2 2. My Neighbor

She's googling the news of Movie premiere this evening while walking back to her house happily, the food ingredients are in 'go green' bag that she used to carry around. Her steps stop after heard a noise right across her walking path. Just across her house, she sees a woman collapsed put back her phone in the pocket she rushed across and checked the woman.

"Mam.. mam are you ok?" the woman seems still unconscious, when she tried to call an ambulance while her left hand holding the woman's head, she heard a soft voice.

" I am ok, no need to call the ambulance" the woman hold Gea's hand, look at her with a gentle smile that reminded her of her mom and said again "I am ok, its probably skip breakfast effect, but thank God you're here".

Gea nod to her and put back her phone in her pocket look at the woman, thinking that if her mom still alive probably they are in the same age. Her face not as paler as before, but still Gea tries to look for more signs that can assure she's ok.

"I am ok, you do not need to worry" she could notice that Gea still hesitate if she's ok or not.

Grab Gea Hand a bit stronger she asks "can you help me stand up?" Gea strengthens her lower body and helps her to stand up.

" I live here" her finger point the house right in front of their standing position "where do you live, young lady?"

Gea faces blush, 'I am 30 years old not young anymore' she whispered inside her head " just right across your house".

The woman look at her bag and saw that all her groceries are intact, not affected by her collapsed, she let out a release sigh "if it's not so much trouble for you can you help me bring my bag inside?" she's asking Gea for help "Sure" Gea Nod to her

The house a bit similar to Gea's house as they live in the same cluster. Gea walked her inside the house, then follow her to the kitchen, put her grocery bag on the island.

"Do you have someone to accompany you, or do you have someone that I can call?" Gea asked.

"My daughter lives not too far from here and she usually calls me every day, visit me every weekend but she's on the plane right now, coming back from her vacation with her family, I am sure she'll be visiting me on Monday. My husband already passes away 10 years ago. There is my son, he lives in S city but his very busy and I do not want to bother him".

Her eyes full of love when she talks about her family even though they're not around, the same look that Gea mom always have when looking at her, wipe down the tears in the corner of her eyes Gea ask

"Mam do you have a cellphone?" she took it out, shows to Gea " Yes, I have".

Gea takes the cell phone, typing her phone number and give the cell phone back to her " I put my number under the name 'Neighbor Gea', you can call me if you need something, or you can call me anytime. I'll be right across during this weekend".

She received back the phone "thankyou".

She told Gea that her name is Andrea but asked Gea to call her 'Mom' after knowing that both of Gea's parents already passed away, and Gea told her that she remains her of her mom which Gea happily agreed.

Gea stays for lunch that both of them make it and enjoyed together.

Andrea's daughter called and checked if she's ok, saying that she'll already back and will visit Andrea tomorrow, Gea understands when she told her daughter that she's ok.

Cleaning up the dishes, Gea makes sure Andrea had her insulin shot, seeing she's really ok Gea ask her permission to go back to her own house. Andrea happily got Gea to promise to have lunch together tomorrow before saying goodbye.
