Heartbeats later, Bai Yulin began to get very awkward. She didn't ask Ji Haishan first but just held hand together. So, she decided it was enough and wanted to create a distance.

But she was surprised when he held her hand back. He didn't want her to let go. Bai Yulin's face was becoming redder as she bit her bottom lip, not trying to smile. She was secretly happy.

Ji Haishan on the other hand, looked away from her because he also couldn't stop himself from blushing. He didn't know why when he became a woman, his face always got to show his real thoughts. It was a stupid disadvantage!

Ji Haishan turned his small back on Bai Yulin but still maintaining a closer distance from before. Widening her eyes, Bai Yulin was slightly giddy inside. She decided it wouldn't be too bad if they could snuggle.

So, Bai Yulin pulled Ji Haishan closer and their bodies touched. His back was in contact with her chest. Bai Yulin then sighed a breather as if she was satisfied and then she put her chin on his head. She marveled on how tall Ji Haishan's original body was that she could easily do this.

Ji Haishan himself was acting like a statue. He didn't want to let go but at the same time, he didn't know what to do. It looked as if he was the fair maiden in this skinship so his pride was wounded a little bit.

Yet, when he found how comfortable he was nestled in Bai Yulin's strong arms, he began to wonder if this was fine.

Nah.. just for a bit more.. he thought.

The two of them closed their eyes. Both lost in their own thoughts about their newfound feelings.

They didn't know how to approach their feelings at all. For Bai Yulin, she was a complete novice in this area. All she knew about romance was in those K-dramas she had watched. But none of those K-dramas were going to be helpful in her situation.

For Ji Haishan, he was also a total beginner. He hated women since his teenage years. His hatred kept on building more and more everytime he remembered what happened to his father.

He was also skeptical..

What if his feelings didn't get the reciprocation that he so hoped?

If that happened, his heart that was starting to beat for a woman would definitely break into tiny little pieces..

He knew he was a golden bachelor, a man every woman could ever dream of. A rich and handsome specimen. But he knew Bai Yulin wouldn't act the same as those other women. She was different.

"Ji Haishan." Bai Yulin called his name.

He was startled but tried to appear calm "Ah- yeah..?"

"I'm curious.. how did you come back so fast?"

Ji Haishan raised his brow and asked "What do you mean?"

"The distance between the set for the photoshoot and Secret Sanctuary isn't that far, but it's not close either. You came back first of all people."

Ji Haishan narrowed his eyes considerably, he finally remembered what he went through before he arrived at the storage room!

But before he could speak, the familiar paper particles appeared. With its small pieces disappearing, came the stickman-like paper doll.

*Party A and party B, you two are alright!*

The doll sounded somewhat relieved and it was jumping in joy.

Bai Yulin was the happiest person to see the doll. The miracle it spoke of really did happen! Ji Haishan really appeared right after she counted to ten.

"Thank you, stickman!" Bai Yulin thanked the doll and it bounced again. This time, more aggressively.

"Oh yeah, I remember myself just arriving in the complex lobby. But then suddenly I appeared somewhere else. In front of the storage door." Ji Haishan muttered as he knitted his brows. He looked at the doll as if asking for explanation.

He thought he was hallucinating. He thought he just ran too fast that he couldn't see exactly where he went.

*Party A and B! That was the miracle I was talking about!* said the doll.

"What do you mean?" asked Bai Yulin, bewildered.

*I told party B to count to 10 so that it would act as a magic checkpoint!*

*Then, when it finally reached to 10, party A was transferred through my magic and appeared right in front of the checkpoint place!*

*That counting was an emergency spell!*

Both Ji Haishan and Bai Yulin gaped.

So that was magic?!

No wonder the next moment he blinked his eyes, he was suddenly in front of a door. Even the Ji family bodyguards that Gao Li Bai had assigned to check the whole area couldn't arrive sooner.

"That's.. um.." Bai Yulin looked down to see Ji Haishan's reaction while he also looked up to see her face.

At this moment, they both realized they were still in such intimate position! She with her chin on top of his head while he with his body close to her chest.

"Waaah!"

"Woahhh!"

They scrambled to find a hole to fit in. Unfortunately, there were none in the VVIP room.

With a red face, Ji Haishan tried to cough and clear his throat. As an indication that he wasn't embarrassed. Bai Yulin also did the same and they both couldn't face the other.

The stickman-like doll stared at them with wide eyes as if realization finally hit itself. It noticed the way these two act around each other. As if they were comfortable with their tiny distance but were still embarrassed to admit it.

*Now that both parties are fine and there is no threat against you, I will be announcing the next task tomorrow!*

"Tomorrow? Not today?"

"I thought you would give us another task right away."

*Please don't take me as an inconsiderate doll! You two still need to rest so I will delay the task until tomorrow!*

Both Ji Haishan and Bai Yulin were in complete wonder. They looked as if they couldn't believe this doll's words. How did it suddenly become so compassionate?

*So please don't worry about the task! Until then!*

The doll disappeared as fast as it came. The two looked at each other in silence and the awkwardness ensued again.

"..."

"..."

After realizing their feelings for each other, these two couldn't sit still and they became self-conscious. It was hard to maintain a proper conversation.

"Um.."

"Well.."

They both spoke at the same time.

"Ah, you first."

"No, please go ahead."

Silence blanketed the entire room..
