16 Flight or Fight

Olivia put on a brave face today, she tied her hair half up with her royal blue ribbon before leaving work. She also made sure to pack an extra big lunch so she could try to get Eli to sit beside her. She needed him to get near her and food seemed to be the trick. With a small fist pump Olivia was ready to go find Eli and talk to him about the kiss.

She had her phone close by the whole weekend, hoping he would call her with some sort of explanation. Much to her surprise and horror, he didn't contact her. In fairness she didn't try to contact him either.

Olivia walked through the school gates and .... nothing. She walked a little further and ... nothing. She was getting closer to the school's main doors and.... what the hell was going on?! Her friends were missing.

She walked through the doors and couldn't help notice that the people around her were starting to whisper and point. Some girls giggled, others gave her dirty looks and some guys were giving creepy looks.

Olivia was starting to feel uncomfortable as she walked by some guy. It felt like their gazes were rapidly tearing her clothes off leaving her bare and vulnerable. Her heart rate picked up and sweat started to roll down from her temple. She took one big gulp and ran towards her homeroom.

As she opened the door to the small auditorium she noticed Blair and Autumn hunched over the spot they always sat at. "So you guys were already here?"

"Olivia! Good morning!" Blair said awkwardly. While Autumn went in for a bear hug.

"Ufff...Wow a hug first thing this morning!" she happily said while she snuggled Autumn back. Autumn fluffy hair was always so soft to cuddle into so she couldn't resist to openly show affection in front of others.

After she let go of Autumn, Olivia looked at her sitting area, it was really clean. "Where you guys cleaning our area this morning?" she asked. Autumn let out a small tongue click and Blair looked flustered waving a rag in the air.

"Sure did! We thought why not have everything extra shinny today since your starting a new chapter in your life right?!" Blair couldn't look Olivia in the eyes while she gave her a weird explanation. While Autumn looked like she was ready to kill someone.

"Right..." Olivia responded "You know Blair your not the best of liars even when its something simple." Olivia walked up to Blair looked her right in the eyes and straightened her tie. "So what are you trying to hide?"

Blair could feel drops of sweat rolling down her face, she couldn't break free from Olivia's tense gaze. As Olivia raised her eyebrow to coax her into spilling, ding, ding, ding, she was saved by the bell. "We should take our seats now. And Olivia... it's about Eli." Autumn said nonchalantly before moving past both girls to get to her seat.

Olivia froze and Blair felt relieved. Blair felt bad that Autumn dropped a bomb on her like that but at least Olivia was not going to prey too much into their actions now.

.....

"Hun you feeling ok? Wanna head over to the garden for tea?" Autumn asked with the sweetest of smiles. Olivia could only nod. She couldn't stop thinking about her day so far and needed to ask her friends for their opinions.

Today was too weird. Their was more whispers and malice in the air then usual. The male students stares were making her feel way to uncomfortable while some of her teachers looked at her with disappointment.

Once they made it to the garden Olivia grabbed Blair's hand and dragged her towards an empty table for three and sat her down. "Spill." she commanded as she crossed her arms, back straight and looked at Blair menacingly. "I don't know what you're talking about." Blair responded as she looked towards a nearby rose bush and started to rub both knees with her hands.

"Blair look at me and tell me what has been going on." Blair refused to look at Olivia until Autumn came to their table with a tray of cake slices. "Mmm this looks so good! I love this school's cakes and seriously it's such a nice day out here! I could sun bathe all day, what about you Autumn?"

Autumn looked at Olivia "They're serving rose tea today. Did you want to wait for the waiter to come with the tea or do you want to eat the cake first?"

Olivia would let go of glare as she turned to Autumn. She had to try asking her what was going on but Autumn was too smart to give her a straight answer. So she changed her tactics, she softened her gaze, dropped her arms, slightly pouted her lips and asked sweetly "Autumn... why are you hiding things from me?"

Autumn's lip started to twitch. Olivia internally gave herself a little victory dance not daring to show any signs of it on her face. She batted her eyelashes and said "I thought you loved me..." Autumn was started to sweat and as she opened her mouth a cart came rolling beside their table.

Olivia swore under her breath and straightened up her back. Her face was void of emotion as the young waiter served them tea. "Young madams would you like me to leave a fresh pot here?" he asked the ladies. Olivia politely nodded and had the pot placed in the center to the table. After placing the pot down he rolled the cart to the next table.

Olivia sighed. They weren't going to tell her anything so she decided to stare at her cake, she wasn't much in an eating mood. "Hey... do you know why Eli is avoiding me?" The question caught the girls by surprise, Blair let the piece of cake slip off her fork and land on her lap while Autumn's eyes froze open wide while she had her tea cup against her lips.

"Well I can tell you if you like." the group of girls that were sitting in the table behind them got up. A petite raven haired girl spoke as she walked over to their table "I know Eli really well you see." She wasn't very tall but she wasn't very short either, she gave off a delicate feeling but her eyes were shouting disgust when she looked at Olivia.

"Haven't we met before?" The petite girl's face twisted with rage at Olivia's question. the group of girls around her began to flatter the girl to calm her down.

"River don't listen to this slut!"

"That's right River, you have brains and beauty don't degrade yourself because of the words of some slutty b*tch"

"That's right River! You have only been here for a short time and more worthy people have recognized you as the true queen of this school!"

The petite girl started to compose herself with every word her groupies were spouting. She dusted off the dirt from her skirt and looked at Olivia as if she was a pile of dirt. "I should properly introduce myself. I am River Ruse, heiress to Ruse entertainment and future lady of Delmira enterprise. You may not know me as I just transferred from Tekula Academy two weeks ago."

Olivia sat there staring at River, her brain thinking back from the information given. "Oh!" she exclaimed River gave the biggest smirk as she swished back some hair behind her "You're the girl who tripped me at the cafe. Are you friends with Laila and Loreley?"

River's eye started to twitch. "That's right. I had to leave my good friends the Masama twins behind so I could keep an eye on my lover. There seems to be a stalker harassing him and as a result he has been in hiding since a certain incident happened where he was sexually assaulted."

"That's too bad about your lover but wow I had no idea the Masama sister were twins..." Olivia said while she stroked her chin. Raven decided to ignore Olivia words as she signaled to one of her groupies to give her a plate of cake, she turned to Olivia and said with the most sinister of smiles "You see I have a message from Eli..." Olivia froze, she slowly turned her head towards River "Stay the f*ck away from me you slut." and with that River splatted the cake onto Olivia's head.

The groupies were giggling while River looked triumphant. Blair couldn't take it anymore and pounded her fists against the table as she stood up but it was Autumn who spoke first. "If my saintly friend is a slut then I guess that makes you a whore house opened 24/7."

Raven was furious by the remark she went and grabbed a pot of tea of from the cart that a waiter was pushing around, took off the lid watching as the steam roll upward, walked back to the table and flung the liquid at Autumn. Autumn was able to block her face with her small hand but the liquid was too hot and she let out a small scream.

Olivia stood up and let the plate on her head fall to the ground with a crash. "Get her to the infirmary quickly, I will follow shortly." She yelled at Blair. Blair scooped up Autumn easily and started running back to the school building. The waiter that had the pot of tea stolen was furious as he started yelling at River "School regulations do not allow malicious disturbances on the grounds. Miss Ruse, you and your friends are banned from the school's garden for 30 days."

River faced the waiter teary eyed and pleaded "But sir I was just get some tea for a friend and my hand slipped it was all an accident." Olivia started to close the distance between her and River until she was only she was toe to toe with her. She looked at the waiter and grabbed a fist full of cake of her head before saying "I guess I'm band too for the next 30 days."

Olivia took one step back, slightly turned and sent a massive cake filled slapped onto Rivers cheek. River had no time to react and was sent flying sideways into a table near by, both table and River toppled to the ground. She walked over to where River was slumped over, she bent down and pulled her head up by the roots of her hair.

She looked directly at the already swollen girl's face and said in the most darkest of tones "Do whatever the f*ck you want to me but touch my friends and I won't be as nice next time." Olivia let go of her hair and watch her head slump towards the ground.

Olivia got up and dusted off her skirt and started to walk away. She paused, pivoted on the balls of her feet and looked back at River and her groupies prying her off the ground. She gave her the brightest of smiles as she said "You have been warned. Oh and welcome to Lewood Academy" and walked away waving her hand in the air like a queen.
