40 40. Someone to protect
Andrea saw the news of David press conference in front of his apartment, the day after David called her and tells her that he is very sorry that he can't have a further relationship with Lyla, he hopes his mom does not give any hope to her aunt as well.
She calls Cindy and apologised for what happens and hope that Lyla could find someone better than David. Cindy makes sure that it is okay and she didn't have to worry about that. Cindy told Andrea that it may be for the best. Honestly, Cindy said she did not know Lyla very well.
Andrea glad Cindy has no problem with the news. She's hoping David and Gea could be together, but Gea text that she is will be unreachable for this week. Andrea thought she needs to talk to Deena to sort any further misunderstanding than talk to Dave as well, to see if there is a possibility for those two to be together.
Pick her phone to call Deena, she saw the incoming message from her.
[Mom, I'll be there shortly...], the message was sent 45 minutes ago.
Andrea was getting up from the chair when she heard someone open the front door.
"Mom... mom. I am here!" Deena starts to look for her mother as soon as she opens the door.
" I am here" Andrea answer Deena call while walking to the kitchen.
" I need to have my meal on time if I do not want Gea or David nagging me if they found out" Andrea giggle by imagining the two naggings together.
Deena giggle as well as hear her mother say so
"Aren't you say Gea will be out of contact for a whole week" Deena ask
"Yes, that's what she text me, she said there are things she needs to deal with that make she was not reachable either by text or call," Andrea said
"At least she was okay, that's great" Deena assured Andrea Gea's fine, she might have to deal with one of her clients that requires full attention.
"And, David?.. He calls you almost every day but rarely to call me" Deena pout her mouth
"Yes, he calls me last night, said there a lot of things going on, so he will try to call me whenever he has time. He does not call you cause he knows I'll update you about him the way I updated you to him as well" Andrea pinch Deena's nose
"And why don't you give him a call if he does not call you" They both laughed at Andrea words
"Do you watch the news this morning, about David press conference?" Deena asked her mother
"Yes, I do, I even talk about this with him last night and he asked me to not drag this matter any further". Andrea explained to Deena
" But mom he never confronted this kind of news before, is he still expecting Gea would accept his feelings, can't he see the connection between Dave and Gea, they are inseparable from each other" Deena voice almost hopeless
She loves her brother a lot, from what she saw Gea and Dave are close, their bond seems strong. She does not want David to be hurt coz she never saw her brother like this with another woman.
The way he looks at Gea, treat her, holding up himself and how he behaved himself in front of Gea. Deena knows his fall deeply for her and it aches her heart that his brother may lose and hurt deeply at the end.
"Gea and Dave are siblings by blood, they were separated by some unfortunate event, they just found out and only have each other, as you know Gea parents already dead." Andrea shock Deena with the news"
"Really, who told you?" Deena asked her mom
"Gea told me, and she was hoping if Dave and Ava's relationship moves forward. I'll be representing their parents as David Foster parent already passed away as well". Andrea assured Deena
" That's great news Mom" Deena took her mother hand and hold them with her hand... luckily Andrea just finished her meal
"Not the part that both they're real parents, and David Foster, parents already passed away" Deena continue to talk
"Yes, I was wondering if David knew it as well, I planned to call Dave and asked him to talk to David" Andrea share her thoughts
"No, Mom I am sure David knows it, if not he won't bother to make a press conference explained his relationship with, Lyla," Deena ask her mother not to call Dave because she is sure David knows it
"Your Son loves you, me and my family a lot, but he knows we are way past those kinds of news or gossip. We won't be bothered by those things. He also a logical and businessman who won't let anything that brings fortunes to his company got away. He's doing this because there is someone who he needs to protect, someone that he knew he still has a chance, yet still can't figure out how she would react, thus he tried to prevent anything that could make him lose his fight." Deena knows her brother very well
"Oh God, Mom he already falling in love with Gea, and he's falling deep" Deena talk anxiously
She's happy for her brother and hoping things would work for better coz she does not know what kind of storm they would face if Gea does not accept his feelings
Both women do not need any further words, they understand what each other thinking.
They hug each other and pray for a favourable time, event and opportunities for David to be able to get together with Gea.
