Prologue

On a Monday morning in the season of summer, Veronica sat on her bed since she just woke up and just finished yawning lazily. She stood and looked at her clock but did not see it clearly. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her left palm and looked once more.

"Oh my. It is really late!"

She said as she turned to the bathroom which wasn't so luxious but okay.

She got to the bathroom and had her bath as fast as she could and dressed up quickly. Putting on a pink suit trousers with a white innner and a pink blazer on top.

She went to her shoe rack and brought out black flats. She put on some light make up and packed her long wavy black hair into a bun style.

She picked up a black bag which was hanging at the back of her door on a rusty nail.

Veronica moved out of her room and went through a small white gate placed on a fence made of bricks. She looked back at her rented apartment, which she had been living in since her mother died of high blood pressure, partly caused by the stress of training her up alone, with out the help of her father. Who have left her at a small age, of around ten.

In pain and sickness Veronica's mother trained her up to the university level and had died a year after that. All was left was to find a job, which she was about to try her luck.

She hit down at her destination and paid the taxi driver in which, she entered. She looked every where and went down to the company.

"Sorry, you are late. Please excuse us"

A voice said from the judge's area.

"Please a chance at least." She asked .

"No! Please read the sign at the door." Another said.

She turned her head to the door and read the sign, which read.

"NO LATE COMING!!"

A expression of sadness and disappointment filled her face, as she turned to leave the inter viewing hall.
