[Bonus chapter] On Her Mind

Benedito had his arms wrapped around my waist as he repeatedly kissed my cheeks as I made the batter for the waffles he wanted for breakfast. Music played through the speakers as the Yorkies and Dobermans ran around the kitchen chasing each other. 

It had been so long since we had a morning like this. Just the two of us making breakfast in a completely empty house. It was unsaid but everyone had given us space for the day mostly because Benedito slept incredibly late working and it was my first full day back. 

There was so much love between us you could choke from it if you were a spectator. I had heard so many 'I love you's from Benedito that I wondered did he know any other word. His happiness made me smile when I looked at him.
