3 Chapter-3

Third person's Pov:-

It is a busy day. As always the artistic golden sun got up like a baby and started painting the dark sky into a bright blue sky. There are people walking on both sides of the streets of New York City.

The smartly dressed men and women were hurrying towards the tall glass building named Roy groups, multinational conglomerate company.

Every part of the office screamed of confidence. There were people maintaining office services by organising office operations and procedures; preparing payrolls; controlling correspondence; and filing systems.



Roy group, it is an Indian multinational conglomerate holding company headquarters in New York. It's one of the best companies in the world and made India proud of its success. The employees worked hard day and night for the company to keep its success constant.

The Ex-C.E.O of the company, Akash Roy made his way towards the C.E.O 's cabin. He is in his late 60's but still was handsome enough to steal a woman's heart.

Akash retired from his work when he was confident enough that his son was ready to take over the company. As the elevator doors opened to the 46th floor of the building, he rushed towards the conference room which was on the right side of the C.E.O 's cabin. As he entered the cabin, the board members and his clients stood up to greet him. He greeted them and sat on his chair. " Good morning  to you too gentlemen, so shall we start the meeting." All were hesitating to say something but Akash's P.A said," Sir, but Arjun sir hasn't arrived yet. " It was strange that the C.E.O of the company hasn't arrived yet. It was for the first time that the meeting got delayed.

As they were about to say something the doors of the conference room burst open revealing a handsome young man. His looks screamed confidence. Strong, tall, Studly, board sculpted, with sharp features. A shiver ran down everyone's spine as they saw how intimidating he looked. His strong figure walked passed through the table towards the C.E.O's chair. The women in the conference room eyed him like a piece of women. It's was shame that even married women were desperately seeking for his attention. Everyone greeted him and all he gave was just and.. Sensing the tension in the air Akash said, " so, as the C.E.O is here now, shall we start the meeting...". Everyone nodded and the meeting started. As the time passed everyone discussed the problems but they were not big enough for the C.E.O himself to involve and take care of. But there was a problem that Arjun himself has to deal with. Their company in India has been recently not showing good signs. As the case was being discussed Akash eyed his son's facial expressions. Arjun was sitting calmly and was listening to the person who was talking. Akash thought that he has to talk to Arjun about that particular matter. Of course, how could he not notice the changes in the company since Arjun took over the C.E.O position? The company has reached a new level.  Though Arjun was born with a silver spoon, he had worked hard day and night for the company.  

As the meeting got completed Arjun excused himself and went towards his cabin.

The C.E.O's cabin is a big and well-furnished room which gets a way more natural light. The window just beside the huge mahogany table gives one of the spectacular views of New York City.



As Arjun entered his cabin he found something suspicious. It didn't take long enough for him to sense someone else' presence. As he looked around he found a manly figure standing facing the large window. He knew who it was but it surprised him as he didn't expect the man who is his best friend to be this early. As the man sensed the presence behind him he turned to look at Arjun. And he said, " Why are you giving me that surprised look, it's just me ?" Arjun said, "  No, it's just that I was wondering if the sun rose from West today as you are here quite early  Kashish." Kashish narrowed his eyes and said, " So you mean to say that I am not a morning person." " Yes, you aren't." Akash said while entered." But I am trying my best pa ." Kashish whined. " Ya and I am happy about that, I guess you had stopped having  one night stands, and someone else started it." Kashish grinned as Akash averted his gaze to Arjun. ". But pa, what else can Arjun do, girls throw themselves on him, as they can't resist his charms. And he's a man after all ." Kashish said. Arjun stayed silent though part of it is true, he didn't say anything and sat on his chair.

"Okay, I know, I can't argue with you both, so let me tell you guys that day after tomorrow is a big day for three of us and you know what it is.  " Arjun knew it. How could he forget that? It is his love's birthday. The only person who dared to scold and punish Arjun.  Not even Akash could do that. The only person who took care of him since his mother left him. He wouldn't dare to forget that day. "Ya, so, as it's her birthday, what are we guys gonna do? " Kashish asked.  " She's in Paris 'K', so we have to reach there on time. " Arjun said. That's what Arjun call Kashish ' K'.  "No, she's not, she's coming here today and we'll be leaving India tomorrow. " Arjun was getting irritated, as his father mentioned India again. He left that place when he was 16 and never intended to go there again. It reminded of his mother who left him when he still was a kid. He hated himself for not visiting her grave every year with his father but he was afraid, afraid that he would break down and reflect his pain which he buried deep inside since she left him. Not even a single tear left his eye when he heard that his mother was no longer alive.  He was shocked to hear that the women of who loved him with all her heart and went through so much pain to give him birth was no longer alive. It shattered him. But he couldn't even utter a word. And then, he left that country which reminded him of her. " You have to let it go Arjun, for how many more years will you avoid that place? , It's our home Arjun, someday or the other we have to go there. And that day, I think is tomorrow, your Ari maa is coming today and we have to leave tomorrow. And there is something which is bothering your Ari maa from many days ."

Arjun's Pov:-

As I listened to my father speaking, I didn't know what to speak. He is a very determinant person. I understood that this time there was no going back. I have to face this. " And Arjun, we have our company in India which isn't showing good signs. So I guess we have to leave India tomorrow and don,t give me any of your excuses. If it is work that you are worried about we can handle it from India and I guess, our employees are worth enough of looking after the company in the absence of their boss . " my dad said.

I guess its time then and moreover Ari maa won't allow me to stay here in New York on her birthday. I can't say no to her in any matter, as she is the one that took care of me after my late mother.  As I was in my thoughts K waved his hands before me. " Hey, where are you lost? , I know its hard for you but we all are there for you. You don't have to remember your past any more, so what that Sahana mom is not there with us, we have our Ari maa, now you don't want to upset her, do you? Come on man... there's something mom wanted to say and she sounded really worried. " He's right, Ari maa was worried when I had talked to her yesterday. I don, t want her to be worried about anything. She treated me as more than her son. So this isn't a problem I guess. "Ok, Dad, I'll come ." My dad smiled and gave me a hug. "hey, I forgot to say you that devil her self-ordered that you, yourself have to pick her up from the Airport, or she wouldn't move an inch." I smiled ."Of course, I'll pick her up and I'll also tell her that you were addressing her as the devil. " As I teased  my dad, he narrowed his eyes at me."You wouldn't do that, she'll punish me for days for just calling her that, I don't want to face that tigress, have some mercy on your old father ."My dad whined. "Oh come on, you are calling yourself old, didn't you see how Ms.Rose checks you out. " K teased my dad. Ms Rose is in her late 40's and is very desperate to seek my dad's attention and become Rose Akash Roy. " Oh come on, now is not the time to talk about my fan following, Arjun, I guess you have to leave now and Kashish you come with me. K nods. I sigh as I see them walk out of my office.

AT THE AIRPORT :

I was waiting for Ari maa to come. We are meeting after a long time. Its been a month since I saw her. She visits us once a month or more as she lives in Paris. I love her to death . as I was thinking about maa. I heard someone calling me. I guess I know who it is? "Baby........"

I heard maa call me. I grinned as she ran to me and hugged me. "How are you, my baby boy."My maa aks me. "Ari maa, I am not a baby any more .....". I whined. Ari ma gently slapped my hand and said, "Shut up,  Arjun, you are always a baby to me ." That's why I love her because she loves me like her own child. She kissed my forehead and asked me how I was. I told her that everything is normal and that I agreed to go to India. As I said India, she halted in her place and looked at me."I swear Arjun, I have no intention of hurting you by taking you with me to India ."She says with tears in her eyes. I cupped her face and said, "I know and I won't regret my desition. So, you don't have to worry about anything, okay." She nodded smiling. I grabbed her luggage and we walked towards my car.

I took her hand as I entered my house. I saw dad and K rushing towards us. "Mom......."

"Ari.......".My dad and K screamed. "Bhai ... " maa runs towards them they hugged each other. After aking their wellbeing maa was tired, so we called it a night. 

I entered my room and took a shower. After changing, I got ready for bed. Everything happened so fast and tomorrow I am leaving for India after so many years. I hope I won't regret going back there.
