The birth of the goddess of harmony was one special day for Ares and Aphrodite. Their first child was a girl and she was very cute. Harmonia was given everything including love, care, and attention.

Many congratulated Ares and Aphrodite for their happiness but no one knew on the inside, they were seething with envy and jealousy for the couple.

Ares was a very influential god of war. He held a stronghold and was favored by Zeus. While Aphrodite was always in Zeus' care ever since she was young. Zeus liked her attitude and genuinely wanted to protect her.

These reasons prompted other gods and goddesses to not present so much favor towards Ares and Aphrodite even though they already became a sensational couple throughout the land.

Despite that, Ares and Aphrodite didn't care much for other's opinions. They believed they didn't need to live off others stupid thoughts. They were just happy with their little family.

A few years passed by normally and one day, when Zeus was sleeping inside his chamber. He was greeted by Aphrodite in his dream. The goddess he saw in his dream was a little different from the usual Aphrodite.

Instead of wearing white, she wore black. And her eye color was red, not green. Her appearance alarmed Zeus at cross point and he was startled awake when she said something to him in a sweet whisper.

Hera was by his side the entire time as she asked him "What's wrong, my dear chief of gods?"

Zeus shook his head lightly as he sat with his back facing the wall. His brows creased into a frown.

"I had a dream." he said, a subtle frown marred his face.

Hera the queen, was instantly surprised when she heard him and she offered herself to look into his subconsciousness. When she did so, she was surprised that she couldn't find any trace of magic.

Zeus was the most powerful of gods. It was hard- no, it was impossible for others to invade his mind and appear in his dream. Such thing never happened and if it did, it was a bad sign.

"I don't see anything, Zeus." Hera told him, slightly worried.

Zeus was perturbed as he told Hera "I also don't remember what I saw."

"Then what should we do?"

Zeus might be acting vigilant, but he wasn't worried. He told Hera to be careful for every miniscule of changes in the palace and she nodded.

They were afraid that it was one of the enemy nation's schemes to subdue them.

Zeus stood up from the bed as he said "I'll summon Ares to ask him to check on the borderlands."

Hera heard his voice which was full of conviction as she nodded. He then walked out of the chamber slowly, making his way towards the grand hall. His steps were heavy and other gods in the vicinity couldn't help but hold their breath.

His thoughts were complicated. He could swear he was dreaming of someone just now but as soon as he woke up, he didn't remember a thing.

Was such thing possible?

Meanwhile, in the underground Holy Temple of Fate. Clotho was suddenly awoken by the sound of cutting scissors from her sister, Atropos. She turned around immediately, looking utterly confused.

Lachesis nudged her and made a gesture, asking her what was wrong. Clotho didn't know what was going on either. She felt that she was trapped in a long dream just now.

But that should be impossible.

Because the three sisters of Fate didn't sleep.

They never rested and halted their duty in threading fate for mortals and gods.

So what was she doing just now..?

Why didn't she notice anything? Why couldn't she remember the details?

Clotho turned to look at the distaff in her hands and then her eyes trailed over the working spindle. The thread was normal. Everything else was ordinary. She also couldn't detect any trace of magic from anywhere.

Despite feeling a bit unbridled, Clotho still decided to not think too much of it. Perhaps she was just daydreaming about something and she forgot what it was in the first place.

This was her very first mistake that she did in her entire life as the "spinner".

Moments later, Ares arrived at the grand hall shortly after being called. His aura himself wasn't less prominent than Zeus. It was thick with murderous intent but mild enough to go unnoticed by those who weren't paying attention.

He was adorning a dark grey robe. His long hair fluttered with every step he took. He tied his hair into a crooked ponytail, making him look less intimidating and a bit carefree.

It was obvious that he was now very happy with his life.

He greeted Zeus with formality and the leader nodded at him. Then Zeus told Ares the reason for his call. Ares acknowledged Zeus easily as he said that he would be extra attentive towards the movements at the border.

After that, Zeus sighed and smiled a little. He asked Ares about Aphrodite. Ares didn't smile while talking but Zeus could hear how he changed his tone when talking about the woman he loved.

"She's the same as usual." he said.

"Harmonia is creating a ruckus since she's getting two baby brothers." added Ares.

Zeus liked the way Ares talk about his family. He didn't say much but his eyes were honest. Even if others couldn't see past his cold exterior, Zeus could. He knew how much Ares loved his family. He wasn't a detached person. He was instead very sensitive and compassionate.

Others were too judgemental just because Ares and Aphrodite were a little different.

"You may go, Ares." Zeus ordered.

"Thank you." Ares bowed a little and then he went away.

When Ares was no longer within his line of sight, Zeus heaved up a sigh. He hoped his dream earlier wasn't bringing bad luck to Olympus.

But oh he was so wrong.

It indeed brought bad luck, worse- a calamity.

But this calamity didn't come like a sudden storming tornado. Instead, it was nurtured slowly.. and carefully. Without anybody knowing.

Without anybody noticing..

Time passed again for dozens of years later. Harmonia got two twin brothers named Deimos and Phobos. These two were the gods of fear. Deimos could be called as the personified spirit of dread and terror while his brother Phobos instilled panic, flight, and rout.

Harmonia being the goddess of harmony, naturally wouldn't get along well with her brothers. Their power was far too different and their personality was dissimilar.

She also didn't know how to act around them since they would always tease her and make her uncomfortable. At one point, she thought they hated her.

They didn't have the best of siblings bond even until they matured past 100 years old. Until one fateful day, Harmonia was walking alone near the palace when she heard a commotion right in front of her.

She decided to go take a look since she was a goddess of harmony. Perhaps she could make them stop fighting by using her spell.

But she stopped in her track when she realized it was Phobos and Deimos who were fighting with another brash gods.

"Don't you dare insult my elder sister again, you f*cker!" Deimos spat.

Then his twin added with fury "If I hear you talking shit about my family again- I'll kill you!"

Harmonia didn't even get to step in because the fight was actually over right then and there. Deimos and Phobos hit the others without holding back and they were all bruised from head to toe. It was an easy win for the two of them.

And when the twin brothers turned around, they gasped in fright. Harmonia was standing there looking at them. She looked equally surprised.
