2 2. Sorting out plots

According to the shit show of a novel my brother wrote, Yu Yan was a cannon fodder for The male and Female lead.

She was the highest rank minister's daughter who always had every thing she wanted, and one of the things she wanted was The Crown Prince.

I tsk at the thought of building such a character, and Yu Yan didn't commit Suicide.

Yu Yan is actually a cunning and evil character who tried every thing to win over him only to result in her demise. Such a character, she wouldn't favour death. And even if she has to die, she'll die with dignity.

But she didn't realise she lost all her dignity when she decided to chase a man who already has Someone in his heart.

Tsk ,tsk, tsk, such a fine young lady, with a petite and curvy body, with slender hands and such elegance, she decided to chase a man for what? Sheesh.

Even though I had agreed helping this lady get on to the right path, I knew how dangerous it would be.

What could I possibly do here? Even if I am from the modern world, ancient China has always been known for cunning plots and killings. Comparing my brain with those of the leads, I realised I was just a nut.

I already decided, I'll be staying low for now.

It's okay, I'm Yu Yan from now on.

Today, I decided to stroll around the city and know about it more.

Sure I know some of the plots, but I wanted to know the insights, I've read many novels. How the inside of novels look like,or how people usually react but it was the same as Dramas.

Just as I stepped foot in the city, people started to bow to her and avoid her eyes, the streets went..silent?

I wanted to awkwardly laugh but my guts told me not to act rashly. Minister Heng, or also my Fu Qin, was very disappointed and also scolded me a lot.

They thought I jumped into the lake to commit suicide, but in reality I was actually pushed, er...Yu Yan was pushed into the lake by some servant who was serving Lady Shen. The female lead.

"Lady ship, I think we should go visit one of the restaurants." Ling Yi told me, and held my arm before dragging me softly towards one particular restaurant.

I finally realised that Yu Yan was the most feared Lady of LanZhou. And she was known for being elegant and sophisticated. People wouldn't dare look at her nor avoid her.

But it was also because she was favoured by the Empress, to which the Emperor too. The Emperor and Empress are known for being the legendary love birds in their youths, having no Princess for the longest time, When Yu Yan was born, they were joyed to the point they personally visited Heng Fu.

When hearing people chatter about Lady Yan visiting the restaurant, one particular room ears perked.

I finally settled in my personal reserved table and waited for the food to arrive, I took a peek out the window and saw people went back to normal.

I sighed, Yu Yan must have been so feared that not many people would want to befriend her.

I frowned, why do I suddenly feel bad for Yu Yan? and why I do feel like this is how She must have felt like.

Yu Yan patiently waited for her food to arrive, almost people caught her gossiping with her servant lady but none dared to talk about her.

But a sudden visit of Someone made her almost roll her eyes.

The crown Prince visited her in her personal stall.

But he was a royalty, paying respect was needed.

"It's pleasant to see you here, Crown Prince Sheng." She bowed and Prince Sheng laughed.

"hm, but it's more pleasant to finally see you in public places." He mocked her, only people who studied in Minister Heng's school would know the meaning behind this. The mock, the line and all of it, only Minister Heng was capable of teaching such.

she laughed slightly before saying, "I also wanted to see what people see in public places, to see the things they see."

With this, Crown Prince's smile faltered a bit, isn't she supposed to start her act? "Wang ye that, Wang ye this."

After jumping into the lake, did the water pour her a brain?

"I hope you're fine, Lady Yan. The fall was a bit exaggerated." He now waited for her to let him come in and sit down, but no, she didn't even bother to let him.

"It has to be exaggerated if it's forced." she lightly muttered out and acted like she said nothing.

He frowned, Did someone push her into the lake? who could it be?

Before any more exchange of conversation, Yu Yan immediately cut off the convo and he was indirectly forced to leave.
