29 Maou: Asterius Asmodeus

The wind blowing gently and the sun hanging high in the sky I stood before my uncle Callum's grave stone.

As with most Belial he's been placed within our family burial grounds upon our ancestral lands.

The flowers in my hand I placed them at the base of his tombstone.

More than a year has passed since Callum passed on.

In that time many things have happened.

The night Callum died I cried myself to sleep.

That was the first time in a long time I had done so. Ever since I was a child in my previous life. His death sent him spiraling a bit. But thanks to Angelica and Grayfia slapping some sense into me and also giving me some physical contact in a wonderous threesome I made it through his passing.

As I did the Anti-Maou faction soliders who witnessed Callum's death got a fire lit under them. Especially Ruval and my other close friends.

The new of my uncle's death spreading far and wide, and the cause of it caused a chain reaction. All over the devil territory of the underworld many devils working within the Maou faction armies deserted and surrendered themselves peacefully to the Anti-Maou faction armies. Conversely, the Anti-Maou faction soldiers treated the deserters with the utmost respect and courtesy.

This left the remaining power within the Maou faction, Bidleid Beelzebub ass out.

His forces deserting him or being killed for not laying down their arms left and right, all he could do was hold up in Lucifaad, until eventually Sirzechs and Serafall led the charge and killed his ass.

There wasn't even an attack on Eligos, so Falbium just spent his time making war plans and sleeping.

He called his dream job.

I didn't doubt him one bit.

Anyway, once the war ended I immediately returned home. Sharing the news of Callum's death with the rest of the family.

Cleria hit me right in the face after I did so.

I didn't blame her or try to stop her. She was hurting so I let her vent until she had her fill. Besides, her punches didn't hurt me at all.

Once Cleria was done she apologized to me, and I accepted it. We then all mourned Callum together as a family, having his funeral and a giant memorial for all the rest who died during the civil war as well

In other news that fucker Euclid disappeared without a trace. I've been tracking to track him down but I've gotten shit. The same with that cocksucker Rivezim.

Those two fuckers sure know how to run and hide.

Once I learned this I stopped looking for them.

At least loudly. Quietly I have feelers out everywhere in the supernatural world and in the human world. So when either of those fuckers pop up they better get ready to meet me, the monster hiding in their fucking closets who will tear them limb from limb.

I swear it.

And even if I don't find I know they will join Khaos Brigade in another five centuries so I can just carve the flesh from their skin then.

Patience is a virtue. Especially when getting revenge.

I can wait.

Moving on, two months after the war ended Roygun gave birth.

Even after putting my life on the war nothing scared me as much as that moment did. But everything turned out ok. Roygun survived, and now we have a beautiful baby girl.

She has Roygun's pink hair and pink eyes, but both are shades darker thanks to my genetics. However unlike her mother she doesn't have horns on her head. No matter, we still love her all the same.

Our little girls name is Meredy.

I chose it because the girl from Fairy Tail with the same name had the exact same looks as our child. Plus the name Meredy just screams joy and happiness when you hear it, at least for me it does. And so with everything we went through I thought we could use some joy in our lives.

Roygun agreed with me.

Thus that is the story of how Meredy Belial came into this world.

Also, she is a super-devil just like her own man. I almost forget to mention that.

When Meredy came out of Roygun, her demonic power was off the charts. She also pulled a Sirzechs. She floated up into the air and cracks started forming in the air itself, space beginning to twist.

So she definitely inherited the clan trait of the Belphegor clan.

The only ones could touch in that moment were me, and her mother. Even though the latter isn't as strong as me. Its like Meredy instinctively knew her mother, and kept her power from hurting her.

Bond between a parent and child.

There is no explanation for it anywhere. It just is.

News of Meredy's birth soon spread. But she was my child, and everyone knew of my strength both politically and physically, on snake dared crawled out of the woodworks to come at me with some bullshit about a marriage contract or anything like that. Even Zekram kept his mouth shut, worried I must just decided to get rid of me.

Which I would do mind you.

No one is going to force my little girl into anything. She is going to be able to be whatever she wants and do whatever she wants, being with whoever she wants. Whether it is a boy, or a girl. I'm not a prejudice person. That is why no matter who she chooses as her lover I will scare them just a little bit.

It's one of my duties as her father.

Moving on from that, weddings bells rang.

I got married to Grayfia at the beginning of the year.

After Callum's death saving her, and the end of the war I didn't want to wait. While I was at it I also married Zest and Esdeath as well, both having no issues with that whatsoever.

A few days after the war ended Esdeath came and asked me to make her my woman officially. A request I was more than happy to oblige.

I then spent an entire day fucking her brains out in celebration.

But I wasn't the only one who got hitched.

Sirzechs decided to tie the knot with Testarossa. While Ajuka shocked everyone and made Albedo his wife.

Again, I said a prayer for him.

Serafall is still single by the way. I thought there was something going on between her and Zechs, but I was wrong.

Another piece of happy news, Ruval is now a big brother just like me.

During the war his mother and father stayed hold up in Phenex territory. One thing led to another, and just a few months ago the second of the Phenex children, Rainart was born. He's a cute little guy.

Anyway, since Elias didn't die in the war he's been helping manage the underworld. After I married his daughter people gave him and chance, and although he is still not trusted completely he is slowly getting there.

Elias is also a great go between the new government and the Maou families. Although there are no Lucifer descendants left in the underworld now, there are plenty Leviathan, Asmodeus, and Beelzebub's still walking around. But it turns out not all of them are pieces of shit. Some of them didn't even want to start the war in the first place. However those individuals came from branch families whose opinions were ignored, and since they had no power they couldn't really do anything about the Maou children.

I didn't blame them one bit.

Sometimes there really is nothing you can do.

That's why we of the new government are trying have an amicable relationship with the remaining three maou clan descendants still left.

Which Zekram was all for.

Just as suspected he made his Great King Faction after the war ended.

But just as I planned it was lesser in maou than the New Maou faction of which I was a part of. I not only brought the Belial house, but also the Lucifuge house with my marriage to Grayfia, and the Belphegor house as well. Then there is my mother's house Belias, of which Meredy could become head of one day since my blood is running through her veins.

Ruval is also in the New Maou faction, along with Elysa and house Eligos since I save them during the war and house Beleth since Camio vouched for us with them. There are also several other pillar clans who joined with the New Maou faction, all thanks to that speech I gave during the beginning of the war.

Speaking of the pillar clans a lot more are around now.

When I first came to this world there 53, but after my intervention during the Civil War instead of losing a large portion of them we only lost a small percentage, but that was due to those clans having already small families still only left to begin with.

Over all, there are 46 pillar clans still in existence.

Which is good.

Most of then are New Maou members, and the Maou descendant family's like us as well.

So like I said before, I would allow Zekram to have is Great King Faction, but if he gets to big for his breeches his ass is grass.

Finally there is one more important piece of information I have to share with you guys, I became a maou.

After everything that happened I just didn't want to sit on my ass and talk shit. I wanted to be a part of the changes directly for the underworld, so when I was recommended I took the position.

So from now on I am known as Asterius Asmodeus.

There is no way I could be a diplomat. That is Serafall's calling.

As for Beelzebub, I don't even think I would know where to begin with creating the evil pieces system. I will leave that up to Ajuka.

Now as to the reason I didn't take up the position of Lucifer even though Grayfia is my wife, it's because I don't feel like bullshitting our catering to disgusting childish nobles all day long. That is right up Sirzechs's ally.

Besides, now that I am in charge of military affairs I've already implemented several changes to the overall structure of the army. Including forming two new branches within the military itself.

The first is the military police unit.

I know how some military officers who come from noble birth would use their power to hinder their subordinates or force them into horrible acts. No way was I going to let that shit fly.

That's why I formed the unit to weed out those fuckers, and punish them when they acted up.

I put a young devil I met during my few months as Asmodeus in charge of it. His name is Sirius Dantalion.

He comes from house Dantalion, but his mother is a common devil, meaning he won't inherit the heirship unless really bad shit goes down. That's why he chose to join the military to make a name for himself. I respected him for that. I also liked his attitude, so I gave him the job and he's been excelling at it.

Mostly in part to the Dantalion clan trait.

It allows members of house Dantalion to turn a part of their entire body into any non-living thing they wish. Weapons like a sword, a vase, or even a desk or chair. Perfect for stealth, infiltration, and information gathering missions.

Sirius has already made several high-profile arrests since he took the position on.

I am glad I selected him for it.

As for the other unit I created, it is known as The Order of the Black Knights.

They are an elite unit of devils who answer only to me. Their primary duties are investigating the crimes of devils such as illegal experimentation or slave trafficking, things along that nature. They will indispensable when Ajuka creates the evil pieces system. I also use them for black ops to take out certain individual within the underworld who don't deserve to breath air any more.

Which the black knights are more than happy to do.

Another thing that makes the knights special is that they are composed of noble devils and common devils, and will also add reincarnated devils into their ranks once they come along.

Their leader is Albedo.

She was my uncle Callum's go-to person and she is someone I know I can trust. Also trying to corrupt her will get you chopped into tiny little pieces. Even Zekram knows that, so he can't touch the Black Knights unless he wants to wake up with Albedo standing over his bed in the middle of the night.

She'd fucking to it too. Albedo is just that bat-shit crazy.

I am scared to think what would happen if she and Ajuka ever had a kid.

If such a thing does come to pass I fear for the future of the devil race, and for whoever that kid marries one day.

But yeah, that's about it.

A smile on my face I walked away from my uncle Callum's gravestone.

Heading over to Roygun was waiting for me, a pink-haired little girl in a cute black-bear onesie in her arms.

"All done?" She asked me once I got to her.

"Yeah." I said.

I then took her hand and we three left the graveyard.

Smiles on our faces.
