1 Prologue

Its past midnight, and the night sky is picturesque. A black moon lite sky is the backdrop for the full moon. The night sky is so clear that you could almost see the craters in the moon. The moon is glowing with a yellow ring around it. There is a million stars in the sky a few larger ones but mostly little white pin pricks. Every now and then one twinkles and catches your eye, representing the moon goddess's blessings for everyone with a wish, making their life healthy and happy. Everyone is celebrating this special night that comes once a month. Everyone except one.

The forest floor is lost in the darkness due to the density of all the trees. Against a hazy gray light, black branches reach out like monstrous, unseen beasts, thickening in the distance to an impenetrable tangle the keeps the youth from fleeing keeping her trapped within the wilderness along with the nightmare- creatures who continue to fellow her. The howls of these beast are growing loader now they are extremely close. But she has to run, she has to escape them in order to live. She has a lot on her shoulders to carry. A responsibility, a promise, and a revenge. Who is this girl and why is she here? Why are these monsters chasing her? Only she knows the answer.

The young girl ran with all her might. Hiding behind trees, bushes and in little caves. She had to avoid the eyes of her enemies. But they are too strong, and their senses are far more sensitive than hers. This resulted in her getting hurt every once in a while. It was like a game of cat and mouse, where the mouse is already too weak, and the cat is just teasing it before it kills it. But the mouse never lost hope. With her sweaty skin, torn up dress, and her bleeding body she kept on trying to find hope of her survival. She kept wishing to the moon goddess for a blessing, until she finally got it.

As the full moon bid goodbye, the night sky, inviting the sun to rise and shine brighter than ever, she was far away from her home. The sound of the ruffling leaves and heavy paw steps are now silent, but she did not stop to check. She is too scared to look back in case they catch her once and again. She kept running and running until finally she tripped on a broken branch and fell to the ground. The sound of a bone breaking breaks the silence of the forest, informing her that her leg is broken somewhere. She cannot move and she is too tired and weak to even try to get up. She can barely hold on to her consciousness anymore. Is she finally going to die? If yes, then it is better to die from an accident then to be killed by her enemies. With this thought, she takes a deep breath and closes her eyes to rest, inviting in death to take her and free her from this hell.
