38 38. They need each other

David morning was not peaceful at all, he needs to deal with several meetings that can not be postponed, he put extra effort to stay focused on his work and It was good enough considered he could pass the morning smoothly without having his mind drifted away.

He asked Edward to bring his lunch, he needs to finish early, he wanted to meet with Dave as soon as possible, he's not sure if he could bring back his sanity dealing with work after meeting with Dave, therefore, he's eager to complete his work.

David took a deep breath and calls Edward to be in his room.

" I am done finally, you guys can go home now" David glad he finishes everything now

"I already released Ava and Anna around 8:00 PM. you want to grab some food?"

"What, what time is it now?"

"It's 09:30 PM"

David was surprised, he thought it still around 07:00 PM or at least 08:00 PM. Took a deep breath he talks to Edward

"How is my schedule for tomorrow?"

Edward sigh undetectable "Your schedule was full till Thursday... you still have a casual meeting on Friday morning though, it's just building some connection."

"Okay, you can go I'll have my meal home, on your way out could you asked a driver to pick up in 10 minutes, " David asked Edward

"Sure, or if you want... I could drive you home" Edward bit concern about his friend

"Nah, you need to rest as well, besides I just gonna go straight home... thanks for the offer anyway" David know Edward is worried but He did a lot already

"Okay, I'll text you which driver on standby" David loves to drive by himself, but the company always had a drivers standby 24/7 in circumstances like this.

They rarely served David but there some executive or even worker that need to work late and Edward glad that their company provides this kind of service.

David Just wearing his coat when Edward Text him saying it is Karl the driver on standby today and he's waiting for David in front of the building.

He closed his office while reading Dave text that comes an hour ago.

[I do not know what time you may finish but I am reachable at any time.]

His call get trough in the third attempt

"Sorry, I was in the bathroom" Dave answer his phone

''I just finished and if it is not too late for you can we met?" David ask Dave

"Sure, I am in a cafe near your apartment we could meet there" Dave wanted to offer they meet at David apartment to talk comfortably but he changes his mind.

"If you don't mind, can you bring my usual flavour and met me at my apartment, you could spend the night there as always, the code for my apartment still the same." David seems to have the same mind as Dave and he needs him tonight, not only as Gea's brother but as his best friend as well

"That would be great, it's the total of your parents birthday right?"Dave still remember it perfectly

"Yup, I'll meet you there then" Dave closed his phone and order coffee for both of them and a couple of sandwiches

David enters the car as soon as he hangs up the phone. He calls his mother and tells her that he is very sorry that he can't have a further relationship with Lyla, he hopes his mom does not give any hope to her aunt as well, as she could see from the news it causes some problems to appear after that.

He does not tell either his situation or Gea's, he does not want to break her heart that already hurt from thinking that Gea already belongs to Dave.

Andrea wishes David good night, she can not force her self to come forward, tell him that Dave is Gea's brother.

She could see the spark of this two-person eyes to each other, but she's not an angel or fortune teller that could tell what is waiting for them ahead, Gea needed to learn about trust and depend on others while David needs to lose some of his control.

They need each other but to reach that point, they have to struggle it would not working if they can not conquer themselves and able to surrender, be defeated by their own emotions, their feeling and especially to admit to themself that they are falling for each other.

Right after David call, Andrea received a text from Gea telling them she is okay but can not talk, she will be unreachable for a week. Gea wishing her a great night.

Andrea took a deep breath and pray for God that both of them could overcome all the obstacle in their life, and live in happiness. She prays hard for them to be together, she is not God but she knew from all years of her experiences and life that Gea was the perfect couple for David, she may sound selfish coz she knew he would not find someone as good as her to David. Gea may get hurt in the process but she knew her son well that she would never be treated bad, His ego and jealousy feeling that end up in control makes her wishes Gea could overcome it or change it.

David order food to deliver to his apartment, he thanks Karl for his service, gave him a tip to bring something nice for his family. Karl thank him several times as the tip was big enough and it comes at the time he needed.

" I wish you a great life sir, and may God grant you with a happy, healthy and long life ahead." Karl was stutteringly facing this man known to be kind just but strict

David nod as his gratitude for the wishes and walk-in into his apartment building.

He took the delivery food that hangs in front of his door, bringing them in to be welcomed with coffee aroma in the kitchen, Dave just put the sandwich on the plate when David entered the kitchen.

"I already have a bath, thank you for keeping my clothes and my room as usual" Dave room that he always use whenever he spent the night here still the same and clean, meaning David still have the cleaning lady maintain it every day.

"You are my best friend and always will still miss those time when we were less busy, I am glad I still keep it," David said

"Same for me" They almost awkwardly hug each other before Dave says

"You need to take a shower, we have a long night to talk" Dave grind at David

"Ok, I'll have a quick shower then"David grim at Dave and quickly walk to his room.
