"Your mall's salesman accused my wife of shoplifting and tried to embarrass her in public because that girl bribed him to do so. What do we do with them now ?"
He looked at his salesman in disgust and anger .He then turned plastered on a fake smile and replied to Kay.
"You can do whatever you want with them,of course."
Kay smirked at this and narrowed his eyes before finally saying.
"Okay then. Fire him. I don't want to see him here. And the girl,I suggest you call the police on her.She is the real thief."
The owner nodded at him and then proceeded to call the security.The security arrived at the scene and began to drag her to the police station. She tried to wiggle out from under the guard's grip but he was strong and instead of loosening his hold on her,he tightened his fingers.She bit her lips in pain and shot a pleading look towards Zila and Kay .But it seemed like they were enjoying the scene infront of them.If Zila had some popcorn she would have surely munched on it and watched the girl suffer in misery.
The owner fired the salesman and asked the security to throw him out too. He tried to beg for mercy but his pleas fell on deaf ears.Zila smiled widely at Kay and as a reply he smirked at her causing everyone a look of confusion to pass over the spectators in the mall.

Zila was drafting her resignation letter, when her phone buzzed .She glanced at it and saw that there was a message from the girl from before who wanted to take Zila to the party (originated from chapter 2).
Vikki : Time: 7 pm. Today
Place:The Silo club.
Be there on time and make sure that you doll up.
Zila :Yeah, I will be there on time.
She sighed and then continued her work. Kay was still working and all his focus was on it.
In the afternoon Zila finally was done writing her resignation letter. She got up from her desk and went over to Kay's desk while toying with her resignation letter .She felt very nervous and almost stumbled over but caught herself at the last moment. She stood in front of Kay's desk and he looked up from his file. He raised an eye brow at her.
"Yes?"
She hesitated a little before finally putting her resignation letter on his desk .
"What's this?".He asked seemingly confused.
She didn't feel the need to reply as he had already opened the envelope and went through it. She just stood there not knowing what to do.She watched him through the corner of her eyes. She saw his body immediately stiffen as he read the word "Resignation letter" and he clenched the paper so hard that it was almost about to tear apart. His jaw clenched and unclenched and then he glared at Zila and said
"You want to quit?"
"Yes"
"And who will sign this?"
"You."
"Huh... I won't do it. You are not resigning and you are not going anywhere." He said,a finality in his voice.He was trying to hold back his anger and stay calm even if his mind was yelling at him to do something.
"I am resigning. And I don't need your permission to do it."
"Yes. You do." He yelled at her making her flinch and she took a step back probably scared. Kay sighed and tried to calm himself while rubbing his temples. He was really stressed and angry now and Zila was definitely not helping it. Suddenly a thought occurred to him and he said "You want to resign? Ok ,then.I won't stop you.But give me a proper reason and if it's because of me I am informing you now itself that I won't accept it.But if not...."
"I.... The resignation is due to some personal reasons that I can't reveal."
Kay stood up from his seat and started walking towards Zila.Gulping,she started to take some steps back until her back hitted the wall.Great!Now she was trapped with no way to escape . He kept his hands on either side of Zila caging her so that she won't be able to move. He moved his face closer to her so that his breath was fanning her face.Then he talked huskily,
"If you want to leave then there is a condition."
She looked him in the eye,put on a brave face and questioned ,"What condition? "
"Well,if you give 10 million dollars to this company you can walk away"
Zila's eyes were wide open by now and she yelled at him,"What? Ten million dollars? That's too much. I don't have that much money."
He chuckled hearing this and then responded
"Oh baby!!! Then you can't leave. You will have to stay with me.Forever."
"No I will do anything to quit."Zila yelled at him.He saw her determined face and laughed a heavy laugh like she had said something hilarious. She was about to say something back when Kay tucked a stray hair behind her ear at . She was sure that she was blushing now but she didn't give up.
"Don't test my patience. You know what I am capable of."
"What? You can't do anything. You are just all bark and no bite."
"Try to defy me and then you will see what I am capable of."
Zila said throwing daggers at him through his eyes.She was still trapped between the wall and Kay. Her anger fueled up when she saw that he wasn't respecting her.
"What do you think of yourself? Huh!! I will do whatever I want.If I want to resign I will do that and no one and I mean no one not even you can stop me."
She said bravely.To this he replied,
"You signed a contract with our company that you will work here for one year and if you decide to quit in between you will have to pay the company 10 million dollars as a fine...Aww ,don't tell me that you didn't read the contract before signing it. How can you be this careless?"
Zila looked at him ,shock and anger evident in her eyes and she said,
"I did read the contract before signing. But nothing like that was mentioned in it. You altered the contract,didn't you.That's cheating."
Kay chuckled darkly and this caused a shiver to run down Zila's back but she didn't show any sign of fear and looked confidently at him.He raised his eye brow at her and replied in between his chuckles,
"Oh baby!! I wouldn't exactly call it cheating ,it's more like business. Now be a good girl and listen to me."
"I will not." She yelled at him and finally got rid of his grip. She was feeling helpless and impotent because of Kay's presence. She hated the fact that he always ordered her around and that he controlled everything. She finally sighed and said,
"Okay well I will work in this company and complete my one year contract. Then you won't be able to stop me from leaving."
Kay nodded and gave her a smirk at which she shrugged. Kay felt confident that she wouldn't leave the company now.
"Yes... I did it. I thought I lost her again. But I won't let her leave me again like that. She is mine and only mine and I will make her understand that she belongs to me.In just a matter of time, you will be back with me. Back in my arms. Back in my embrace. You will have to come back to me. "
Zila then went over to her desk to work again but not before stomping her foot like a child. Kay smirked and went to work again.
In the evening, Zila started to pack up her belongings hurriedly as she needed to go to the party. She took her bag and then went over to tell Kay that she was about to leave.
"Sir I have finished all my work. I have to leave early today,so I will be going now."
Kay looked at her for a while before saying
"Are you going somewhere?"
Zila looked at him in disbelief before snapping at him
"That's none of your business ,Sir. Where I go and what I do after work they are none of your concern."
Kay gritted his teeth at her rebellious nature. He always wanted his girl to obey his orders but Zila was doing the exact opposite making him more exasperated. Zila continued causing him to snap out of his thoughts.
"So I will be going now Sir. Have a good evening. Bye"
Kay didn't reply to her and she didn't care.She stomped out of the room ,her heels clacking against the marble floor . Kay looked at her adoringly, while she opened the door and left, swaying her hips. Kay ran his hand through his already disheveled hair, quite frustrated about the situation but he just resumed his work.
