goodness they still made it for the perfume photoshoot. Bai Yulin who stood beside him, eyed him as if she also wanted to scold him for the same reason.

Suddenly, another ringing made them turn their faces to look at the source and it actually came from Ji Haishan's phone. To be exact, it was his business phone that he kept around.
