Prologue

Shining Moonlight came to her study desk through the window. There was a sky blue colored leather covered diary with a fancy carved wooden bookmark on the table. The petals of Solenia Begonia danced through the carved bookmark.

There was a silver pendant too, looked like a treble Clef. It was her life long companion, she loved dearly.

Looking through the window one could see the whole city from there. The apartment where she lived was on the 25th floor of the Lilac residential complex, city's largest apartment complex.

Hyejin sat on the desk to write her diary about the entire day.

She had an interview at the morning in a prestigious entertainment company. Two weeks ago, she had a written examination for the secretary post in that company. All the questions were so easy that she could answer them blindfolded.

But today was different. Her interview was going smoothly until the interviewer asked one question, "How is your relationship with your parents and family members?"

She sat there quietly without answering, looking at the ground. That was her last question for the interview.

They greeted her, "Thank you for coming, we will announce the result in some days and you will get your result on your mail too. Thank you again," The interviewer closed her file and gave her back.

Apparently she had everything, good grades, friends, money and her love of life.

There was only one thing that she didn't have and that was the warmth of a family. She had been living alone with her brother there after their uncle adopted them.

And about her brother, they weren't that much close ever since high school.

As she wrote her diary, she heard some weird creak sound at a distance, not from outside, but from inside of her apartment. She thought maybe some cat was strolling around. She continued to write, "The interviewer shouldn't have asked me about my parents. I mean, I don't hate them, but, they never cared for their own children. Even when we hurt ourselves when playing in our childhood, they only asked our nanny to take care of us, specially mom. She is indifferent to absolute everything and never understood us. Why give birth if you don't have time for us?" She scribbled for a while.

She heard another Clank sound just outside the door of her room. She again thought, "It must be a cat… But wait…"

She looked from the window, "Isn't it the 25th floor… a cat can't..."

It was in the late midnight. The whole place was so quiet that even a small clank of something could sound terrifying and give goosebumps.

With the clack, someone opened the door of her room. She turned at once to see a black hooded guy trudging towards her. She couldn't see face as no lights were on except for the table lamp. His built was small, almost same like Hyejin, although she was quite tall.

She stiffens in front of her table, seeing some one like that in her room. She wanted to scream but couldn't. Even if she could that whole floor was apparently empty. At that time, no one could hear her scream.

But at the flash moment when he came close to her she saw his face. She tried to say, "S-u…"

That guy ran to grab her neck, pressing her against the table, making the table shudde her diary fell on ground, he started choking her.

Unable to even made a sound, she tried so much to loosen his grip, but his hands were like stone.

Upon struggling for a minute with his grip, she found a paper cutter beside her on the table.

Although she was crying from pain, she grabbed the cutter and swung it at him.

The cutter couldn't do any damage as he grabbed the blade and threw it. He wore thick gloves, his hands were unscathed.

He never loosened his grip even after all this ruckus.

He threw her suddenly, not because he was tired or something, but she was dead already.

Her body laid on the ground. He stared at her cold body for a minute.

His enormous strength was praiseworthy even though he had a small stature.

He went to search for something in the kitchen. Picking up a large black garbage bag he came back to her room and tugged her to fit into the bag. That bag was so large that she fit in there comfortably.

In the middle of the night, the whole complex was quiet as dessert. He picked the bag and made it to the lift by dragging it. It was a good thing for him that there wasn't any blood involved.

Looking at the CCTV cameras, he smirked. He had drugged the security guard beforehand and when he was sleeping like a log, he turned off all the cameras.

At the ground floor, when the door of the elevator opened, a drunk guy was standing there. He looked at the bag standing at the gate of the elevator, then shouted, "Hey, young man, you're throwing garbage at this middle of the night."

He continued to drag the body in the bag, ignoring this guy. That drunk guy mumbled, "No one respect elders these days… tch… that punk didn't even turn to give a response."

Driving to a hillside which was at the southeast direction of the city, he took a rough path rather the main road. It wasn't easy to go through the main road as it might get dangerous for him if someone noticed anything suspicious.

There on the foot of the hill was an old hut and a well in front of there. The hut was old and no one lived there for a long time.

But for him it was a great place to throw away the garbage as no one ever comes there.

He threw the bag on the well and sighed, "That's a relief now."
