7 Dèrox

"Excuse me, do you still have any of that strawberry flavoured croissant?" asked a young lady who seems to be the last customer of the day.

" I am sorry ma'am, there isn't any left" answered Jacine who is handling the counter after telling his mother to rest since it's going to be closing time any mintues.

The young lady left since there wasn't anymore of the item she wanted.

The bakery seemed to be more crowded than usual and things has been selling like hot cakes! specially the new mocha flavoured bread that Mark has made, and Jacine was quite happy of the sell.

" seems its gonna rain today" muttered Jacine as he looked outside through the window how cloudy the sky looked.

" Jacine ! Lets clean up we are going to close in 10 mins!" informed mark as he pop out of the door leading to the kitchen and Jacine answered nodding with an ok!.

As Mark cleans up inside and Jacine at the front , the bakery door open with the tickling sound of the bell that was hanged along at the door . " Sorry but we are cl-" Jacine was sweeping the floor and as he looked towards the door he wasn't happy to see the person who came. " You?" said Jacine with a cold indifferent expression .

" Where is Theodeor?" asked a man who was standing facing the large window whose size seems to be the same of two doors attached together ,with his hands behind his back.

" He went for hunting Alpha" answered a young man trying his best to hide his nervous voice as to not be caught lieing to the Alpha.

As the man turned himself from the window shifting his eyes to the young man standing infront of him with a lavender gray hair and honey coloured eye, having his ear pierced and looking all confident when infact deep down he feels like he is going to pee if his eyes met with the cold stare of the Alpha.

" Didn't he returned yesterday from his hunt? why did he go again? Cain..." asked the Alpha who seems to be old in his 50s but fit as rock in his 30s with bulky body, thick black eyebrows and beard along with a mustache whose ends are pointed like wings , standing coldly and the young man was none other than Cain, Theodore's only friend , well thats how it seemed for everyone in the pack as he is always the one near him.

" aagghh-!! if alpha knows he went to hunt for some answers ,he will be the one being hunted by Alpha " whispered Cain to himself in his mind not that he is courageous enough to say the truth either.

" Ca-"

" He said he went to hunt the White Dèrox he heard that's at the west!", informed Cain in one breath with his eyes shut as he interrupted the Alpha trying to stop him from asking anything further .

With no response from the Alpha, Cain peeked

open one of his eye and saw the Alpha still in his position not moving an inch.

" hmm.... I see" said the Alpha having no doubt in Cain's words .

" now you gotta hunt a real Dèrox Theo, or else we will be the food for the Dèrox " muttered Cain in his thoughts while crying internally.

Dèrox is a common animal in the wild . It's similar like the plain deer but has a whole lot different characteristics. It's sly like a fox eventhough it has that innocent looking face like the deer. Its ear and tails are the same like the fox excpet for its body thats the same of the deer .Even though it's common but a Dèrox with a white fur is exceptionally special and rare as its fur lightens during the full moon .

No one knows the reason how but rumors has it that it's because it was born during the full moon that it's fur reacts to the moon's light and till now no one could prove it as none saw any. And since Cain mentioned the " White Dèrox" not any common ones, made the Alpha believed in his words .

" you may leave Cain"

" yes alpha" said Cain as he bowed and left the place letting out a deep relief as he no longer in the sight of the Alpha.

" I better tell him to hunt a white Dèrox.... it's not like he can't right? a rare species?" Cain said to himself questioning what he told the Alpha or rather putting himslef in an unsafe situation with both sides threats .

" I swear this father and son duo , why did I even became his friend !" questioned Cain eventhough its not like he meant what he said .

" you should be grateful to have a friend like me! if it was someone else he would've spilled everything and you will be confined for 2 years ! hmph!" said Cain proudly for being a supportive friend of Theo.
