Chapter-4

Anu's Pov:-

After we were done the packing, I and Preethi leave to Ayesha mam's house. We decided to go to college from Ayesha mam's house for a few days. Ayesha mam, Ayan sir and Kriti are really a cute family. Kaira, Ayan sir's sister also lives in their house. And I and Preeti are afraid to see her reaction if she gets to know we are going stay in their mansion for a few days for Kriti's sake. She is a spoiled rich brat, not my words, Preeti's.



As we enter the house, we were welcomed by one of the beautiful mansions in the city. Ayesha mam and Ayan sir's house, they really love each other to death. There were workers in their house and one of them was Lilly. She is in her late thirties and is a very cheerful person.

As we enter the house I watch Lilly tensed and looking at the main entrance. She saw us and hurried towards us. I could sense that something was wrong. "Oh my god !!! Anu, it's you, I thought that its Ayesha mam, Kriti baby was not feeling well, so they rushed her to the hospital. Haritha didi {sister } went with mam and I just called and informed Ayan sir. " Lilly told me getting worried. Preeti gestures Lilly to relax and that everything is going to be fine. " Ok... relax, Lilly everything will be fine and Kriti will also be fine. I'll just go to the hospital and check on them, ok"

Preeti gestures me that she'll also come. "No, Preeti, you stay here and take care of Lilly and house, once I reach there I'll tell you what's the situation. "Preeti nods and gestures me to be careful and come home soon. I nod and change my college uniform and rush to take a cab.



{Anu's outfit}

I rush towards the hospital and ask the receptionist where Kriti's room was? She said me to go straight and take left. I thank her start walking. As I made my way towards, the room I saw Hari maa and Ayesha mam and Ayan sir. I glance towards the room they are facing and its ICU. what ??? why is Kriti kept in ICU? Is Kriti that sick that she has to be kept in ICU? I get worried and walk towards them. "Ayesha mam ...". I call her, once she sees me she hugs me. "Mam, why are you crying and what's going on? why is Kriti kept in ICU ?" I ask them. "Oh... A..ANU ...i..its ...seems Kri...Kriti ..has a hol..hole in her heart. "Ayesha mam tells me crying ."What, h..how could...she was fit and fine running around the house till yesterday."I state. It was true Kriti is a healthy baby, then how is it possible for her to get critical in a day."Ya ! even we thought the same but now she's really ill "Ayan sir tells me. "I sit beside Ayesha mam and try to console her but no one could imagine a mothers pain and all I have to do is that comfort her by her by telling her that everything is fine and Kriti will come running into her arms in no time. After a while when doctor assured that Kriti is fine and the situation was under control. I call Lilly to tell her everything. They must be getting worried. After informing them about the situation, I sit beside Ayesha mam and hold her hand. She looks towards me and tightens the hold on my hand, as I give her a reassuring smile. Ayan sir asks me and Hari maa to go home but I refuse to say that Ayesha mam and Kriti needs me. He doesn't argue much and leaves to drop Hari maa. I stay there and wait for the doctor to come and inform about Kriti. As the doctor comes out, he tells us that he needs to talk and to come into his cabin. Ayesha mam looks tensed and I hold her hand assuring her. I wish Ayan sir would have been here instead of me with Ayesha mam while talking with the doctor. I call Ayan sir to tell him to come fast but he says that he's stuck in traffic and asked me to go with Ayesha mam. I sigh and follow Ayesha mam. As we enter, the doctor asks us to take a seat. "So Mrs.Ayan, as I told you that Kriti has a hole in her heart and that has to be filled soon. I assure you that Kriti will be fine in no time but we have done the operation as soon as possible. As we are in the 21st century, we can use the technology and fill the hole and it would be completed in no time ,So I suggest you choose a date for the operation and till then you could take Kriti home with you, and just take care of her diet properly and handle her with care and once the operation is done, she'll be fine in no time . "

As we exit the hospital, Ayesha mam asked me if we could live with for a few days as Kriti is attached to us. I tell that we had already packed and came to their house and that's when I got to know about Kriti and rushed to the hospital. She thanks me for staying by her side, and that she's grateful that we are staying in their home for a few days. Ayan sir was Carrying Kriti in his arms. The poor soul is still sleeping due to antibiotics. We reached home and we go inside to be greeted by Preeti, Hari maa, and Lilly. As Ayesha mam was tired, Ayan sir asks us to take rest and that they'll see us tomorrow.

We have our dinner and Hari maa informed us that there were few guests that are coming tomorrow. She warns us to behave to which we laugh and assure her that we will. she leaves our room.





we sleep on our beds. There are three beds for me, Kriti, and Preeti. Kriti begged her father to have three beds in her room as she wanted us to sleep together. But today she was sleeping with her parents. I and Preethi sit together on my bed for studying. As I was reading, I saw that Preeti was in her own thoughts. I waved my hands before her and asked her what. She gestured me to come closer. she gestures me telling that the guests who are coming were Ayesha mam's aunt and her both sons who are super handsome. "Who told you all this? and why do you care if they are handsome or good looking ." She gestures me saying that there might be a chance for me to become their target." which target?"I didn't get her a minute but understood that she was telling me that there was a chance for me to date one of those guys when I see the mischievous smile on her face. I narrowed my eyes at her."Really! Why me? It would be you who will be dating one of them because they will fall in love with you at first sight."I tease her as she hits me with a pillow and then we have a pillow fight. After having fun, we go to our bed, wishing goodnight to each other. Preethi told me that there are two sons for her. One is 'k', then who is this other one ....

Arjuns pov:-

We sit in our private jet. I sit beside Ari maa. "Arjun, bhai, Kanna, there's something that I have to tell you guys. After reaching there, I want you guys not to work for a few days and we are going to stay in your sister's house for a while. Aaaa....don't talk, let me complete. So, as I was telling you guys that we are going to stay in your sister's house for a while because there's a reason. I am afraid how you guys are going to take this. Our little Kriti,  not feeling well from a few days and the reason is that she is having a hole in her heart. So.....". "What and you're telling us this now?"Dad asked getting angry. She is very close to dad and he thinks that her nature is just like mom."Dad, it's not the time for getting angry ....so Ari maa, what are we going to do? What did doctor suggest ?"I asked. "Yes mom, we have to take a step before the situation is out of control," K said worriedly. " Ya, they had already consulted a doctor and it seems he told them to decide a date for operating,  that they can fill the hole. "I just can't wait to see my baby."My dad said. Ya, the poor child has been suffering from breathing problem." Ari maa said. "Everything is going to be alright," I assured her.

Preethi's Pov:-

I sleep on my bed after having a pillow fight with Anu. Anu is really a mysterious girl. It's been 10years that we have been together but she is hiding something from me. I don't know whether she knows everything about her or not. When I confronted her about what she's hiding from me but she told me that she'll tell me when the right time comes. I guess I'll have to wait till then. Apart from that, she is really a sweet girl. she has always been with me in hard times and she never got any problem of me being dumb. She never really cared about people who wanted to befriend her left because I am her best friend. She would just tell me, instead of being friendly with those mean people, it would be 100 times better for having a sweet friend like me. And when it comes to her past. She told me that her parents had been killed on her birthday, which is the day after tomorrow. Whenever I remind her about her birthday, she starts getting panic attacks. Not only that she even gets Nightmares of that night. Even Ayesha mam knows about her panic attacks. Mom really gets worried about her. Mom even asked Anu she wants to adopt her but Anu said that it is not needed because there's no need some papers to decide her relationship with us.I was never jealous of her that mom cared for her. It's just that she's so sweet that I am more than happy to accept her as my sister. I sigh. Never have I ever felt bad that I lost my voice. It's because even though I can't speak I got everything that I always dreamed of having in my life.
