15 The Search for Ms. Right Begins

Olivia dragged her tired body slowly towards her bed, her plushy bed looked so inviting so she did a ceremonial face plant. The trip back felt long and awkward, she couldn't believe how excited her friends were over the fact that her dad wanted to start dating again. Olivia couldn't help feeling a little guilty, her dad's choice was probably forced because of her actions on Friday.

She knew her dad tried his best to be there for her in every possible way but somethings were just to hard to talk about with him, so over the years she kept everything bottled up secretly doing her own research so she could avoid having 'those' conversations with him.

Olivia looked at the time on her phone, it was late and she really needed to get some sleep for tomorrow. Luckily her dad arranged for her to have Sunday off as their was going to be an emergency family meeting.

Olivia rolled off her bed and landed on top her shaggy salt and pepper rug. She hoped the fall would bring some adrenaline into her body so she could have enough energy to change. She hauled herself of the floor, changed into a simple night gown, hooked up her phone to the charger and tucked herself into bed. The moment she laid her head on her favorite pillow she was out for the remainder of the night.

Morning came. Olivia was already at the dinning table finishing up her breakfast when Blair and Autumn walked in. "Morning!" she greeted happily "Morning" Blair responded "Great morning!" Autumn said as she skipped towards Olivia, once she was close enough she latched herself on top of Olivia's head and went in for a snuggle.

"Well someone is extra happy today." Blair said with a giant grin on her face. "Nope." Autumn said as her face peeked out from Olivia's hair "It's a big day today. Her dad is officially going on the market and I want Olivia start off the day knowing we love her."

"Why do I even assume things with you." Blair said as she shook her head "Well whatever, I wanted to give her a hug too anyways."

"Thanks guys"

....

It was painful, way too painful! Olivia never knew how high her dad's standards were when looking for a woman. Thank goodness she wasn't doing this on her own! Uncle Robin had come by the house to help 'analyze" a huge pile of files, all detailing information about potential candidates for her dad to chose from and decided to drag along his wife Amy for moral support.

Robin threw his pile of files up in the air and sank back into the sofa. "You are impossible! Absolutely ridiculous! Why the hell are your standards so high! Did you even have standards when you started to date my sister?!" Robin groaned, he placed his hand over his eyes and began to whine "Look I brought you the files you wanted. I spent 24 hours straight piecing together basic data on every woman in this damn city who is single and are between the ages of early 30's to late 40's and now you want us to narrow it down for you?!"

Avery threw his pile of files onto the coffee table, he looked absolutely lost and hurt. Turned his gaze to Amy and with giant puppy dog eyes said "Your husband is right... I took to much of your time already. Please go home I can take care of things on me own."

"Nonsense!" Amy exclaimed. "We are family and we have a right to give you a helping hand when you are in need. Besides, this was my idea and I want to see it through!"

"Amy! Sweet heart please lets go home! You have no obligation to this moron! Your only obligation is to stay health for the baby." Robin said as he looked at his wife like she was the most valuable thing in the world. "You though! Stop play on my wife's heart strings you know she's hormonal!"

Avery shrugged as if he had no idea what Robin was talking about. Olivia knew her uncle was right, Amy was the newer addition to the family that married her uncle Robin last year, so she didn't know all her dad's tricks to get what he wanted.

Olivia wanted to change the subject quickly so she asked "Auntie Amy did you find what your having yet?" Olivia looked at her aunt bright eyed and bushy tail waiting for her response. Amy giggled as she answered "M-a-y-b-e..." Olivia couldn't hold it in anymore, she abandoned her task and started to rub her aunt's shoulder. "Please tell me auntie Amy, I'm so very excited that I'm gonna have a cute baby cousin and you know I can always babysit when you need some time to yourself." Olivia asked in her most sweetest voice.

"Mmmh that feels nice...ok, ok I can tell you but only because I want to see your uncle's face." Olivia squealed ad she hugged her aunt from behind. Amy patted Olivia's arm and re-positioned herself on the couch. She looked directly at Robin's smiling face "Ok so we are having...a...boy" Robin grabbed Amy and started kissing her all over her face. "Your having a boy! We're having a boy! Avery she said it's a boy!" he shouted between his laughter.

"That's right honey a boy and another boy" Robin froze, his face paled as he looked at his wife. "T-t-two boys?" Robin said as he was started to get up from the couch. Amy nodded "That's right honey two boys... and one girl." Robin looked dumbstruck he didn't know what to do. Avery gave a small chuckle as he looked at his friend before saying "It looks like helping me doesn't seem so bad now does it?"

Robin's eyes rolled back and he fell to the floor. Amy was shocked and Olivia ran to her uncle to try and wake him up. Avery looked at Autumn and asked "Did you record all of that?" Autumn's eyes danced in delight as she gave Avery a thumbs up. "That's my girl!"

Once everyone calmed down from the news. It was back to work, Robin seemed to have only blacked out for a few minutes and was more then delight to help his brother-in-law look for a potential mate. However It was Blair who had the final results. "So after going through the narrowed down piles that everyone gave me I was able to reduce to the candidates to these 5 women."

Avery picked up the files and slowly went through them. He placed them down one at a time across the coffee table, each file had the candidate's name written on it and Olivia read each name slowly trying to put a face to the file. When she saw the last file put down she let out a loud "Oh!" Avery looked up at Olivia and in turn Olivia looked at Blair "Mrs. Masama is divorced?" she asked.

"Widowed actually." Blair replied. Avery still looking at Olivia was obviously confused so he asked "Livy you know her?" Olivia gave a small shrug "I meet her. She's really nice! She is Laila and Loreley's mother and I'm supposed to be having dinner with them this coming Friday." Avery looked back at the file and stared.

A few minutes had gone by and Avery finally looked up "Well I guess I won't know till I meet these ladies to find the one. I will be fair and give everyone 3 dates before I make an opinion about them." Everyone in the room seemed to agree except for Autumn. She glared at Blair with complete disgust in her eyes. "Ms. Masama is a no!"
