His Lifeline

Lifeline is a safety feature on a boat , a rope that either protects you from falling off or that you can throw to someone who is drowning. I have a best friend actually childhood best friend we grew up together, our houses were close, and our parents were also friends. We made a promise together since we were kids What is that promise ?? We can't fall to each other because we are only best friends But they say promises are meant to be broken Something fell on us One of the two of us What will I do?? Will I avoid him because he broke our promise to each other ?? Even if he is my night in shining armor ?? That he always saves me when I am in danger And I'm his lifeline ??
